I just picked up my car at Caliber Collision this afternoon. I had an insurance claim to repair my 2015 Camry's front bumper. I had them remove, repair and repaint my rear bumper at the same visit. First off the woman who helped me at the check in at their Goose Creek location is so kind it was a very easy process. I had come by on a Friday to get an insurance estimate and dropped the car off on Monday morning. They had my car transported to their Mount Pleasant location to speed up repair time. Wow, wow and wow! Super nice, super fast, easy to drop off my Enterprise rental car at location and super easy insurance process. No one likes getting in a wreck, even a minor one, but l will give these guys a call if l need auto body repair again. 5 Stars, two thumbs up! Thanks for your great work! Absolutely terrible experience. First they don't get back to me after an estimate. I call back over a week later to ask what's going on and they say "ready, bring it on in". I get Enterprise to agree to bring a car there for me and as I bring it, they say they don't have me on the books. Worst experience ever. Not sure why this place is so highly rated. This business has not met any deadlines, responded to any phone calls and continues to promise work is going to be "guaranteed" and have failed to do so. It's unfortunate because with the holidays nearing, our vehicle has not been completed and now they have not returned any calls. I have used Caliber collision before and always thought they were great, but, when I called them for an estimate and repair of my car I was told they are no longer accepting any vehicles for repair because they are so backed up. I was also told that my insurance company had turned them off because of they are so backlogged . We took our Edge in to have about a three to four inch hood dent / scratch fixed. We were greeted and were on our way in about 20 minutes with printed estimate in hand. The estimate was literally about $20 different than the dealership's but the selling point to us was the warranty - fully covered as long as we own the vehicle. Having just bought it six months earlier, I was concerned that the paint wouldn't match or they wouldn't do as good a job as the dealership. Upon picking it up and inspecting, I couldn't tell there had been any damage whatsoever. Now, here it is less than a month later and we're about to turn it again for much more damage, thanks to the deer that ran into us. My confidence is high on the outcome but I'll make sure to submit comments on this much bigger job. Lastly, I really appreciated that they washed and cleaned inside and out. My car was transferred here from North Charleston to expedite the repair process. Everyone at caliber was extremely friendly and professional. I received biweekly updates on the status of my car which was nice since it took longer than I had anticipated. I worked with Hal and he was amazing! I went to pick it up early and upon inspection we realized a spot hadn't been buffed out (they didn't know it had been a part of the accident). Went to get an estimate on a dent in my vw jetta. Wouldn't even walk outside. Said I needed an appt. Piss poor first impression. Top that off, they said they have a paintless dent co that handled repairs of that nature. Then, they couldn't even contact them. She said, and I Quote " They must have moved". A week ago I stopped in to ask about getting a damage estimate. I arrived at approximately 10am which was the appointed time. The receptionist said the appraiser would be there shortly. After 10 minutes an office person went out to find the appraiser. I was informed that the appraiser had to be located on the premises because she did not have a radio. Then the office person came to me & said they were short handed and asked if she could take some pictures of the damage and email me an estimate. I politely told them thanks, but no thanks and left. The people I talked with were polite, but I don't understand why they would make an appointment, not keep it or call me first thing this morning to reschedule before I make the trip there. And then I had to ask myself "If they can do a damage estimate from e-mailed pictures, then why didn't they just have me email them pictures of the damage and not have me bother to come to the facility in the first place?" read more

We had someone back into the rear door on our 2016 Civic in October and we took it to Caliber Collision based on the excellent reviews I saw on here,well I'm here to say they were right on the money,we took the car in there on the 4th of December and we originally told it would be done on the 7th,to our pleasant surprise we were called the same day informing us it could be picked up at 5:00,when we arrived we were told that the technician pushed it through in order to get it back to us the same day,from the ladies in the office to the body technician who fixed our car it was service above and beyond the call and we are beyond pleased at their customer service,will definitely use Caliber again should the need arise,again thank you very much read more

This place was recommended to us by USAA as a preferred shop. We went there with the expectation that they would do a great job. All we needed was the front bumper replaced as well as the fog lights, easy right? NOT FOR THIS SHOP! The first day the staff was very friendly and told us that our car was in good hands and that they would text us daily updates. We gave them our phone numbers and waited patiently. And then we waited some more. Finally, I called their 800 number and told them the issues I was having and the lady on the phone assured me that they would contact me the next day. NOTHING. A week and some change after we dropped the car off, we finally went there and asked if the car was done, it was just getting painted. Then, two days later we got the call to come and pick up the car. We were so excited! We get there, and the first thing they want us to do is sign the paperwork and pay our deductible, well that's weird cause you should always inspect the vehicle prior to paying or anything of the sort The guy we were working with Mike, said they were finishing up and that he would go and get it when they were done. After we paid and everything, Mike went to go and bring the car around. I watched him pull up, he comes inside and hands me the keys and says have a nice day. My wife looked at him and asked him to at least show us the car and the damages that his shop repaired. He looked baffled. So we went outside and looked at the repair work, and the first thing that I noticed is that the fog lights weren't replaced. Then, the paint didn't even come close to matching the vehicle. I have a Satin White WRX hatch, they painted the bumper Aspen White, which is a much brighter white than my vehicle. Completely noticeable. He tried telling me that they did the best that they could to match but obviously didn't do such a good job. I told him that I wasn't happy with their work and asked him to fix it again and order my fog lights as well. About a week later, he emails me and tells me that my fog lights have come in and they're ready for the car again. This is on a Wednesday and he said it'll be done by Friday. We go there on Friday and the fog lights have been replaced and the paint looked the same. It literally looks like they put another coat of paint on top of the other paint, but this time it's all wavy and had scrapes all the way to the plastic. After further inspection I noticed that the bumper garnishes weren't on securely and that there was tape lines all over the place. I didn't accept the cars condition and told them that I wanted to leave the car there until it was completed to an acceptable condition. He assured me that it would be done by Monday and that he stands by his word and his guys work. I called USAA and updated them for a second time on the situation and they said they would call the shop while I was on hold and talk with them. We went there today to pick up the car, and it hadn't been touched all weekend. Mike's excuse is that he came in late sick, well that doesn't explain why he gave himself a deadline of today and the car had all weekend to be worked on. Mike is horrible at his job. Know's absolutely nothing about getting a job done correctly. I mean, the paint code for a vehicle can be found by it's VIN number. The mixture is laid out for you so that you don't mess it up. Seriously Mike? Your word blows and so does your lazy painter. A word of advice, take your car elsewhere. Mike's word and their work there means jack. They suck. read more
