He only hires skilled automotive craftsman that can make your car look better than it did before whatever unfortunate mishap it was involved in. I have personally seen Al argue and win with the insurance company on how they wanted to not pay to get something right and Al wins. If you don't care how your car looks or if it rusts out 1 year later because some guy just learned how to paint did your repair then take it to one of the 30 other body shops. If you care about getting your car back and having the right work done and the repairs lasting then call Al or stop by for an estimate. I hope to not get in an accident but if I do there is no question I'll be on mechanic street at Mackey's

Day before we're supposed to get it back they call and can't find headlights and "claim" none anywhere in the country so have to use aftermarket. 12 seconds online and I found 33. Said truck was all done except for headlights but a week later they call and want $ for other parts insurance isn't gonna cover. If truck was done then why ask about other parts a week later and want $????? Had to tell them 4 TIMES about parts they didn't have on estimate and have them order them!!! For a place in business that long, you would think they know what they are doing but I wouldn't take a bicycle there!!!!!!!!!

I needed a new pin and bushings in the upper hinge of the driver's door on my 15 year old Dakota…read more I called the Dodge dealer and they wanted $100 to take the door off and look at it then they'd give me an estimate to make the repair. Talked to the Ford dealer and they wanted $450. So, I went to Bedore's. As soon as I got out of my truck someone approached me and checked out the door. He called his parts supplier to make sure they had the parts and gave me a quote of $140 to replace the pins and bushings in both hinges. Told me to drop it off on Monday and I'd get it back on Tuesday. I dropped it off and and 5 hours later he called & told me it was done. I went down there and the bill was only $80. He had deduced that 95% of the play was in the upper hinge. He popped out that pin, replaced the bushings, and popped in a new pin. The bushing for the detent mechanism is also worn out but it's not a necessity so he left it like it was. It's not made to be replaced so they would have to remove the door and replace the whole hinge or fabricate something from scratch. Not worth it on an old truck. I can't say enough about these guys: honest, hard working, fast, polite and it was all taken care of with no hassles in less time and for less $ than the estimate. Highly recommend Bedore's Midtown if you need some body work.
