The car sits for 10 months a year in a protected garage.We come to Michigan for the fall season. Fired up the car , had no brakes and could smell gas. This is a summer only car so no exposure to winter salted roads so little rust...but it is a 20 year old car. Checked all over Jackson, Mi for someone to repair the problem...of course most every repair shop was two to four days out before they could "look" at it. These guys immediately looked at it and gave me the prognostics. The repair was more complex than the rest of the day would allow to repair so they lent me their loaner car to use so I could pick up the wife that night a the Detroit airport. All repaired the following day by 10 A.M. Granted any repair of this magnitude is expensive but i feel it was fair and has a 2yr/24k warranty on the repair. You go TAMROX To make the cost a little less painful to my wallet that also gave me a 10% new customer discount off labor!!!!! Great folks!

I've gone to other Jackson area places when I lived there and nothing but hassle. I digress. Google has this rated at 4.9 and the choice was made. Bill and his crew are absolute gems to work with. He called me first thing Monday morning and asked me what the problem was. Unfortunately, it was nothing good and much more expensive than I had hoped, but that's how it is with cars sometimes. When I picked up my vehicle, they made sure to show me the damaged parts and even lifted the car so I could see underneath. I honestly had never seen the underside of my car ever. They even sealed up a crack in my exhaust that GM quoted me over $2k to fix. The car runs as it should and I have been driving it all over the state ever since. Bill also texted to check up on the car's performance a few days later, which I've never had. Hopefully I don't break down in Jackson again, but if I ever do, it's going there again. I needed a new pin and bushings in the upper hinge of the driver's door on my 15 year old Dakota…read more I called the Dodge dealer and they wanted $100 to take the door off and look at it then they'd give me an estimate to make the repair. Talked to the Ford dealer and they wanted $450. So, I went to Bedore's. As soon as I got out of my truck someone approached me and checked out the door. He called his parts supplier to make sure they had the parts and gave me a quote of $140 to replace the pins and bushings in both hinges. Told me to drop it off on Monday and I'd get it back on Tuesday. I dropped it off and and 5 hours later he called & told me it was done. I went down there and the bill was only $80. He had deduced that 95% of the play was in the upper hinge. He popped out that pin, replaced the bushings, and popped in a new pin. The bushing for the detent mechanism is also worn out but it's not a necessity so he left it like it was. It's not made to be replaced so they would have to remove the door and replace the whole hinge or fabricate something from scratch. Not worth it on an old truck. I can't say enough about these guys: honest, hard working, fast, polite and it was all taken care of with no hassles in less time and for less $ than the estimate. Highly recommend Bedore's Midtown if you need some body work.
