I called and left messages, no calls returned, I had to go in and ask about finish date. The job was delayed 4 times. The last day I went in, I was told it would be ready either today or tomorrow. I let them know it would be today before they closed and it was. Professional staff, very nice new waiting room but the communication component needs to be addressed- 2 stars. Update: so Lexus has my car and has been fixing it for about a month now since heletos collision center couldn't find the issue. Turns out, Lexus told me "we had to push your sunroof up and replace moldings because they weren't installed properly at heletos collision center. They messed all of it up and we had to fix it back to its original state". NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE unless yall want y'all's car damaged. read more

So I explained the situation over the phone, where I needed an estimate to fix a horrible paint job. Came in like they asked, explained what they did and the guy wouldn't even do an estimate saying he didn't want to get involved. Waste of my time driving down here!! I explained it on the phone, and they said sure. Get here and the guy said he's afraid of someone in the middle of making a small claims court! Obviously He doesn't have confidence in his people! This family owned business is EXCELLENT! Not only are the owners very friendly and hands-on. They did a great job restoring my 2019 Lexus SUV to almost new condition after a car accident's almost $6k damage. Exceptional service. Paul and Carl both were great to work with. I had extensive damage to my small pickup and the work done here was excellent. Paint matched perfectly, gaps all even, it looked new when they were done. After I picked it up and drove it, I noticed a noise and asked them to check it out. They did extensive checks and found nothing related their work. They did find an issue related to a manufacture's bulletin - and they fixed it for me. == Original Review - February 2014 == Let me summarize by saying that Helotes Collision is awesome! My interaction with Helotes Colision started when a lady in front of me started to go at a yield sign and then abruptly stopped for a reason that I do not understand since there was nobody coming. That is another point altogether, so I digress. The lady was driving a Ford F150 and I was driving an Acura sedan. I rear ended her going about 10 mph. Thankfully nobody was hurt. Her truck had virtually no damage except a small scratch and my car was near totaled evidently. Based on a quick Yelp search, I told my insurance company I wanted to use Helotes Colision. Although my front end was crumpled, I was able to drive the car there myself. Helotes Colision was very polite and told me they would provide me an estimate asap. Long story short, I received my car back from them five weeks later in like new condition. They called me multiple times to keep me updated on the cars progress. They were perfectly honest throughout the entire process. Getting in a car accident and being without your car is very frustrating, fortunately though dealing with Helotes Colision was a pleasure. == Update - May 2014 == Three months later I was driving down the road and my car started over heating. I called Helotes Colision and asked them if the problem could be related to the work they did. They said to bring the car on in and they will take a look. They said as far as they are concerned, my car was their baby. They diagnosed the temperature problem to be a manufacture defective radiator. They worked with the manufacturer to get the problem fixed. They also provided me with a rental car while they fixed the problem. Their customer service and care is phenomenal. He and his crew took the door back apart, found the problem I was concerned about, and made the repair, avoiding a return trip for us and hassle. Paint work was excellent in quality as well. I am not from San Antonio. My car got into a minor accident and hood get jammed. The car battery died next morning. I called multiple places and everyone gave me a run around. I called Helotes Collision Center and spoke with Aaron. He was so nice over the phone and offer a courtesy check of the car. I towed my and they undone my hood and jump start my car within 30 minutes. I normally don't write reviews, but Helotes Collision Center team deserve a big shout out. Insurance sent me to Helotes Collision due to it being one of their choice shops. My front end was damage after hitting a deer. The car was given back to me with lights that had not been adjusted after being replaced. This almost caused me to have another accident because I could not see anything when I was driving to work. Also there was a lot of play in my steering wheel, I was told "Your tire is not round", so I took my car to where I bought my tires and they took the tire off and showed me the rim on the front passenger side which was bent and asked me if I had been in an accident. Took the car back to Helotes Collision, they would not fix claiming it could not have happened in the accident and then telling the insurance that as well . read more

They fixed my 2004 Chevy Tahoe damage in one day. I had been down in Rockport and had the terrible experience of hitting a very large dog who ran out in front of me. I love dogs and this broke my heart. At any rate, these guys are the best in the Helotes area. I believe the craftsman who took care of me was Fidencio. He is a top notch body man!!!! It was a flawless repair. I told them I was paying out of my own pocket and they only charged me $180 for the full fix. My bumper was warped, the plastic front fascia was ripped from it's mount and the fender was bent in, nearly touching the front tire. I should note, they had to pull the front fender back into proper position and no actual painting was required. They also had to "heat gun" the fender flare to get it back into position and I think they had to realign the front bumper. I absolutely will go back here again, although I hope to never again hit a dog. read more

The staff at Helotes Collision Center had my car fixed in less than a week, and I was extremely pleased with the quality of work done. This was our third experience with them. We had our two Lexus in their shop three times in the past two years. Each time we were very pleased with the way they handled the repairs and all the ancillary tasks associated with obtaining rental cars for us and dealing with insurance companies. The actual repairs to our vehicles were flawless. They are extremely competent. We had to do nothing but drop off and pick up our cars when the repairs were completed. The owners become personally involved and the managers make certain that all the small details are taken care of. I highly recommend this repair shop. read more

I received terrible work and customer service from this facility and I would never deal with them again. My bumper was attached incorrectly and when I tried to have it rectified they were not only rude but they made the problem worse by creating new damage! Very disappointed in the level of service and workmanship. I took my car in for an estimate based on a recommendation. I had damage to a rim and the surrounding wheel well. I then scheduled an appointment to have the damaged repaired. However, when I called to bring the car in, they had no record of it my appointment. So I had to wait another two weeks. Once I got the car back, the workmanship was sub par. The person in charge of the job did not even meet with me. (THAT SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING WHEN SOME WILL NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK). The reshaping of the wheel well is less than perfect. You can see a slight indentation with the seem to the rear panel. The rim was spot painted with a color that does not match the original color. Total subpar rush job. Hopefully the paint on the wheel well will last. read more

We've had the fortune of using this place twice this year - for both of our accidents. The office is clean and welcoming, you walk in, they greet you and offer a coffee or tea made to your liking with several different choices of brew. The work is a good quality - our car loosely represented an accordion this last time and now it is beautiful once again and running great! And the staff outrageously friendly. They went above and beyond to help us out this week. With the Christmas Season here my husband and I were running short on cash and had planned to charge our insurance deductible to a credit card. But the day we picked the car up I'd only had an hours sleep and I had to go out of town that morning. In my sleepy travels I lost that credit card - the only one we had! I spent hours retracing my steps but couldn't find it anywhere. After talking to my husband and trying to decide whether or not we would get enough if we pawned our flat screen TV - I called to tell them what was happening. She was very understanding and agreed to take a postdated check. And when I picked the car up she even let me add on some cash to put gas in the rental car!
