Amazing service and quick repair! I've used Caliber Collisions twice now for estimates and repairs and they provided reasonable pricing and great service each time. Their receptionist and repair workers are super friendly and helpful and they work quick. My vehicle was ready for pickup only a week after dropping it off. Quite possibly the worst customer service in South Carolina. AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM! Everyone I dealt with there was incredibly rude from the very first contact we had with them. I'm literally so shocked at our experience that I'm wondering if something more deeply wrong isn't going on at this location. It was like they were trying to drive me away from the very first interaction We initially came in to get an estimate and were told that we'd have to pay for the repair even though it was being handled through insurance. When I acted surprised, Amanda the service manager, said they could work with the insurance company, so when I called back to make an appointment, the man I talked to said he'd "never dealt with" a very common insurance company and when I said that's not what Amanda said, he checked with her and then assured me that they could handle the repair. I offered to provide the claim number and he said that was not necessary and they would handle it (though he was clearly not happy about it and I don't know why). So after making the appointment, I received notifications for my appointment day and picked up my rental car. On the night before my appointment, I went in to drop off my car and was told that "they still haven't received anything yet." I asked what could be done and was told that "Amanda already told me everything you needed to do," by the extremely rude, young lady that was at the front desk. When I told her that I hadn't talked to Amanda for the appointment and had made the appointment with a man she became very dismissive and basically called me a liar (not sure how she would even know this because I have never seen or talked to this young lady in my life). I then proceeded to say, "we're not taking our car here" and she shouted "Thank GOD!" As I walked out, she then proceeded to open the door and shout at us while we were in the parking lot, claiming I was pointing a finger at her, which I never did, and I was simply explaining that nobody had ever given me a heads up or indicated that I needed to do anything and that in fact, I was reassured that everything could be taken care of. Once my insurance adjuster at Safeco assigned my claim to Caliber Collision, I called for an appointment to have the job evaluated and was given a date and time four weeks later. Crazy, huh? The repair was simple, just under $700.00, but my drop off date was yet another 4 weeks. It's a good thing, the damage was barely noticeable. Caliber Collision - Entertain the kiddos! - Body Shops Near Me - Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

The worst company I have ever had the displeasure of working with, and I do not say that lightly. Please do yourself a favor, and look for a different shop. The work on my car was done horribly, dishonestly and they would not make things right. Immediately after getting my front bumper fixed by them, I pulled into a parking spot with a concrete wheel stop. There was no indication or noise/scraping that led to me believe that I pulled too far over the barrier. I backed out of the spot and it latched and ripped my entire bumper off. The concrete barrier was not abnormally high and every other car in the lot was parked the same way. I have had this car since 2019 and have pulled into a million parking spots with the same type of wheel stop and that has never happened until DIRECTLY after getting it replaced by them. Caliber claimed it wasn't their fault and claimed that my bumper just hangs low regularly. Once fixed by another shop, this has not happened again. I attempted to get help from the general manager right as the problems started but was blown off. They also did the work on my drivers side door incorrectly and the door made a noise like a gong every time I closed it. I again tried to say something and have it fixed but never received the call to come back in to fix it. I had to take my car elsewhere immediately after and pay hundreds of dollars to rectify the problem. This shop (Joe Hudson collision) handled the fix wonderfully and with ease and professionalism. Caliber charged me for parts that were never put into my car. When I tried to complain over the phone with unfortunately the same general manager, I was again blown off and told that the person who helped me "no longer worked there for good reason" and she blew off every issue I had. I was told a regional manager would reach out to me the same day I had the conversation with her, and I never received that call. No accountability at all. The general manager is unprofessional, rude and dishonest. There are so many ridiculous things that happened during my time dealing with them. I could go on and on in this review but I will leave it at that. Please save yourself the headache. read more

I needed a front bumper repair thanks to an incident that occurred in a valet parking lot. Other places were quoting me a lengthy turnaround time, so I found Calibur and figured I'd see what they had to say. The were able to get my car in the same day I contacted them and quoted me less than a week. They were great to work with and dealt directly with the insurance company. I ended up getting my car back that same week - even earlier than they originally told me. Hopefully I won't need more work like this any time soon, but if I do I will definitely be going back to Calibur. read more

After having had sloppy and careless repairs done by the Caliber express shop in North Charleston, and already being very upset and disappointed in the work done - needless to say I was hesitant to go to another Caliber (Mt Pleasant location) to correct what the other shop had missed/made mistakes on. I was hoping at least a new location would be a different and better experience. SO WRONG - it ended up being much worse! After the previous manager of the Mt P. location apparently up and quit (not a good sign) I was dealing with a temporary fill-in manager from the Columbia location (John Peterson - who was actually wonderful to deal with and really the main reason for giving any stars at all), however he was not able to be present for the week of my actual repair. When I showed him my concerns, the write up was to just be an overnight repair (so at tops, 2 full days). I dropped my car off first thing last Tuesday morning and was told that my service advisor would call me to give me updates. The repair was expected to be finished end of day Wednesday as per the estimate. All day Tuesday and Wednesday go by without any communication from my "service advisor" so I decided to call to speak with him and find out if we were still on track. The front desk told me he was unavailable and she would let him know and I would get a call back. No call back Wednesday or all day Thursday. Friday morning rolls around (now 3 full days, going on 4 that my car has been there for minor repairs) and I get a call from the service advisor that my car was ready. When I asked why I never got a call the entire week from him on the progress, he asked why I would have needed a call for "a straightforward day and a half repair." 1. I was appalled that I was responded to in that way and 2. the car has now been there for almost 4 days so that response didn't even make logical sense, not to mention how rude it was to be speaking to a customer that way. I then also mentioned that I tried to reach out to him 2 days prior and never got a call back. His response was that the front desk never gave him the message.... and "what should I do about it now?" WOW. Now that I had no notice of when my car was expected to be ready, I said that the ride that I was going to have to bring me back to my car couldn't get me there until 6:00 (30 minutes after they close). He then suggested that he could put my keys in my glovebox for me to come get my car. Are you joking me? To suggest leaving my keys in an unlocked car in an empty parking lot off of a busy road?!?? I ended up figuring out a way to get there during the day because at this point I am beyond fed up. The icing on the cake of this whole situation is that the car still has half of the mistakes (scratches and scuffs) of what it went in there for in the first place!!! I went over all of this with a new service advisor (Paula) who was friendly and was going to relay all of this absolutely ridiculous situation to the new regional manager who was supposed to give me a call on Friday. Both John Peterson and the new service advisor who got involved (Paula) both discussed the entire situation with him as well as wrote him an email giving him all of my contact info and telling him to give me a call, as this is clearly an unacceptable situation at this point. Again, this was on Friday - it is now Tuesday and I have still NOT gotten any call from the new regional manager to reach out and even attempt to salvage any of this. I even wrote an email to him this morning and still nothing. I finally reached out to him and asked why I never heard from him, he told me that he forgot about it and then when he eventually did call - he never left a voicemail identifying who he was. Again, this is supposed to be a regional manager and someone who should be providing the utmost customer service. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER use Caliber again and I will continue to escalate this as high as it needs to go because clearly this whole franchise (with the exception of John Peterson and Paula) needs some serious work.. read more
