My vehicle has been in their shop since March 2024 and it is STILL there. Prefacing my review with this: we have been very patient and more than understanding with Caliber, and I'd also like to note that Jeremy, the GM there, is the only person there who we have had a positive experience there and we don't fault him at all for what's going on since he was handed a complete nightmare of a shop. I've already emailed communitymanager@calibercollision.com and they do not respond. We've filed a complaint with SC Consumer Affair & BBB. Regional manager & VP of SC was emailed with our complaints - no response. MARCH/APRIL 2024: Truck was relinquished to the shop. Service advisor says 3 weeks to a month. We receive a call 3 weeks later that all repairs were done on the truck except a front radiator support was needed that was on backorder indefinitely with Toyota. Service advisor promised consistent communication about status of the part and that was a complete bust. We had to call every week just to be told we would "get a call back" or would be placed on such a long hold that we would hang up. We would keep calling and calling until finally someone would hop on the phone and provide us with an update. End of April, my insurance stopped paying for my rental vehicle, as our policy only covers up to 30 days, and I was then paying out of pocket for my rental at $1100 per month. MAY 2024: we continue to pester Caliber about the part/status of truck since they wouldn't call us nor ever answer the phone. When we could get on the phone with then, they told us part is still on backlog with no estimated delivery date. We asked them to extend their search beyond the greater Charleston area as we saw parts available in Texas and beyond, but they said no - it's against policy. At this point, I spent $3k on a rental car since it was my only means of transportation to my job. End of May, we could no longer afford to make the insane payments on a rental car and instead bought a vehicle since the monthly payment is cheaper than a rental...I needed to get to work and my husband needed something reliable to attend medical appts. JUNE 2024: Shop continues to ghost us, dodging our calls, or calling us back after we'd call 4-5x a week. We got so tired of waiting that we decided to source the part ourselves. Got a family friend to purchase the Front Radiator Support Assembly from a Toyota Dealership in SoCal and mailed it to out our house. We then delivered to the shop. The tech agreed to weld the part into the truck. We fronted $890 of our own money to get this part sourced and delivered. We worked this out with our insurance to get this reimbursed but this attests to the measures we were willing to take to help the shop complete the repairs on our truck. When my husband delivered the part, the tech promised the job would be done by end of June. Still did not hear anything so husband calls the shop again and speaks to Jeremy, the manager, who tells us everyone quit and there is no one available to work on our truck JULY 2024: My husband finally got fed up with getting the run around, so he went into the shop personally. He actually spoke with the regional manager, John, who told us the part was not even welded in yet (the part we went great lengths to source for your shop), even though the shop promised it would be done over a month ago, and it still needs to go into paint, re-assembly, and recalibration. John also promised my husband the truck would be completed no later than July 31, 2024, "the end of the month", as our truck had been in their shop the longest of any client and we were their top priority. He then went on to tell my husband that the tech working on our truck was experiencing medical issues, and shared personal medical information about this technician. My husband thought this was highly unprofessional. AUGUST 2024: Beginning of August, we don't hear anything. we called the shop again. Jeremy told us the truck was still in paint, but that it still needed to undergo re-assembly and recalibration. He told us the truck would not be done for the foreseeable future. This was very disappointing to here, as we had just heard from the regional manager that the truck would be done end of July. Seems he overpromised and underdelivered. Jeremy also stated he suspects when the truck gets into re-assembly that he will find many issues with the workmanship of the technician who started originally working on the truck before quitting and that he would have to redo some of the work, which would delay the truck even longer. Later in the month, Jeremy lets us know the truck is finally in paint and has finished. We continue to get told that the technician on staff is repeatedly calling out, but he's hopeful the truck will be returned to us end of August. At the end of the month, the truck is not finished. SEPTEMBER 2024: As of 9/6/2024, the truck has not been returned. We are suffering due to this shop. read more

I was sent to Calliber Collision by the insurance company handling my claim. I was a bit skeptical, because I was not making the decision on my own where my car would go for the accident repairs. I trusted the insurance company to send me to a quality company. The experience with Calliber from start to finish was professional, polite, and efficient. The claims service representative Michael answered all of my questions regarding the damage and the repairs necessary. He assured me they tested the car programming as they had to change out a light / electrical fix. They handled the paperwork for the insurance payment. He called and text me regarding progress and pick up date. The work looks great, and I would highly recommend Calliber. read more

Progressive used this in network shop to repair my truck. When I picked it up it was filthy. The truck bed had shop dust all in it with shoe prints it has a hard cover they had to remove for repairs therefore it was not like this when I brought it in. The truck had overspray all over except the repair areas. I took it back and spoke with Eddie the manager who agreed it was overspray and assured us they would get it taken care of. I picked it up 3 business days later and all the did was wash it. Now I have to pay for a full detail. read more

Had my truck repaired here Aug 22. They used salvaged headlights on a brand new truck which promptly failed. I have called the location multiple times, walked in multiple times, no one ever does anything to get the correct parts or return my calls. I didn't even get to have my car serviced by Caliber. we had an appointment to bring the car in and it was towed in so not to fur damage the car. Well there is a whole other time line for towed in cars. This was not explained in the initial call to have the car repaired. I told the person we weren't aware of that and she said well we weren't aware you would be towing the car in. But she did know because I called the site thirty minutes before the tow truck arrived. Brianna was very rude. Jamie the office manager was rude to my son when he called. Due to the lack of communication and rudeness we decided to find another repair shop and had the car removed. I will not utilize Caliber in the future because of poor customer service. I can't even comment on the repair service cause of the poor treatment! read more

Don't string a customer along, sending texts EVERY SINGLE DAY to state that the repairs will be completed by end of business day, only to have a new reason for a delay each afternoon. And then, DO NOT report to Geico that repairs were completed when in fact they were not and you still have the car in your possession. Totally unprofessional. We had no preconceived notion of when it would be done, but your daily text messages promising completion resulted in major inconvenience. We did not seek a rental car because each day we were told that the car would be ready. And unbelievably you reported to GEICO that you completed the repair work on 04/10/18. It is now 04/13/18 and the car is not ready. This blatant lying gets people in trouble. read more

Update -------------------------------------------10/15/2018 I came home and thought I should update my review since after contacting the insurance estimator and going onto caliber corporate chat to refer them to this review they did fix my bumper. The caliber chat person said we will take care of it from here. The adjuster told me she would make sure it was up to her specs. It was not. The rear bumper cover is fine now, it is acceptable. And, now I see the response below from Trey. From what I am told Trey is the name of the manager I was dealing with Friday night. He knows my situation and is the one that said he will fix the car if my insurance company paid for it. I guess there could be 2 managers named Trey. If there are then I apologize. This is the absolute worst service I have ever received. I had to go pick up my car three times. They called the first time to say it was ready and the paint job was absolutely horrible. It had craters, dirt and clear coat drips. The technician's only response was oh you know what to look for. The second time I was called the paint was better not perfect, however when I got in the vehicle a large message saying bumper sensor malfunction was displayed on the screen and somehow the technician missed it. After waiting for 45 minutes I was told I would not be getting my vehicle that day either because they forgot to re-calibrate the sensor when they took the car apart to repaint it. One day later I was called and said that they had missed a broken wiring harness and it would be at yet another week for my car in the repair shop. The day I finally picked up my car there was no apology or anything. My car was on empty for gas and no one seem to care that they had kept my car for five weeks and had given me a subpar repair job. I will never go back to caliber collision ever and I recommend that no one else does either!!! they don't seem concerned with quality only with money!! I took my car to Caliber after some collision damage, and due to a backlog of a needed part, Caliber took over my rental car coverage once my insurance ran out. I got the car back with a scratch on the door and a loose hose clamp, and Caliber paid for it to be towed from I-26, fixed the scratch in the door for free, detailed the entire car for free, and reimbursed me for my rental costs. Trey contacted me after hours to make sure that everything was taken car of within 48 hours. Great customer service. read more

My car was towed to this location after an accident. After being declared a totla loss, Service Advisor Hal Mitchell assisted me through the process of getting my property back. Since I live in Florida, that meant Hal had to get the items and physically take them to the FEDEX to be sent to me. Hal was courteous, responsive and sympathetic to my anxiety. After three days, I get my car only to find out that one of the technicians or somebody stole a pocket knife that a dead relative gave me for Christmas a few years ago.
