Not happy with the quality of the repair done to my car. Not meet my expectations. Had to come back several times and my time is valuable.

When my vehicle was damaged in the epic hail storm a while back I called this location the same weekend and was scheduled an appointment after being told there were not many cars ahead of mine. Upon arrival the day of my drop off at my scheduled time there was no appointment booked. I had to jump through hoops to get my car seen. Now, over a month later im getting conflicting information from the adjuster and the mechanic which is irritating since they are telling me two plus months to get my vehicle fixed. My daughter was involved in a fender bender and GEICO sent us here. Both GEICO and Caliber folks were great and service was prompt and professional. Two weeks after picking up the jeep, my daughter was hit on 1604 by a hit-and-run driver. Damage was $3.5K. This happened on a Friday and we told GEICO we wanted to use Caliber again. Took the vehicle in on Monday or Tuesday and original estimated time of repair was a week and a half. Caliber called us a few days later on Friday and the vehicle's repairs were done. I'd give them a zero if I could. We used Caliber Collision on San Pedro for some body work on business delivery vehicle. We scheduled the drop off date and time a month in advance and dropped it off the morning of April 19th. I was called on the same day of the drop off to confirm that it was in their shop and asked how frequently I wanted calls for updates. I told Christian I'd like an update every 3-4 days. After about a week, I had not received any updates so I called to check in. Christian was not available and they did not have anyone who could give me an update. This went on for the next 4 weeks - no updates, no call backs when I'd leave a message, etc. I finally reached out to my insurance to see if they had heard anything. Our insurance rep reached out to Caliber-- called, left multiple voice mails, and emailed multiple times before receiving an answer. I finally received a call from Rafael telling me it should be done by Friday -- this is the second week of June now. Friday comes and goes and we have not vehicle. I call Monday morning, wait on hold for Rafael, and he comes on and tells me they ordered the wrong part/the part came in damaged so they couldn't finish Friday. They should have it done in the next few days. I finally get a call that I can come pick up the vehicle. I arrive at Caliber, wait for 15 minutes to have someone address me and pick up my vehicle. Before I even get back to our business I notice that the van has been infested with ANTS in the two months that Caliber had it. I had to go back over to Caliber so they could give us a free detail and resolve the issue. What a mess! I won't be going back to this location. I am under the impression that they have new management, but this has been too much of a mess for us to go back to Caliber. read more

I went to Caliber Collision on San Pedro based on the 5-star rating that others gave them. I was a little early, but the lady at the counter greeted me and gave me a form to fill out. Then a gentlemen, John, came out and greeted me, and we went to assess the damage on my vehicle. He also walked me next door to Enterprise to get a rental. I took my car in on Mon, and it was ready by Fri. They did an awesome job! I know black paint is black paint, but they matched the color perfectly. John even drove my rental back to Enterprise. Everyone was great to work with. I know that this review is for Caliber, but I also wanted to point out that the folks at State Farm were friendly and professional, and so were the folks at Enterprise. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The on-site Geico Adjuster, Tony, and Caliber Service Advisor, Dustin, each deserve their own 5-stars. They work very well together and managed to deliver my car in half the estimated time. Their work was impeccable; the service and professionalism of the staff and it's facilities is unmatched. The other companies I shopped we're just as polite and professional but Caliber just had something more. By far, Caliber had the nicest facilities and most technicians to expedite repairs. Their estimate was the same price as the mom-n-pop shops but dollar-for-dollar, Caliber provides the highest quality experience in town. read more

I took my car to them and they fixed the repairs fast and they did a great job. Out of all the estimates Caliber had the lowest price. I saw my car and it looked brand new, they even washed it for me. I was in and out in no time. The staff is friendly and they answered all my questions. Well i purchased a brand new 2014 bmw and after 1000 miles of ownership i got hit in a parking lot on my rear bumper. Nothing extreme it was a 5mph fender bender and bmw suggested caliber collision to repair it. I took the car in with Rudy at caliber and dropped it off. After a week he called and said the car was done, i came to see it and to my surprise the bumper color did not match the rear quarter panels one bit. He said to give him more time and he would fix it. After 1 month and a half of going back and forth for issues with paint drip spots on the bumper or overspray in the tailights he calls me and says its ready. I go to pick it up and notice this time it matched so i took it home and decided to take it to a professional detailer since the car sat at a bodyshop so long and could have paint contaminants. Well to my surprise the detailer calls me and asks if my car was in a bad wreck because the whole rear half on both sides was repainted. I was furious and caliber admitted they could not match my cars color and decided to blend it without my authorization. Now my brand new car will suffer a depreciation hit whenever i want to trade it in as all dealers do a paint inspection and can tell if a car has been resprayed. All i got was sorry and they offered to pay the detailing. Stay away from caliber. The only place in town i trust after this is Northside collision. read more

find somewhere else-San Pedro Location.I may revise this post but had a horrible experience with this company. Took in my car that was in an accident and the front fender/bumper were damaged. The Bumper had previous damage as is 7 year old vehicle so I asked to replace it. They said Insurance (Geico) denied it. Certainly this was to save money. that said I picked up vehicle and yes it was 3 days before they advised but less than 1 week later the bumper separated from the fender! I was ticked. Then to have employees whom I will name later try and say that the damage on the car before (which was clearly in pictures) was the reason. I then asked to see pictures to SHOW them that what they were trying to use as an excuse was there when I initially brought in car. case and point their shoddy work didn't fix it. I recommend 2 things take full pictures yourself and note any pre-existing conditions AND wait at least a month before reviewing service after. They try and get the review quick as I am sure this is not an anomaly. read more

My Acura TSX was backed into damaging the bumper and hood. The person that hit my vehicle had Geico insurance and this Caliber Collision location is one of a number of recommended locations for quick and supposedly easy repairs. This review is written of two separate companies that operate together under the Caliber Collision roof. First Caliber Collision. The repairs done to my Acura TSX look great. All of the lines are strait and the paint is a perfect match. The staff was friendly and answered any questions I had. Second is the review of the Geico representative that works at Caliber Collision. The reps name is John Smith and he is very unpleasant to work with. The real issue I had with John was getting reimbursed for my rental car. I did not use the onsite rental car company so a Geico rep informed me over the phone that I would be reimbursed for the rental car fee at a rate of $25.00 per day. I informed John Smith of this at our initial meeting and told that he normally does not do reimbursements and his attitude changed from pleasant to rude very quickly. I understand that his job is to save his company money but a rental car is part of the insurance coverage. I was told that I would be reimbursed when I returned to pick the car up when it was finished being repaired. When I returned 15 days later to pick up my car I was again met with a very rude attitude from John Smith when I ask about my rental reimbursement. He said, "what did you do with the check I gave you originally." I informed him that I was not given a check and that I was told we would settle up after the car was finished. We argued back and forth about a mystery check he said he had given me before rolling his eye and storming off. Finally after 30 minutes of waiting I was issued my check and on my way. I would give a five star rating to Caliber Collision and a zero to John Smith (Geico agent) read more
