At no fault of their own, Caliber Collision held on to my car through a winter storm. One of the worst snow storms we've seen in San Antonio in a few years. I normally would be so worried that my car was being left in the snow or damaged from the weather. However, Caliber Collision updated me via text every few days to let me know what was going on with my car. They built a trusting relationship with me as a customer and I am so thankful. We drive a Nissan Rogue and its been our reliable family car for 6 years now. When picking up my car the woman at the front desk was so friendly. like seriously, i wanted to be her friend. Maybe it was just great customer service, but she complimented my nails and outfit and smiled the whole time she was with me. It made my day. If other caliber collisions refer this place if you have hail damage just find someone else if you value your time. Felt like they were never checking on it. It went from being ready for pick up 6/30 to having multiple things not shipped, need to be "calibrated". I didn't end up getting the car back until today July 29th. Backstory I had my brand new car for less than 2 weeks before hail damaged my car. The work the done was mediocre at best. They had to re do the clear coat again after I decided to come inspect as you see in the text. But after pick up I see my whole interior is dusty, my brake hold has a stain on the gloss black button that will not come off, has paint or something inside the speaker housing, wood trim panel coming off, and the roof is still dirty although they said it went thru the wash. This was a brand new car and now I probably have to spend more money to get the interior detailed after this repair. I will edit this post if I find more things wrong. My truck had hail damage and usaa has this repair shop as recommended. But this company has really disappointed me with putting on my truck used beat up parts. And items like rear bumper with a used damaged bumper that did not belong on my 2020 silverado. read more

Update: brought my car to Wal-Mart for an oil change. Even this tech says that he could visibly hear that there is an exhaust leak.

If I could give a zero, I would. I have never dealt with a worse company in my life. My truck was broken into and the steering column and ignition switch had to be replaced. I went to Caliber Collision on San Pedro because they are a USAA preferred vendor. Seven weeks later, excuse after excuse, the truck is still not repaired. The excuses became so bizarre I had to get USAA involved. They never call you back and when you talk to someone, it is just garbage they try to tell you. I talked to our mechanic and he said this type of repair should take less than a week. Instead of excuse after excuse, I wish they would be honest with me. After all this, I find out they sub out the work and are dealing with several different companies. I wish I had made a better decision when it came to where to take my truck to get repaired. read more

Decided to use Caliber on san pedro for a claim on my Denali. I have to say given the times were facing with covid I had a great experience with them and the staff. Ms. A. Casias met me on my schedule appointment and took care of me from start to finish. My repair took about a week to complete and my truck looks brand new. Have been to this location several times since it is close and this is who Geico has on their list to take to. Every single time something went wrong with my service or repair. Took my truck in and had problems. Then took the car and they left white dust prints inside of the car, not sure if that was from them sanding paint on the car. The side panel also had bumps and the paint did not look right. They took it back to try and fix again. When they called that it was ready, there was still stuff wrong. They just don't pay attention to detail. Another time the trunk of my car was not aligned on the top and sunken in. They told me it was supposed to be like that. Uhhhhh No, this was a new car and I know the trunks don't sink in. Went to the dealership, took pictures and went back to Caliber to show them. I was right, the trunk was not aligned right. They took it back and finally fixed correctly. Repairs are NEVER done right the first time. read more

I'm not a fan of San Antonio highways and the drivers that fill them...especially the idiotic hit and run drunk driver who rear ended me on the highway one night on my way home from the movies. Decided to take the hit and file a claim to repair the damage to my bumper. I have USAA and after looking at the list of their repair centers I decided on Caliber because they seemed like a professional company and had a location not to far from me. The staff (Lisa/Linda? and Chin) was very courteous when checking me in and very meticulous when inspecting the damage to my car and even pointed out other minor dings I wasn't aware of. Since the damage to my vehicle was only 'cosmetic' the repair process only took a couple days. So I dropped the car off on Monday morning and by Tuesday afternoon the manager called to let me know it was ready. When I picked my car up I was impressed by not only the level of work they did to buff and repaint the bumper, but they also took the time to wash and detail (vacuum, wipe down) the inside of my car. It looked about as brand new as it did when I bought it 9 months prior! Also I should point out that an Enterprise car rental is right next door, which was VERY convenient! The inside of this Caliber Collision Center is kind of small and cramped, but at least they have a TV and a popcorn machine for the customers. If I ever need more work done on my car I'd feel confident using them. 4.5 stars P.S. Folks be safe out there on the roads! read more

Just had my car recently repaired here after a hit and run. They kept me informed of what was being done and the finished product was amazing. Ruben is amazing and you should consider this location for your repair needs. Saw some complaints about cars being sent to other locations, you literally sign a consent that you want this to happen or not. So this isn't a deceitful practice, it is just lack of people reading what they are signing. read more

Some complications about a week after pick up of vehicle. The brake light assembly that integrates into the trunk lid was never bolted in. It came out in the carwash and the amp beneath the trunk floor was ruined and had to be replaced. I'd still bring my car back despite this major quality control error. I believe it was an anomaly and Caliber covered the cost of subsequent repairs (expensive). read more

In late August, me and my 2015 Hyundai Accent were the victims of heavy rain -- the type that obscures your vision behind the wheel. I drove right into what I thought was a puddle of water only to realize it was a F-ing pothole. Seeking to get out of the hole, I put my car into reverse and doing so jolted my right front fender. It popped out, and underneath the car some flap guard partially descended. I took my car to the San Pedro Caliber where Angie Casias handled my repair need, including working with my insurance company. She was very knowledgeable, efficient and reassuring. Instead of a week, my car was ready within three days! But before I could retrieve "the Hun," Angie meticulously examined other areas of the car's body as part of CC's thorough service. This is the most reputable, professional, courteous, and customer-centered body shop I've ever been to...I would trust them with any car in any color. They gave me regular updates and had my car done before I even had a chance to enjoy the rental car! Here's the story if you're interested in knowing why I'm so impressed: I bought a brand new car. It's a VERY challenging color to match (red-orange that changes constantly based on the lighting and angle) It was rear ended ONE WEEK later to the day!!! I found a shop with better reviews than this one and waited a month for an appointment. The front desk and customer service employees were friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the quality of work was sorely lacking. Round 1: They took my car and painted the pieces a color that wasn't even close and tried to justify the poor color match by blaming the lighting and metal vs. plastic blah blah blah. They didn't even blend it with the side panels....It was like black next to white. They also scratched my car and wouldn't fix it AND replaced a plastic bumper with a piece that was the wrong color. Round 2: they replaced the plastic bumper and got the right color, got a paint specialist, and repainted the car. The color was close and I would have been pleased if they had blended it in. Which they didn't. Again. Then they said they couldn't do better. Typical. An insurance agent came out to verify and confirm the color mismatch and recommended Caliber Collison and I had an appointment within 3 days. Caliber repainted my car AAAAAAND blended the paint AAAAAAAAND buffed out the scratch that the other shop left. When I inspected my car, I noted that the color seemed a little too red and took a few days to really look it over. Truly, the average person would probably have been satisfied but I LOVE the original color and I have an excellent eye for detail. When I told Caliber I was unhappy with the color, they gladly offered to reevaluate the color and readily conceded that it was slightly more red than the rest of the car. Yes, lighting DOES make a difference, but they didn't try to talk about their way out of it or make excuses. They just offered to take a little red out. This showed a level of integrity that I have never experienced from any auto shop before and I have lived in many states and have taken my cars to many shops This car paint mismatch nonsense I've been dealing with for 7 MONTHS was an experience from hell. I wish I found Caliber sooner.....It would have been done in a week! read more

I just had one of the BEST customer service experiences ever! My Jeep got attacked by a rogue tree limp and caused a lot of damage to my car. I was so stressed at the thought of being without my car. As soon as I walked into the business I felt welcomed and well taken care of. I did not have to wait the tech got right to work marking my car and walking me over to the rental car place. It was seamless. While my car was being repaired I was informed every step of the way what was happening with my car. I never had to call them! They called me. Technically adequate service, but customer relations in the facility are poor. Both visits, both dropping off our car as well as picking up, were punctuated by long waits for the "service advisor" and slow and somewhat disinterested service from the front desk personnel. Unfortunately most auto insurance does not allow for much choice of service center, so we were stuck. If you have a choice, though, consider a facility with better customer service. read more

Took my car in for repair after an accident. Caliber was almost annoying with too frequent phone calls informing me of repair progress. When repairs were finished I picked up the car. For home and noticed that they had not properly attached a plastic panel on the underside of the car so it dragged if I hit a bump. Also, headlamp replacement was not centered properly. I returned the car for them to correct the issues. They fixed the under panel but the headlight was still not right. They did finally resolve the issue but it should have been done correctly the first time. I would NOT recommend using this company. read more

They reinstalled damaged parts, had a bad paint match, took over a month and it's still not right. The technician didn't do good work, the service advisor didn't inspect the tech's poor work, the assistant manager (Stan?) is dismissive of customer concerns and the manager (Rudy) claimed to also have inspected the car but missed an awful lot of problems. read more
