I have to say when a job well done happens, it is so important to share. My grandson was rear-ended by a drunk driver. Elijah was fine but we had some repairs needed to be done. We took our Dodge 1500 Ram to Caliber Collision and met with Brady Huff. Brady, made what could of been a very stressing time into a exceptional experience. He was so understanding and very concerned in making our experience easy. That he did! I never had to call or check up on anything as they kept me posted on everything. The truck was actually done earlier then expected. As for picking up the truck Brady, was there to deliver and once again explained everything that was done to it. I had my car serviced here and encountered several issues, but the most upsetting was that my vehicle was not properly reassembled because the technician left mid-service. I was told this was due to a family emergency, which I completely understand -- things like that can happen. However, while driving home from the collision center with my daughter, my entire vehicle shut down on the highway due to a part that was not properly secured. It was terrifying and could have resulted in something much worse. The vehicle had to be towed to Lexus because this location was unable to complete the repair. They initially agreed to pay Lexus for their work and cover the additional rental car expenses -- and while Lexus was paid, they have refused to pay the remaining balance owed to Enterprise. My insurance company has been in contact with the regional manager, who has been unprofessional and extremely difficult to work with, despite the written agreement that they would cover the excess rental cost. It is deeply disheartening that their negligence placed my child and me in danger and that they are now refusing to take full responsibility for their mistake. Would not recommend. read more

Dealing with car issues is not fun and often stressful. I went into it mentally preparing for the worst. But from start to finish, this Caliber Collision location made it seamless. Rachael was so helpful and kind setting up the appointment, and Michelle was amazing throughout the entire process. I got a text just about every day with the status (and could check online what the progress was / what the cost was). My car was done super quickly (even a day early than estimated), and when I picked it up it had been cleaned inside and out. The whole experience was awesome, and I highly recommend going here. (Oh! Horrible place of business; they will only add more damage due to negligence on their part. Ended up with two skid plate screws in two tires and they won't pay for the two new tires needing to be replaced. No accountability and they lie to save their own backs . Regional manager, John Peterson, is a real POS who lacks any respect and will hang up on you after barking back at his rude and uncontrolled responses and demeanor. Go anywhere but Caliber. The whole situation was trash and would hate for anyone else to have to experience what we went through. read more

I've had work done at this location a couple of times. Each interaction is always so wonderful. From calling to set up an appointment, the text messages each day to update the process of the repairs and the exit interview once the work is completed- all very easy. The staff is always polite and helpful in answering any questions you may have. The work is always perfect. My car has been repaired beautifully. They warranty all their work should there be any issues later on. (I've never had one) This location is very convenient. They have a nice waiting area with fresh popcorn and coffee available. read more

I have been in the Charleston area for almost two years. Unfortunately, this is the second time I needed body work done to my truck. I first used Fender Mender (FM) but decided to give Caliber Collision (CC) my business this time around. I was very pleased with the quick drop off system CC had compared to FM. Matt was my agent and he spoke to me in a professional way and explained everything to me. I wasn't spoken down to nor kept in the dark like FM made me feel. CC has a text update system that Matt used to keep me updated. When they ordered my parts, when the conducted the work, and when they figured my truck would be ready. FM never gave me that courtesy. When I arrived for pickup, the front desk process was quick. I received my paperwork and made my payment. No wait or hassle. FM made me wait almost 45 minutes to get my truck. Matt showed me exactly what was done, even tho I had the paper explaining the details, patiently and wanted to assure I was satisfied with their work. FM walked me to my truck and was in a hurry to go back inside. My truck looked like it did when I drove it off the lot. I was very impressed with their work. The repairs and painting was done perfectly with no signs of repair. FM work was not perfect. You could see where they tried to smooth their work but left ripples. I'm very impressed with CC and will use them again in the future if I'm in need. Matt was very professional, completed my repairs to my satisfaction, and went above and beyond. She kept me updated throughout the whole process with timely and quality information. This is a huge deal for me because I have had bad experience in the past; i would constantly have to call for updates. Not this time, I was pleasantly surprised how easy the process was. Not even worth 1 star. Had some minor cosmetic damage to front bumper and hood. Did not list everything from inspection on initial estimate. Did not inspect car after they supposedly worked on it. Painted over broken bumper is pretty much all they did the first time around. Was told that they'd rectify their mistakes the following week. 7 weeks later and they have yet to touch my car. This place can't fix a bumper in 2 months and have no communication whatsoever. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Absolutely pathetic shop. if you actually want your car to be fixed, simply DO NOT come to this shop. read more

The initial part of the process (drop-off, review of damages, estimates) were quick and easy. However, everything else has been very frustrating. Service was estimated to take 2.5-3 weeks to complete, we are at 5.5 weeks and the repair is still not complete, and they are unable to tell me when the work will be finished. Crap communication along with having my car held hostage for a month in a half has been an awful experience. I wish I could comment on the quality of their service, but since I don't have my car back yet, I can't. Do not recommend. read more

Someone hit my car in December- she was a Geico customer. Geico recommended an express repair at Caliber/ N. Charleston. Geico wanted to put some crap (CAPA) aftermaket parts on my Honda. (Google CAPA and Geico= many problems). While sorting out the details with Geico, Trey, my service adviser, got annoyed at the delay and told me they were a "production shop" and told me to come pick up my car which they hastily put back together. Very rude. I have loose body panels and a rear window that does not work from improper reassembly. The interior was dusty like someone who sands cars was told to move my car to the front lot. The car was also returned with all the paint pen markings from the Geico adjuster. I read other reviews on Yelp about Caliber before I took my car to them. Everyone spoke of the great communication- it is all computer generated! I was receiving emails telling me how well the repair progress was going nine days after I had picked up my car. AVOID! AVOID! This is the second time we have used Caliber Collision. First time in Columbia by Hardscrabble and this time in the Mount pleasant location. Service is top notch and very pleasant. They gave us an estimated completion date and updated us at each stage of the progress. I was involved in a collision on 1/28/21, my insurance company scheduled an inspection on 2/12/2021, Caliber provided a quote and was paid $1171.09 on 2/22/2021. I was never contacted by Caliber to service my vehicle. Contacted my adjuster to inquire about the status since I hadn't heard from Caliber. He reached out to Caliber and stated that someone would be contacting me. NO ONE EVER DID. After advising my insurance provider ONCE AGAIN, Caliber was conferenced in, scheduled a time for me to drop off my vehicle the following week being now MAY 2021. I was told that it would take approximately 3 days for completion. I paid out of pocket for a rental in the interim. I contacted them after 5 days of not hearing from anyone only to be told that the person assigned to my vehicle was out of the office at the time and had been out a few days during the week. The representative stated that she was not aware that I was paying out of pocket for the rental as if this made a difference. I have made a complaint with my insurance company to handle this further. I am very sure that my vehicle hasn't been touched. Besides, it was only a bumper job! read more

Great job overall!!! From the moment I walked in and was greeted by Stacie, the office manager till the time I picked up the car which was repaired earlier than the estimated date. Everyone there was helpful and attentive. They even let me leave my rental vehicle with them because they were not open yet. The repairs they made were well done and unnoticeable, which is exactly what you want and can be difficult to do in a 13 year old car. Let's just say this location (Fain Road, N. Charleston) EXCEEDED my expectations! Due to my brand new vehicle only being 4 months to me was side swiped I was not pleased none the least of having to have it repaired and very nervous about the process. However, from the very 1st call the Front Desk Coordinator was very caring, helpful, assuring and inviting. From there still being skeptical I was like let's see what happens next. The operations office was clean and professional looking as well as they had some fresh popcorn while I waited LOL. Then I met Matt super super awesome technician! He was also very caring, approachable, informative, assuring of the process and outcome, and professional. He is a very relatable and personal guy. The communications via text, email, phone calls on the status of the vehicle along the way is awesome. It takes away the nervousness of you having to call someone, getting a recording or worse not even getting a call back in a timely fashion. With all this said, this is an AWESOME TEAM and the process doesn't have to be stressful. My car was repaired before the estimated time, services and communications were on point and my Chrysler 300 is still an absolute beauty! When in need this location is where you should go. I left a mean review yesterday because I was misinformed by my Geico adjuster about how this process works. Within 10 minutes of me leaving my review, the manager called me and I wasn't able to answer the call. He called me back today to find out why I was dissatisfied. He allowed me to vent and voice my frustrations, explained the entire process to me in depth, and made sure that the right person contacted me about my vehicle the same day. That phone call changed my entire opinion on this company and let me know they really do care about their customers and if there is a breakdown in communication or any issues, they will make sure it 100% gets resolved without any delay! I don't remember the manger's name who called me but thank you so much. You truly made me feel like a valued customer and I would definitely recommend you guys! Caution with this company. I made an appointment last week, received an estimate (front bumper repair on a Jeep Wrangler) and made an appointment to drop off my unit for repair the following week. When I went back today to drop off unit the manager said the person who wrote the estimate was not qualified and did not want to perform the work as quoted suggesting that a larger repair on the frame was warranted (probably wanted more money via insurance claim). This is unprofessional, inappropriate way to conduct business and foster a loyal customer base. SHADY BUISNESS PRACTICE. Everything written is 100% and can not be disputed by Caliber Collision. I will be filing a consumer complaint to the local and state commission that governs this business for the area. read more
