Unable to leave less stars I am writing to formally express my concern regarding an unresolved warranty issue for my Audi Q7, which I purchased along with a warranty through Hendrick Lexus. Over the past two weeks, I have been attempting to resolve a matter related to warranty coverage through the Audi service department. Unfortunately, I have experienced significant delays, lack of communication, and difficulty obtaining clear information regarding whether the warranty will be honored. I have been waiting for a return call from David McCall or Anthony regarding this matter, but as of today I have not received any follow-up. When I have been able to speak with Anthony, he has appeared uninterested and preoccupied, and my concerns have not been addressed in a meaningful way. In addition, I have attempted to escalate this matter to the General Manager but have been unable to reach him or receive assistance at that level. Given the amount of money I spent on this vehicle and warranty, I expect the coverage that was sold to me to be honored and for communication to be handled professionally. At this point, the lack of responsiveness and customer service is extremely concerning. If this issue cannot be resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to pursue legal counsel to review the warranty agreement and determine the appropriate next steps. I would appreciate a prompt response from management to resolve this matter and clarify the status of my warranty coverage. read more

Dropped my 2019 Audi A8L Quattro off for a recent recall in regard to the backup camera being faulty to pick it up with a sensor light being on that was NOT on prior. To Audi of Charleston telling me it's due to the heightened sensitivity with "new camera" replacing and a paint job THAT I NEVER HAD DONE since owning this car for over 3 years. Recently had my yearly service in Oct/Nov 2025 and there being no issue. Had a factory reset prior to service due to my car glitching and malfunctioning along with paying $600 for a new battery AFTER the factory reset and for my car to still glitch. Reached out to Audi corporate after hearing Audi Charleston tell me the sensor job would be $7500 and they are no better. Customer service is not their strong suit and they refused to help cover the expense. I then received a call yesterday that the warranty department states they would cover half. I'm not willing to cover anything because that would mean I'm accepting responsibility or acknowledgement on something I didn't have knowledge of or was there prior to dropping my car off. My experiences is never good when dealing with Audi and I hate that because this car was a dream car of mines my husband got me. Upon waiting to hear back from corporate I've had to deal with nonchalant calls from one of the workers asking when am I picking up my car as if they don't know what's going on already. As if he's not aware that I told them I'm reaching out and waiting on a response for Audi corporate. I will be getting rid of this car to avoid further dealings with Audi!! And no Audi of Charleston will not get my business! read more

I hate that I even have to leave a star. My experience at this dealership as a young woman was deeply upsetting and unacceptable. I visited with my husband and child, and when my husband stepped away to take a phone call, I was left alone with the salesman. As soon as that happened, his demeanor changed -- he began speaking down to me, using profanity in front of my child, and treating me with clear disrespect. To make matters worse, he raised the final bill without discussing it with us, even after we had agreed on a set price. He also insinuated that I couldn't afford the vehicle -- an Audi that, ironically, was the most affordable option I was considering and one that I had long dreamed of owning. I left the dealership in tears, feeling completely disrespected and humiliated. I grew up in the area, both of my children were born at East Cooper Hospital, but we moved to Richmond, Virginia, in 2006. My family still lives here, so I make several trips to Charleston each year. i have two Audis and was driving my 2013 Q7 and got a TPMS and stabilization error. I thought maybe my tires needed air, so stopped and checked them all, adding air, but the error messages continued. i decided to have the car looked at to see what the issue was and found Audi Charleston. Since I was only visiting for a week, I wasn't sure I would be able to get the car repaired in time, but after looking at their website and seeing that I could make an appointment online for the next morning, I had hope that it would be repaired in time for my trip home. I love that I can make an appointment online...it was so easy. I showed up to drop my car off and was greeted by two super professional, friendly women who run their front office. To be honest, these ladies make the whole experience awesome! I hope they are paid generously because they are the ambassadors for this Audi dealership. They called me to let me know what the issue was and then called a few hours later to let me know my car was ready. When I arrived, they were super friendly and efficient, and even gave me a voucher to get my car washed. I most definitely will return to have my car serviced if I run into trouble on my next trip. My brand new Audi 2020 Q5 I leased for my mother left us stranded with only 2,000 miles and was totaled by Audi because the engine needed to be replaced. It's been 65+ days with no resolution from Audi of Charleston who keeps making excuses and yet to put her in a loaner which they have control over. Audi is still charging me lease payments , the dealership never gave us a loaner, and the manager still has not provided an update. I have owned all of the luxury brands and never experienced such poor service from a dealership. Warning. This dealership will use high pressure sales to get you out of your old car and into a new one. I was encouraged to bring my current Audi, without worrying about an inspection because the car was in perfect condition, to pull ahead for a new car. However a small chip in the windshield was not mentioned. The dealership said everything was fine, just bring the keys and "walk away", my new car was ready. They totally misrepresented the fact that the windshield should have been repaired or replaced. My insurance would have covered 100% of that. Instead McDaniel wanted to sell me a new car so they not only misrepresented that fact, upon notification from Audi Financial of the issue, they just passed it along to me....5 months later and $448 cost to me. Horrible customer service by the sales manager Scott Firth. He spoke to me like I was at fault, disrespectful and refused to even try to help. Audi Financial clearly stared the dealer was at fault and knew better than to take my car without an inspection. They said it was deceptive. Be warned: the dealership just wants to sell cars, they don't care about the customer. If Audi had another dealership nearby, McDaniel wouldn't survive. Needless to say, I will never buy from them again or recommend them. Found my beautiful red 2012 Audi S5 coupe here last Friday and I could not be more excited and pleased every time I start it up and drive! What makes this even better is the service and treatment I get from people like Mr Scott the GM. I bought the car after the service interval had exceeded its mileage. Well, I missed this detail at the time of purchase and was concerned I would have to pay for a service after only having it less then a week. Once I realized this I came back to the dealer and no questions asked, Mr Scott took care of me. They will try to make things right. Worst car dealership I've ever encountered. Ordered in February and promised delivery May 26. NO COMMUNICATION from dealership and when we arrived on April 26 were then told factory was closed and we might get the vehicle in August or September. I dropped it off with Audi of Charleston and my service advisor there was fantastic...even getting me into a loaner car a day before my scheduled service. A few months earlier, I had told a sale rep that I wanted an RS5 and to call me when one was in inventory. While waiting for my S5 to be serviced, I saw a new red RS5 on the showroom floor. I've attempted to take my car twice to this Audi dealership and was highly disappointed both times. I've had two minor issues with my vehicle, both which should be covered by the warranty, but was not. The lack of customer service in a 'luxurious' dealership is frustrating. Have you ever walked into a business and had several employees look you straight in the eyes and not say a word? How awkward. Fairly certain a "Hi, how's it going? How may I help you?" is required. But maybe that's just me. I phoned the dealership prior to making the 30 minute drive and was told this last issue (motor on my back window broke causing the window to be off track) was covered by the warranty, only to arrive and be told otherwise. I provided my year, model, mileage and vin number when phoning to check on the warranty. Upon arriving and being told no, it's not covered, I was offered to pay $90 just to "diagnose" it. I requested they check the call log and see who I spoke with prior to arriving and discuss why I was told it was covered when apparently it wasn't. They just looked at me, blank stared, and shrugged their shoulders. This is the second time this has happened; being told one thing and then another. This is my second Audi I've owned in the past 7 years. I've felt a part of the elite at other dealerships; there's a certain value that's added when you own one. But this, is beyond frustrating. The manufacturer should at least offer a free diagnostic exam; especially after my being misinformed. Are these a couple minor issues with an unfortunate outcome for me? Yes, it is. But could the employees have done a better job about handling their incompetencies? Yes, yes they could have. In Charleston, I suggest purchasing from a different luxurious car dealership. Audi isn't worth it. And you have no idea how much it hurts my Audi-loving-heart to say that. read more

I am disgusted by the service department at the McDaniels Audi Dealership Service Department, Charleston, SC. I had yet to visit this dealership as we had just moved from North Carolina and had no need for service until this point. Needless to say, after this experience I will not be back, and quite frankly I don't think they care. My Audi is a 2008 and the work performed was not what was wrong with my car. They "visually" saw oil leaking from the pump and said that I needed a new pump. The diagnostic fee $89.50 apparently was just a "visual" fee? I agreed to the new pump and also asked them to replace my convertible top motor and stowage box ($1,115.16 parts $425.00 labor) since the repair wasn't as much as I had thought it would be. I paid for labor and parts for the new pump ($429.33 parts $170.00 (labor) and still had oil leaking. Took car back and they said "It's your main seal, $1900" My argument is why didn't they catch this to begin with? I paid a diagnostic fee for them to find out what was wrong with the car the first time, why was the main seal not caught then? We spoke with service dept. mgr and he did not see my point nor offer any type of compensation for this mistake. I was also told that a "MASTER MECHANIC" would have to be brought in to fix my car because Audi doesn't support older model vehicles as well as their newer technicians. WHAT? It will be repaired by an import specialist here in Charleston and I will NOT be recommending McDaniel's Audi to anyone, nor will I be purchasing an Audi from them when I do purchase a new one. I have emailed Audi Corporate. The car was brought in to be diagnosed and repaired. It was misdiagnosed and therefore, not repaired properly I would not have had convertible top fixed had I known I would be needing my rear valve replaced. I can't believe a company would support these actions and mistakes. No compensation was ever offered from McDaniel's Audi NOR any apology whatsoever. read more

We had an excellent experience at McDaniels Audi. Jim Smith in the Service Department was extremely helpful and professional. We were on a driving trip from South Florida to Charleston last week and started to have a problem with the air conditioning system in the car. Not only did Audi give us an early morning appointment but we were taken right at 9:00 when we checked in. Jim told us he would have an answer for us in less than an hour. Not only did they diagnose the issue quickly, we were out the door problem solved in just 75 minutes. Jim kept us updated throughout the process. Do not shop here! If I could give 0 stars I would. I bought a Q5 brand new in 2014 and have had nothing but issues ever since. I've had Audi service the car at every recommended mileage interval and at 70,000 miles, the car started over consuming oil. After giving me the run around, the service dept informed me that they would be charging me 8,000 to rebuild the engine. I had to speak with managers and threaten a lawsuit before Audi agreed to pay for it. Then, after spending $800 at my 115,000 service, I get home and see that the fog light cover on the front bumper is missing. After trying to call Audi for 2 days, I finally got in touch with someone and she insinuated that I was lying about where this happened. Needless to say, I will never spend a dime here ever again and I cannot stress enough to stay far away from this place. read more

I went to this dealership based off of an online price special they posted on their website; I spent multiple hours there and they would NOT honor the price, listed for the exact model and price they had clearly quoted for the exact model. I was treated EXTREMELY POORLY to boot; I was 'shushed' by the horribly rude Sales Manager on multiple occasions. My sister and I shopped here when I was in need of a new vehicle. My beloved 2001 GMC Yukon, who I lovingly referred to as "Bessie" was on her last leg, and much to my dismay and I was in the unwanted position of needing to buy a new car. Probably more so because I wasn't ready to part with my big sweet Bessie than being unable to find a suitable replacement, nothing was standing out to me among the luxury SUVs. If I had to get rid of Bessie, I may as well find an SUV with better gas mileage, and so I looked at some of the smaller SUVs among the leading brands. I am a young professional and for my first ever new car purchase, I wanted to find a vehicle that was enjoyable to drive with a few bells and whistles. I had nearly decided on the Infiniti JX35, which is the vehicle I am currently driving, but to ensure I'd exhausted all the options, at my sister's prompting I visited the audi dealership. Before even any discussion of my budget, profession, finances, wishlist, or experiences with my recent car shopping, the salesman who finally greeted us after a couple laps around the showroom asked me what I wanted my monthly payment to be, and after I responded with a figure (the exact figure that was quoted to me at the Infiniti dealership for the comparably priced Infiniti SUV), the salesperson immediately responded that I couldn't afford his Audi options. I'm not sure how he determined that I couldn't afford an Audi. I may have been wearing casual gym clothes that day, but regardless of my appearance, isn't it appropriate to treat all customers equally with respect? It really burns me up when people make snap judgments of others unfairly. I know a millionaire who always does his car shopping in overalls, just to see if the dealership will treat him with the respect that a blue collar working man deserves as much as he. I promptly walked out of the Audi dealership after this man's rude judgment of me, and my sister said I appeared to be breathing fire. I will not step foot back here when my Infiniti lease ends, and am anxious to share with my friends and colleagues this negative experience I had when they too are looking to make a car purchase. read more

The salesman told him he couldnt test drive unless he was sure he wanted to buy it and told him how expensive it was. My husband left. When my little sister and I went to find her a car, Michael (I think was his name) who was older British guy said she couldnt afford that. Little did he know that she's a doctor. First, I buy a new car every year and I have NEVER met a nicer sales team. High end car dealers are usually very snobby and unhelpful if they see you aren't going to purchase (or if you pull up in a domestic vehicle). Not the case at this dealership! Derek and Rogers were amazing. No bull, no run around, not rude- just straight to the point and very kind. Professional to the upmost and they helped us more than we could've asked. We didn't even buy today, and I hardly ever leave reviews, but they warrant a good review! If you go there, ask for Derek and he'll lead you on to Rogers for finance. Simply amazing! I wouldn't even give McDaniel Audi a star but you have to in order to leave a review. Bought a brand new Audi Q3 that keeps shutting off automatically. It happened while driving through a 4 way intersection and car completely shut off steering wheel locked brake accelerator locked and I was almost hit by several oncoming cars. Had it towed to Audi and it is confirmed to have a Known issue with start stop and shutting off but they won't have the part to fix the confirmed problem for 2 months. But they want me to continue to drive the car because Audi said it's not a safety issue or a recall. They told me to turn the start stop feature off every time I start the car and I shouldn't have a problem but it wasn't on when I almost got smashed in a 4 way intersection. They won't give me a loaner car and have been nothing but snarky. What if I forget to turn that feature off every time I get in the vehicle or one of my kids drive it and don't turn it off and it happens to them and they get injured! The dealership could have offered a loaner until Some type of resolution with corporate Audi occurs but they didn't and I asked over and over. So I've been without a vehicle for several days and still don't have one. I'm not driving a car that has a known issue but because Audi hasn't made it a recall or said it's a safety issue when it most certainly is a safety issue. The dealership should really put the customer first and their safety!!! read more

I had an appointment with the service center for an oil change and tire rotation and they did an excellent job! I was there for a little under and hour and they even washed my car and cleaned the inside for me. The waiting area is comfortable with wifi, coffee, water, and snacks so the time went by quickly.
