I called to make an appointment for replacing my brake light (it was very difficult to remove the panel to get to the brake light) and they told me to just stop by. Customer service is a HUGE deal in our house and Josh (and Luz) were extremely welcoming and helpful for us during this whole experience of getting a quote. Josh even took our car and buffed out the scratches free of charge in 10 minutes so it looked almost brand new. I was a last minute walk in. My Saab bumper cover clips deteriorated and broke over time (it's a 2007 9-5!) The bumper cover on both sides flared out with nothing holding them in. I took a chance and spoke to manager Josh. He said "Bring it in and I'll take a look." I left the car with him for about an hour. He then called and said: "We're all set." Somehow he had screwed in both sides despite the missing bumber cover tabs and said: "This should hold fine. No charge." I was so pleased and grateful that he eliminated what had become a real source of anxiety for me i.e., "Is the bumper cover going to fall off?" A good guy: knowledgeable, polite, helpful. When you get in an accident, you usually have to deal with endless mode. But seriously, I'm really impressed at the operation here, and after getting my baby slammed by another vehicle, they took care of it in the most comforting way possible. The reference for this review is: The upper film of overnight hotdog water. In recent times, I have unfortunately got into an accident due to the rains and hydroplaned and hit the side rear of my vehicle. I had the 2021 mustang gt premium fully equipped towed in cause I didn't feel like driving a recently impacted car anywhere and if I hydroplaned once going 60 I'm going to do it again and my side curtain airbags deployed so I couldn't really see out the side unless I strapped them and I just didn't really feel like going through the whole ordeal I have triple. Anyways I drop off my car from the tow company and Erik whom I spoke with over the phone because I was in the Drs office getting a ct scan because I have recently recovered from getting hit by a truck and recovering from a 1 month coma. Aside from that Erik whom I'm speaking with over the phone tells me that he'll get the quote for me tomorrow but if super packed it may take 48 hours. 30 hours are passing by and I get off work and go visit a little before 5pm to see how things are going and maybe I can motivate them with extra cash for repairs, and low and behold my car has not been touched and was dropped in the corner of the lot occurring storage fees which was not relayed to me that if I leave the vehicle there overnight I would accrue 200$ in charges. I am totally fine with if that's normal practice but for some odd reasons Luz didn't want to write any of the reasons on paper but would like to just discuss the reasons instead. In conclusion, if you want quality work go to a quality place and that was my first mistake I take accountability for. As soon as I seen the whole lot of cars just sitting there with insurance policy's on the front of cars collecting dust and when I was speaking with the "manager luz" I seen about 8 techs and 6 office workers all hanging around watching. When I left all the techs were giving me thumbs up telling me to rev it on my way out. Also I might add manager Luz wanted me to sign a paper stating that I'm signing because I'm acknowledging that my car is deemed a total loss and I was not going to sign that as I drove off and revved my 2021 mustang gt premium fully loaded with custom parts on it out the lot and totally safe and deemed ok to drive by a police officer I spotted on the way to the next shop which I fell in love with. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews for businesses but I feel the need to warn my community about this Caliber Collision location. My Audi Q5 was damaged in an accident and I chose this location to repair my car, as it seemed like a reliable choice. They did repair my car, however, the door handle completely fell off of my car after having been repaired. I contacted Wade (who initially assisted with the repair) and he let me know they would take care of this warranty issue. It has since been weeks since I have brought my car back in with this warranty issue. I have called two weeks in a row now, multiple times, asking about the status of the repair, both times being told that the repair would be done that same week. Upon calling this business, I have been given conflicting information regarding when I will receive a call back. I was told earlier this morning that Wade would give us a call back after his lunch break today. When I did not receive a call back from Wade, I called back again later in the afternoon and was told by Luz (Luce?) that he was busy and would "call when he can". I have not heard from Wade in weeks and this error on their part is now causing financial strain on my family. It's very unfortunate that their error in repairing my car has caused this horrific delay. I understand that there may be a labor/parts shortage, but I was told that they do indeed have the part and that my repair is "in queue". As a business owner myself, it's extraordinary hard to believe that they wouldn't prioritize correcting a mistake they clearly made and admitted to. If you are looking for a quality repair, especially if you have a luxury vehicle/Audi, do not bring your vehicle here. I highly regret my decision in choosing Caliber Collision and would not recommend them to anyone. We still have no idea when this will be fixed and have received no communication on this. read more

Vehicle was in an accident on the way home from Northern California in Santa Barbara and was taken to Caliber Collision. After the initial estimate we found out the Insurance Company totaled the car. My parents who are in their 80's drove 60 miles to clean out the vehicle. They forgot the garage door opener and once realized, called to advise it was still in the vehicle and asked if it was possible to have it mailed to them. They were told yes, it will be mailed and to look out for it. After multiple phone calls, and multiple weeks of waiting, my husband drove 75 miles to pick it up. Disappointing to say the least. I understand businesses are busy, but either follow up when you agree to do something, or just be up front and say it can't be done. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place! Someone decided to back out into me in the Trader Joe's parking lot & it left a good scrape on my back bumper. Caliber Collision was one of the AAA approved shops and, since my brother had a horrible experience at the other shop down the road, I decided to give Caliber a try. I am SO glad that I went with Caliber! The entire staff is friendly and professional, kept me updated on the finish date & progress through text messages, and it looks like I never got hit! They also have a nice waiting area with coffee and popcorn if you like. I also thought the estimate was fair and they handled everything through my insurance company since they deemed it the other person's fault. When Caliber first opened, I was concerned they looked like a production shop but the people are friendly and all the small mistakes were made good by the manager himself got it straightened out subsequently I took two or three other jobs there the quality seemed to be slipping down. The managers kept getting changed, and twice I took jobs back there with their guarantee, and their answer was oh there must be some mistake that guy doesn't work here anymore. Last week I went in there to get an estimate on a small job on my expensive car. It was only one woman in the office she seem preoccupied, and when I ask about making good on their warranty, she was completely unhelpful.she became rude. I think they live a quick insurance jobs and could not recommend the shop anymore. I guess it's probably worth the drive to Goleta to get a good job anymore. read more

Leo dealt with the insurance company so that all I had to do was bring the car In, pay the deductible and pick it up. He was incredibly professional and kind to work with. I had my new 2011 Honda coupe worked on initially at Caliber in Hesperia, CA. It was a $6k paint job. After moving to the central coast in 2013 the clear on the front of the car started flaking off. Took it to Caliber in Santa Barbara and they re-shot the entire front. The work was fair. They clear on the right front fender has a a few defects. The clear on the right door is now starting to flake. It is a lifetime guarantee but who wants to keep going back to have defective work fixed. Would not recommend this body shop business. read more

I have had good work done by Caliber in the past and that is why I took my car to them when it was hit by another (at fault) driver a few weeks ago. His insurance also contract with Caliber and they assured me all would be quick and smooth. Their communication with me and the insurance company was extremely slow and took several calls over three weeks to chase them up. Finally the car was written off by the other driver's insurance and I was told to come down and collect any final things from the car that I might want. When I went to fetch the car I noticed my CC parking sticker was missing, obviously removed in their secured lot. I asked about it and got a very shifty non-answer from the employee. I then followed up twice and was told to leave messages for the general manager who never called me back. They also failed to release the car to salvage which resulted in further delay for my payment from the insurance company. In the past they'd been great, but this was a very substandard experience and I will not use them for any future repairs. read more
