Update Aug 2026: 4 years later and I'm just excited as the first day of my BMW purchase!!!! The staff is one of a kind!!! It just doesn't get better than the BMW Sales Manager -Alex Greene, the Service Manager Jared Young, Trae Glidewell who is not just the BMW Business Manager, but also a genius when it comes to everything you need to know about your BMW--Tom Heater who sold me two BMW's (soon a 3rd), last but not least Keith Giacobe, Nicole Floegel & Dustin Johnson in service. When I tell you I've never seen such an organized and dedicated TEAM!!!! Words can't describe this group! Rick Hendrick knew what he was doing when he set the standards of excellence!! Update Dec 2025 - My experiences with the service department at Rick Hendrick BMW has always been awesome. Keith, Dustin and Taron were always excellent in ensuring that my vehicle was properly serviced and that I was happy. I had the opportunity to speak with Jared Young, the Service Manager as he checked on me several times, as I noticed he did with several other customers, to be certain we were taken care of and that we were happy with the service we were receiving at the BMW dealership. While I waited for my BMW to be serviced, they provided ample snacks, a Keurig coffee/tea/hot chocolate beverage machine, water, soda, an off side office equipped with a table for you to conduct your business and use your laptop, and a nice lounge with comfortable seating and TV for viewing. When my vehicle was finished being services, the technician sent me a video that not only showed what he accomplished, but what needed to be done. That was really cool to see what he was explaining. If top-notch service with a professional staff and an awesome atmosphere is what you desire, there is no other place to service your needs than Rick Hendricks BMW. Oh, did I mention they provided me with a complimentary car wash?! UPDATE! It is now Sept. 2025 and I'm so in love with my car! Keith Giacobe was my new service guy! He was professional, knowledgable and personable! He made sure I had a loaner (by the way, pleeassseee check out the BMW 2 series--a ton of power packed in an SUV--it actually had a lot of room, especially in the back seats and trunk..a true beauty), he also ensured my car was clean as a whistle inside and out! Awesome service! I previously had Nicole Floegel as my service advisor and she is top knotch awesome as well! UPDATE! It is now July 2024 and I'm still overly excited about my BMW! I have to say that I do not believe I would have so much enjoyment had it not been for the expertise of my service advisor, Taron! He has exceeded in service, courtesy, and professionalism time and time again! The video of my car explaining what the service entailed was super cool! I've overheard Taron speaking with other BMW owners. His candor reminds us all that we are not just customers, but we are apart of the Rick Hendricks "family"! Taron is a pure asset in the Rick Hendricks business. UPDATE! It is now March 2024 and I am still ecstatic about my purchase! My service advisor is Taron. He is very pleasant, courteous, professional and he basically over exceeds my expectations! He will be the reason as to why I will remain a BMW customer! Original Post: I had an awesome experience at Rick Hendrick BMW in Charleston, South Carolina! James was my salesperson. He was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. During the test drive he showed me exciting features that I was unaware were included with the BMW X6. James was able to perfectly situate me with building my 2022 X6 xDrive40i with a M Sport package. James also provided information that allowed us to receive a military incentive. When my BMW X6 arrived (did I mention the car only took four weeks to build DURING covid?) we walked into Rick Hendrick BMW with a check issued by NFCU. However, due to the expertise of Alex Greene, the sales manager, and Oliver, the finance guru, we shredded the check and opted to allow Rick Hendricks BMW to finance our vehicle at an awesome rate! As to Trae, where do I start! He is truly the genius brains of the BMW operating system! His knowledge far surpasses all by his ability to explain the functions of any of the BMW models in a way that is easy to understand. I asked a lot of questions and he was a very patient trainer. Trae upgraded his position and is now an outstanding salesman! My service guy is Taron. He is knowledgeable and professional. He keeps me updated on my vehicle and ensures excellent customer service! I would be remiss if I did not mention the receptionists at the entrance into the dealership. These ladies provide the pleasant comfort zone and atmosphere of the dealership and make you feel at home. BMW --please continue your efforts in ensuring that these ladies are appreciated! read more

I am back today after I had a flying golf ball break one of the parking sensors. I now have over 120K miles on the car and while it still runs great, it's also about time I start thinking about my next one. While waiting for them to give me an estimate on the cost of my repair, I met on the sales floor with Marley. She made it super easy and I'm excited about all the different options. Thanks Marley!! read more

Great experience from start to finish. Follow up for some additions were great as well. Kevin our sales guy was a low pressure knowledgeable rock star, Tristan who handled a tinting issue I had was professional and made sure I was satisfied with their work and assure me he would handle any issues if I had any later. Exec team were all top notch as well from sales to finance. Well oiled machine! read more

Recently went in for an oil change and a recall. My service advisor was Robby Barnes. He was very professional and prompt.

Responded quickly to get me into the shop, gave me a loaner car, fixed my car, all with professionalism. A special nod to Ian

This was by far the best car buying experience we have ever had!! Peter was amazing! He was attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He helped me find the perfect car that I wasn't even looking for. Seth in finance was awesome as well! Thank you both! read more

Adam Ballou was an excellent steward of the brand. Adam was an outstanding Client Advisor--kept me informed and provided a no-hassle deal. The GM, Jamie Camilo was also excellent. Throughout the process, he kept in touch to ensure everything was moving along at my satisfaction while waiting for the vehicle to arrive. The Business Manager, Trae Glidewell was also excellent. Made the process fast and easy and explained add-ons and didn't pressure me to purchase. Being new to the area and having a new relationship with this BMW establishment, I will be a faithful customer for years to come! Excellent team! read more

Great experience working with Robby Barnes at my appointment! Very thankful for his help.

0 stars. Hendrick BMW has taken incompetence and disregard for customers to a whole new level. Their service department claims there isn't a single replacement dash IN THE ENTIRE WORLD (part number 51-45-9-502-958 ) for my 2022 BMW X5M Competition. Not one. On a $115K+ vehicle, still under factory warranty. Are you serious? To make matters worse, they refuse to provide a loaner or approve a rental, forcing me to keep driving the car. This not only delays my plans to sell it but also piles on miles and increases the risk of further damage--all because BMW can't manage to track down a dash part. What kind of luxury brand can't support their own product or offer a meaningful solution beyond "we'll let you know"? Absolutely pathetic. The sheer arrogance and lack of accountability from this dealership/ service department--and the Hendrick Automotive brand as a whole--are astounding. Rest assured; I will never own a BMW or buy another car from a Hendrick dealer ever again. Anytime I hear someone mention a Hendrick dealership or BMW, I'll make sure they know exactly how abysmal this experience has been. Hendrick BMW is a joke and their so-called luxury is just a façade. Avoid at all costs. read more

We had an amazing experience at Hendrick BMW! We recently bought BMW x5 2023 there. And Peter Stuart, the salesperson who helped us was absolutely fantastic. He was helpful, patient, and professional every time we came in( and we visited more than once). My husband and I both agree that Peter is the best salesperson we've ever met. If you buying a car, go see Peter. You won't regret it! Thank you, Peter, for making the whole process easy and enjoyable! read more

We are sharing this review to warn other families and buyers, especially those considering purchasing a used BMW from Rick Hendrick BMW. We purchased a 2018 BMW X3 from Rick Hendrick BMW and owned the vehicle for just over one year when we were informed by their service department that the engine had failed and required a total engine replacement, quoted at approximately $17,000-20,0000. What made this experience especially troubling was how we were treated once the issue arose. Despite still owing over $20,000 on the vehicle, Rick Hendrick BMW offered our family $600 as a trade-in value. This effectively communicated that, without an engine, the vehicle, its body, interior, wheels, electronics, and remaining components, was considered nearly worthless. The rims alone are worth more than that. After everything we've been through, this offer felt deeply insulting and dismissive. We were also told, over the phone, that because we did not always service the vehicle at Rick Hendrick BMW, there was nothing they could do. During our ownership, the only service the vehicle required was routine oil changes, and driving 45+ minutes to the dealership for basic maintenance was not always practical. We were never informed that this would later be used against us in a situation involving a catastrophic engine failure. It is also important to note that the check engine light never came on and still has not, even with the engine deemed failed, raising serious concerns about how sudden and undetectable this issue was for an average consumer. We reached out directly to both the General Manager and the Used Car Manager seeking assistance or goodwill support and were met with indifference. Our concerns were minimized, and our experience was completely undermined. We have three children and relied on this vehicle for school and sports transportation. The lack of empathy, accountability, or effort to assist a family facing a devastating and unexpected failure was shocking. If you are considering purchasing a used vehicle here, especially without a comprehensive warranty, please understand the risk you are assuming and how little support you may receive if something goes wrong. I would never want another family to find themselves in the position we are now. read more

I had a dead battery in my 2020 BMW x1. I took my car to Rick Hendrick BMW to have the battery replaced because I trusted the dealership to replace the battery correctly, quickly. Instead, I waited 3 days to have the battery replaced, and was told by the dealership that my vehicle with just 35,000 miles on it had broken engine mounts, faulty spark plugs, needed and oil change, and new air filters costing upwards of $2000 dollars. They were insistent that the engine mount issue was serious and needed to be dealt with immediately. I was shocked to hear all of this as my car had been running normally until the dead battery. I am very glad that I trusted my gut and only allowed them to change the battery. After picking up my vehicle I noticed that my oil warning light was on (it wasn't when I dropped it off) despite not needing a change for several more months. Concerned about the alleged problems the dealership pointed out, I made an appointment with a local european car shop to have them perform an oil change and perform diagnostics. They informed me that there was no problems with the engine mounts or the spark plugs in my vehicle, but that my oil sensor was now faulty, and they could not turn off the warning light. Not only did the dealership try to swindle me into fake repairs that were not needed, but they also intentionally caused my oil sensor to fault. I will never take me car to this dealership again, and want to prevent this from happening to others. read more

All of the 5 start reviews for this dealership is of patrons purchasing their car, ofc when a dealer wants you to purchase a 40k+ vehicle you will get superb service, but don't you dare ever use their service department. Since I've had my vehicle I've only ever taken it to bmw getting the services they have suggested and Everytime they've failed me worse than the last. 2 times in one year. Wiper motor went less than a year ago took it to them w/in 10 minutes of leaving I noticed my car was doing something weird (they broke something else under the hood ). They then kept my vehicle an additional 5 days while they fixed THEIR MISTAKE. Now less than a year later took my vehicle in bc the coolant low light came on, asked them to do a full inspection they came back with a quote of two repairs totaling $2500, 10 days ,less than 500 miles later, light back on. I take it to them BMW now wants $4800 more dollars, they say the repair caused another issue,. I've now consulted with 2 other licensed mechanics that have explained to me that scenario is highly unlikely . The folks here are ethically misguided and lack the skills to complete a job. Im due for a car in about a year. Was gearing towards bmw but with Hendricks BMW being the dealer in the area I highly advise avoiding BMW like the plague read more

Josh Steele did a remarkable job making the car buying process quick, easy, and informative. He was able to translate my daily needs easily into a vehicle that I am still loving to this day. Hats off read more

Once you step into the shop, they will make you wait at least for a good 5 minutes. The blonde lady in the front will NOT greet you, although she seems to be the welcomer. She won't look at you and she won't acknowledge you. All she can say to the customers us "someone will be with you lol." My carwash experience at other BMW stores has been very pleasant. But I wonder if they actually wash my car at this place. It's so dirty. It's almost like nothing has been done. At one point, I asked if they could wash my car and one of the male workers said "car wash..? " As if he doesn't know what car wash is. YES, I am here to get the service that BMW provides. There is nothing to be so amazed about cleaning my car! Anyways, the building itself is clean. But service wise? Hm I don't know. If you want to wait FOREVER for someone to assist you KINDLY, maybe you should give this place a try. read more

He also took care of my mom when she got her X1 a few weeks ago. Keaton in finance was also very helpful and made sure i understood everything! If you find yourself in Charleston and need your BMW fixed, you'll want to take it here. With the level of maintenance BMW's require, many service departments stay at capacity or overbooked, in general. As a brand, BMW AG makes stringent customer satisfaction demands from dealerships and service departments, so good service is something that is expected and is received. Normally, I would never write a Yelp review over an experience at a car dealership, but RHB provided me with a phenomenal customer service experience that made my family more comfortable while facing a difficult situation. I am profoundly impressed that a dealership of this size is able to provide the level we received. read more

I bought my 2022 BMW 330i from Peter Stuart of Rick Hendrick BMW of South Carolina end of November, 2024. Everything was paid for including the shipment to Texas and the processing of my license plates to replace the dealer plates. The required insurance coverage document and vehicle inspection Mr. William Andrew Lowry received from me on 3rd of January, 2025. Since then, Mr. Lowry has gone incommunicado. My dealer plates expired on January 16th. 2025. Since then. I have been using Uber although I bought a car from Rick Hendrick BMW of South Carolina. This is a terrible experience for me. read more

Buying my second new car from Rick Hendrick BMW was yet again a seamless, pleasant experience. Keaton Adams took special care of me and made the entire process fun, exciting and fulfilling. Oh how I wanted to have a positive experience here. I used to come here for service a few years ago and never had any issues. I came in for my the first maintenance for my car. I scheduled my appointment two weeks ago based on the availability of a loaner car. When I came in, I was told there weren't any loaners available. I was offered a ride to work. Or I could wait an hour since only an oil change was needed. I declined both offers because I needed a car so I could get around for the day. My service advisor said he would see if they had any rentals available...I didn't question it. He returned and said a loaner had come back so I could take that one...ok, cool. I called the next day to see if my car was ready. I was informed they had gotten backed up so it wasn't and they would call me when it was ready. The next morning, I got a call. I called back to say I wouldn't be able to return it until the following day which was Saturday. As a courtesy, I called Saturday morning to say I would be coming in. Saturday afternoon, I received a call saying my car was ready. I know...I just called you a few hours ago. Upon arrival, my car was ready, however, it wasn't washed or maybe it was. But it was a really awful job. Each service comes with a complimentary wash--my expectations aren't that high when it comes to free things. However, I expected a better job than what I received. Sigh...I guess I'm stuck getting my maintenance here for a while. read more

The absolute worst service I have ever experienced. It is appalling that Jarrod the service manager & Jamie the general manager represent this brand! The experience was rude, unprofessional , complaints ignored and follow up refused. 4th time BMW owner and shocked! Have forwarded concerns to corporate . I would NOT recommend this dealership. Horrible experience, and extremely rude leadership! Read the reviews they are pretty consistent! Hopefully BMW will Conduct a true review after the GM refused to acknowledge, address, respond to our formal complaints with service. Instead ignored and became defensive upon our follow up refusing to pull the service call or do any type of investigation or follow up after car was damaged. Very poor management read more

Try this for laughs; go to BMW website and look up current lease deals. Then, go in here and act like ya don't know nuthin'-- see them come up with a monthly payment HUNDREDS of dollars more a month for same car w/ almost identical packages/options and within $1500 MSRP, then walk out gauffawing. Unless paying that extra $9K on a lease on a $60K car doesn't bother you-- then you should definitely buy here. read more

I could have not been more pleased with my recent experience at BMW of Charleston. My salesman Sam Morrow was very helpful and easy to work with during the entire process. The process was very smooth from beginning to end. Morrow was professional, personable, polite, genuine, thorough, and extremely considerate. I rented a car and drove down from Charlotte, NC, and after the purchasing process was completed, Sam drove my BMW to the airport in Charleston so that I could return the rental. BMW just bought back our brand new X5 because of a major, life threatening malfunction. I've never encountered worst customer service in my life throughout the entire process than I received from this dealership. Our brand new x5 suffered a high voltage malfunction that caused the vehicle to completely turn off on the highway. A 4 month process, with no vehicle, and BMW was forced to a buy back. I went today to pick up a key fob that I purchased from Hendricks BMW. I was told that the service department would program the new $305 key to my 328I convertible coupe. I picked up the key fob from parts after waiting for a while for the parts attendant to acknowledge and decide to help me. He said I could go to service and they would program the key to my car. I walked over to service and waited while the service lady at the front desk talked about her personal life with another worker for about 10-15 minutes. She said she would be with me next and kept talking to her friend about personal matters. I was ready to leave when finally the service manager walked by and asked if I needed help. He asked two of his employees if they were able to help me. Both were just sitting at their desk and both said no. Then another employee said they would help me. He took the new key fob went to my car stuck it in the ignition and turned on the car evidently initializing the fob. He got out and handed it to me fairly curtly. I asked if my old fob could have the battery replaced and he rudely said no and walked away. I felt like I was contagious or something by the way I was treated. Very rude ugly service. So I will not be taking my car back there for service, and I will never go back there for any reason whatsoever. They were very rude. The girl at the desk in service didn't even have time to help me but she had time to discuss her personal life for 10 to 15 minutes and ignore me a paying customer. so no I do not recommend this company and I definitely do not recommend their service department which I'm sure reflects their sales department and management read more

I purchased a vehicle from another Hendrick dealership and could get no help with an issue after purchasing the vehicle. The finance manager, Mr Altman, was able to resolve my issue without going thru the other dealership. There's a reason why people dislike used car salesmen/dealerships. I was interested in a Porsche 911 listed by Rick Hendrick BMW. They initially listed the vehicle for sale in mid-October for over $55,500. I bookmarked the listing and watched as they slowly dropped the price. On December 7, 2021, they dropped the price to $47,955. That day, I emailed the dealership through it's website to inquire about the car. Early the next morning, Keaton left me a voicemail and followed up with an email. Within the email, he provided a link with the information on the car which included the advertised price of $47,955. While I was doing some research to find a mechanic to conduct a pre-purchase inspection, I received another phone call from Keaton. I ask him several questions, and requested some financing information and a breakdown of the total out-the-door price, including any dealer fees. Keaton emails a "pricing worksheet." Instead of the advertised price, the price of the car was $49,995, $2000 more than advertised. He also tells me that the higher price is the one he's using with another potential buyer. I responded, and asked for clarification given the ad and the link he sent with the lower price. Keaton responds, stating: "The selling price is $49,995, I'm not sure where you were seeing the $47,995, but it is priced right now at the $49,995." I respond, and remind him the lower price is IN THE LINK he sent me that morning. We exchange two more emails about other questions I had and Keaton suggests I put down a $1,000 non-refundable deposit to secure the car against the other potential buyer. Keaton then starts texting me. He texts me a few pictures of the car, as I had requested. When I tell him that I'm waiting for him to respond about the pricing, he states he was unaware of the price change and that it was done "shortly before and during our conversations today" and that the price was increased "due to the overall demand of the car." LOL, seriously?! You advertise a lower price to get people interested and then raise the price the next day after people got interested? At best, that practice is tacky AF and at worst, it is false advertising. read more

Their service department couldn't be any worse. Rude, arrogant, and not knowledgeable about the cars they sell or how the BMW warranty process works. This review is based on a first impression from a sales associate experience, I will update after full sales experience. Great first impression! I stopped by Hendrick BMW today to see their current inventory. Sales Associate - - Seth McNeil - - is AWESOME! I came in without an appointment and was just browsing the lot, I'm in the market but am not purchasing for a few more months. I informed him that I was browsing, but would be buying soon...it didn't even phase his professional attitude. From the start I could see that Seth was here to help, regardless if I purchased a vehicle today. He was happy to walk the lot with me or let me walk alone if I preferred. I ended up deciding to test drive a car. The whole experience was very pleasant and professional. Seth was happy to show me all the vehicles features or sit back and let me play around. I never once felt rushed or overwhelmed by him. It was very much the opposite. After my test drive we exchanged business cards and he took down notes to make sure he would remember what features would be most important to me...and that was it! He never once tried to make me go inside and talk "numbers" or fill out anything. Overall, I left knowing that he would be in touch to make sure that when the time was right he would have a vehicle for me. I will be back! read more
