Went to this location based on reviews and did not regret the decision. My truck needed body and windshield repairs and they allowed me to drop my vehicle off the same day the accident happened. Tim was my advisor and provided timely updates through the entire process. During the repair, as accidents do happen, they ripped a leather seat. Tim acknowledged their mistake upon pickup and said the part was on order and would advise when I could come in to swap out seat that was ripped. I also needed some interior repair on a door handle so I came back in for a second time to fix their mistake and the door which was priced fair for the work that was needed. I even waited for the second repair and was out of there in less than two hours for seat/door repair. No complaints and will come back here for any future repairs. read more

My vehicle was rear-end with damage to bumper, rear lights, and sensors. The damage was repaired within a decent amount of time. I received updates and when calling in to ask questions someone was able to provide information immediately. I appreciated their assistance with contacting the rental car company to pick me up and later to return the car. I do not hope to be in an accident again, but if such occurs I'll return to Caliber Collision. read more

I cant say enough great things about my experience here. Everything was perfect from the communication to the timeline. I was greated initially by Vickie. Her vibe made me super comfortable from the get go. Everything about her screamed "dont worry, we will take care of you." The guy who took care of us went above and beyond to get my truck back together. When I got home I realized he even got them to take care of another spot that was bothering me. Very good customer service. All the body repairs and paint looked great. You could not tell the car had been wrecked. I did have a noise after the initial repair I had to bring it back for. They took it to their mechanic to look into it, no questions asked. Turned out it was a bad wheel bearing (from the accident) which they replaced and added to the claim for me. This is my 3rd time dealing with Caliber-specifically the Lafayette Blvd location and if I have another need I will return. Negative: I had to have my driver mirror replaced. When I went to pick up there was a barcode sticker visible on the arm. I asked them to remove and they did-but- I am not sure what was used but it left the plastic cloudy. Then, you could tell they used some paint to partially cover the spot. Shame since it was brand new. My advisor did offer to replace the mirror again but I declined. It was not enough of an issue to warrant a full replacement. All in all I am very pleased with Caliber. read more

Any one who is waiting is not waiting for Covid they are slow and probably ran out of glue. I do not believe OEM parts were used and they could not prove they did purchase OEM. Tailgate does not fit and Ram box has a wave. The piece that was glued kept breaking because truck bed is so torked they brought out the glue. DO NOT USE THIS BODY SHOP. This shop has terrible customer service. If I could give zero stars, I would. My son hit a deer which caused minimal damage to the front of it. We took it to this shop to get the estimate done on a Tuesday. They said they could fix it and to drop it off on the following Monday when they open so they can do the supplemental estimate and get started on the repairs. It was supposed to be done in 2 weeks, however, they took 2 weeks just to get around to doing the supplemental estimate and then didn't order parts for over another week after that. I finally picked up my car today and the hood, bumper and car are 3 different shades of blue. During this entire time, they lacked communication. They said we would get regular text messages from them which didn't happen. I didn't get anything from them for over 2 weeks and had to call them for an update to find that nothing had been done. The receptionist is pointless as she couldn't even give me an update on the car and said I had to wait for a call from the lady working on it. She said I would get a call by the end of the day. I did not. I had to call at the end of the day the next day. I told them how bad the communication was and I finally got a couple of updates except ine was to push the pick up out a week because they didn't fet the parts in time due to taking too long to order them. Then, it got pushed out another week and I was supposed to get it in Friday last week. I got zero communication from them and I had to call this past Monday to find out what was going on only to find out they still needed a couple of parts and it was possibly going to be done yesterday but I didn't fet anything from them yesterday. I finally got a notification today and I got to pick it up just before closing. We had to have a rental car for 5.6 weeks due to the severe lack of customer service of this place. My son is 18 and not allowed to drive a rental car so he ended up losing his job thanks to this place since he had no way to get to work a couple of days we weren't able to drop him off. He is still without a job and having a hard time getting an interview. When I told the manager that, I didn't feel he cared, and just told me he had an 18 year old to and said sorry. He even said it should've been done in 2 weeks. Overall, I don't know how this place stays in business with the terrible customer service. read more

Caliber did a great job with my collision repair! The customer service provided by all staff members from my initial contact all the way to my final pickup was consistently excellent. The estimator who performed the initial assessment of the damage oversaw the entire repair and advised me in a timely manner of the problems and the progress. An extra effort by one of the technicians made it possible to avoid a serious delay that would have been very inconvenient for me Finally, when I picked up the vehicle, I was pleasantly surprised to find that a thorough cleaning of both the entire exterior and entire interior had been performed. Someone hit my car while I was on vacation in Massachusetts. My USAA insurance sent me to Caliber Collision on Lafayette St in Fredericksburg. From the moment I set foot in their office to relinquish my damaged car, to that when I was invited to examine my "like new" and completely cleaned vehicle, the experience was as pain free and pleasant as it could be. The staff was courteous, friendly, well spoken, knowledgeable, and just plain nice. The office was bright, airy, very clean, and stocked with amenities such as a well stocked Keurig system and a big TV set to HGTV! Enterprise works out of the office, so trading my car for a rental was seamless. Kim called me each morning to explain the repair status. A nice touch! My car was done sooner than I'd expected. When I arrived to pick it up, it looked like new, and it was immaculate! Thus is no small thing, as I own a shedding dog, and hair was everywhere. No longer! I have yet to let my dog in the car, as I'm enjoying it too much in its renewed condition. Thanks, Caliber folks, from office staff to complete repair crew. Last year (2018) I went out of town for Thanksgiving in my new 2017 Honda Civic. On the trip back I got hit while parked at a gas station in South Carolina. I ended up leaving the car there for over a month while the Caliber Collision there repaired my car. When I got it back I felt like something was wrong with the wheel, but was reassured it was "fine". After driving it around for about a month I just couldn't take it anymore and stopped by the Caliber Collision in Fredericksburg to take a look at it under their Lifetime Warranty. They quickly confirmed that the wheel bearing had been installed incorrectly, and while it wasn't unsafe, it was loud and annoying (which I was able to confirm). Within a week they scheduled me to have it fixed and it didn't cost me a penny. They were friendly and accommodating and I haven't had any issues since. I highly recommend doing business with them. read more

The actual body work on the outside was done properly, however when my wife picked up the car she noticed the "hood ajar" light was illuminated on the dash. She went back into the service counter and they came out and looked it over. After checking around for a few minutes they said it was not related to their repair and to take it to the dealer since "it's probably under warranty" were their words. The light was not lit when she brought it there, but what could she do? So we took it to the dealer, who removed the front bumper (which had never been removed before it went to this shop) and found that there were 4 main clips that hold in a part of the assembly, 1 was missing and none of the other 3 matched one another, so it was definitely not from the factory. They also found that the wiring harness to one of the 2 hood latches was left unplugged, and of course once they plugged it in the light went out when the hood was closed. So I spent $165 at my dealer to fix something that this body shop did not reassemble correctly, and the worse part was that this shop was not willing to look into it more closely to see what they missed and just wanted to get the customer out the door and push the customer over to someone else to fix their goof. That's not exactly the most ethical behavior, is it? I would never take my car to this shop again. read more

The repair work was good, very pleased with the results. I liked that they walked you through what they would do to repair the car and kept in touch every day or so with status updates. I docked a point because they didn't put my mud flaps back on flush, and another because the spare change in my center console was missing when I got my car back. read more

A month and a half later and they are still not accurate with their time estimates. had to be towed back to their shop after they claimed that it was good to go! It's a good thing I didn't drive it out of there and had it towed, as my radiator and coolant reservoir were completely empty. Along with them trying to say that it wasn't related to the accident. They said it would be ready Friday, yet another oversight extended that timeframe. They said it would be ready Saturday, is that right? No. It's not. That was an outright lie. They are closed on Saturday. These are just a select few reasons as to why you should STEER CLEAR. Highly disappointed and will not be bringing another vehicle to these chains again. read more

I had the same impressive experience as the last reviewer! USAA sent me to Caliber Collision after an accident where a deer ran out in front of my vehicle on Highway 95! I received it back and my vehicle looked like new. The office kept me up to date with regular status updates and Harry was very professional and courteous. After picking my car up, there was hidden (previously undiscovered) damage to the car that was only able to be found after driving for a while. I contacted the office and spoke to Harry, they got my car back in the same day, took care of everything and even threw in a new battery and added more fuel to the tank. I will be recommending this company to everyone I know for their excellent service, friendly and professional staff, and commitment to customer satisfaction. read more

I have used Caliber Collision twice before, but had not written any review... Yesterday I went to Caliber due to a broken hinge on my cars hood, I was told by James B. that they could get the part and have it installed that day, but due to time constraints I chose to be there first thing this morning as they opened up. I was immediately impressed by both the ladies who sit up front, both were very friendly, great with customers and quick to smile, Kim and Desiree are fantastic examples of true customer service and speak volumes as the first line representatives for their company. This morning, Desiree quickly got my paperwork / quote processed, and my car checked in as James took my keys and drove my car to the service area. Because James told me their service department could get the job done with about an hour and a half of service, I decided to wait at the customer center. This area was very comfortable and smelled of the freshly popped popcorn that was made while I was sitting there. Caliber Collision had my car in, serviced, and returned to me in under 45 minutes. We hit an object lying in the middle of I-95 shortly after dusk while traveling through Fredericksburg on a family vacation last week, damaging the undercarriage of our SUV. The damage appeared to be minimal, but we stopped by CC the next day to get an expert opinion. USAA sent me here. By far the most incompetent front office staff I have ever seen. They kept telling me that the car would be complete soon--"any day now". It took them 16 days to replace a piece of carpet and two pieces of trim. I finally got fed up and went up there, the person handling my case went on vacation and didn't tell anyone that the final part was in. Nobody new what the heck was going on with my car. I don't know where these good reviews are coming from, but this place is garbage. read more

I have currently been waiting for them to call me back for a warranty issue. It's been over two weeks. Caliber SUCKS!!!! To preface, I was weary at first to bring my vehicle here because there are very few reviews on yelp and google, most of them negative due to missing change in the vehicle. I didn't experience any missing change but then again I completely empty my vehicle before dropping it off for any service. The only reviews I could find were on Carwise, which at the time of this posting they have 4.7 stars out of 873 reviews with 94% recommending. There aren't that many parking spots out in front of the building, I counted 3 spots on the right side of the entrance door and there maybe have been an additional 2-3 on the left side. The front office is clean and well light. They have a table with a coffee machine, it's similar to a Keurig but I've never seen this system before. There are a variety of choices of coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. They also have a popcorn machine, with I presume popcorn made fresh every morning. Brought my Honda here to be repaired after it was hit in the rear driver's quarterpanel by another vehicle. Since my vehicle was still drivable the first appointment was to get an estimate for repairs for insurance approval. My estimator was Brad, very nice guy. They take photos of the vehicles to document all pre-existing damage in the event a customer disputes whether or not damage was pre-existing before the repair or caused by the shop during repair. Brad walked me through the damage that needed to be repaired, how it would be repaired, how much time it would take to repair, as well as any other supplemental repairs such as blending the paint on adjacent surfaces. As it was a very cold morning and I had my 3 year old toddler was with me, Brad said he could email me the estimate after he was finished typing everything up instead of having me wait around for it which was much appreciated. A few days later, presumably after insurance signed off on the estimate, I received a phone call to schedule my vehicle for a drop-off. They do have an on-site Enterprise Rent-A-Car but it is a satellite office of the one located at 4810 Jefferson Davis Hwy. It seems it is only staffed during the busier days such as Monday, Friday, and Saturday. Otherwise, they'll send someone out to shuttle you to the main office. I was able to get a rental car on-site and dropped it off on-site as well when I picked up my vehicle. Kim from the front office would regularly call me with repair updates. I didn't expect this but it's a nice touch, I know what is happening to my vehicle instead of wondering when it may or may not be done. There were a few days where the status seemed to be in quality control but I'd rather wait a few days for it to be done right then get it back quickly but with defects. The repair is top notch so far. Can't even tell that it was in an accident. The only thing you can tell is the new paint is shinier than the old paint, probably due to a newer clear coat, and the black trim is black instead of ashy gray like the old trim but such is the nature of vehicle repair. I only docked a star because when I picked up my vehicle the TPMS light, or low tire pressure light was on. I thought nothing of it because it seemed pretty simple to just drive down the street to Wawa and put more air into it. I didn't want to bother the busy people with a simple issue. In hindsight I should have mentined it. It took a while to pump the tire up to the proper pressure of 30 PSI, I estimate the tire pressure was at 20 PSI. On the rest of the drive home the car made a weird, repetitive noise. On futher inspection I found a screw lodged into the tire! Had I known I would have never kept driven the car. I can only surmise that this occured while my vehicle was in Caliber Collision's care. I called them back up and they asked if I could bring it in the next morning for the technicians to look at. I said yes with every intention to do so but after looking at the screw it seemed like all it needed was a patch. Instead of driving all the way back I decided to just take it to the tire shop down the street to patch it up, which I'm sure is what Caliber Collision would have done anyway. All in all it was a great experience with great service and repair, aside from the tire issue. Hopefully I never have to visit a body shop again but if I do I would not hesitate to come back and would recommend them to friends as well. read more

Caliber was recommended to me and I am glad they were. Harry, the person overseeing my repairs, called often with updates on the progress. He was friendly and professional. The updates were a comforting piece of mind after being hit on 95 and driving around in a rental. The repairs were extensive and Caliber was able to put my Subaru back together, good as new. If there was ever any doubt over a part, Harry would call to see which I preferred. The final product looks great. Phil, I think a manager, inspected the car with me and explained all of the repairs and said to please let them know if I ever see anything wrong. He escorted me to the front reception area, and I cannot remember the lady who closed my repairs, but she was pleasant as well. She gave me a folder of all the parts and repairs and answered my questions. The knowledge of the people at Caliber was impressive. I never heard, " I don't know." I popped the plastic on my bumper and did not have the right tool to fix it myself - nothing was broken, the part simply needed to be popped back in. A five minute fix. Customer service needs work! Repairs were fine and communication started off satisfactory. However, car was promised back on a Friday. I received a call Friday at 2:30PM that repairs were done, but they had a line of cars to wash, and wouldn't get to mine. They requested to return the car on Mon. I agreed. No call on Monday, so I called after 4PM and was told the reason for the delay was a grease stain they left on my headliner (was this the real reason for the delay on Fri?). They wanted to delay until Tuesday so they could send it away for cleaning. I agreed (but shouldn't have). Never contacted on Tuesday so I called at 5:45pm. My POC, Larry, had gone home, and my car was still not ready. I requested a call first thing in the morning on Wed. Wed morning I didn't receive a call...had to call for an update at 8:45AM (despite confirmation Larry had received my request for a call). I finally picked up the car Wednesday evening. Grease stain and circle stain where they tried to clean it is still very visible. Will have to replace headliner to fix. No offer to compensate me for the sloppy work and damage to my car. No offer to compensate me for the $180 I had to pay for a rental car cracked windshield that occurred during their delays trying to clean their mistake, and not even an apology when I pointed out the stain was still evident. USAA recommends them, but I'm sure that's just a corporate agreement. I won't return to Calliber and I don't recommend any USAA customers do either. USAA has another recommended collision repair shop in Fredericksburg. Use them. Perhaps their customer service is more on par with USAA standards. read more

Don't bring your car here to get it repaired!! I had a small amount of damage on my car, was told it would be about a week and a half to get it repaired. I brought my car in the week of the 24th of September AND IT'S STILL THERE!!! I was finally told it would be ready last Wednesday, and to expect a call. I finally called in later on Wednesday just asking for an update since I'd have to leave work to be able to make it down to get my car before they closed. Was told it wouldn't be ready until Thursday and I'd hear by noon. Noon came around, no call. So I called in. Was told the person who was in charge of making sure my car was done was at lunch and would call me back but my car should be done by 3. 4 comes around and I call back in. Again the person that knew was no where around so I couldn't speak with him and was told no one knew what was going on with my car. Finally got a call that evening from the person and he said if everyone did their job my car was done, but it was raining outside so he wouldn't check to see if it was done that night so I couldn't get it until Friday and he'd call me in the morning. I finally call in Friday afternoon and was told that the paint people messed the paint up and it had to be fixed. They'd try to finish it up Friday, but it would probably be Monday. Now it's Tuesday, still haven't heard anything, and they've had my car for over 3 weeks for just a small amount of damage. If you want your car back, to know what's going on, and to have it fixed right DON'T BRING IT TO CALIBER!!!!! read more

Took my car there after I had been hit in a parking lot. It took a week longer than expected to get my vehicle back, no big deal I had a rental. I looked over where the car had hit me and everything looked great so I left. Less than 5 minutes off the lot I notice a crack in my windshield. I'm highly sensitive to anything hitting my windshield as it was shattered on 95 a few months prior. I had not heard anything hit my windshield. I immediately turned around and went back, returning to the shop less than 10 minutes after I left. They said it was done after I left and also pointed out 2 huge addition chips in my windshield next to it. There is NO way all of that could have happened and I not hear anything hit my windshield. There was no point in fighting as it was a he said she said situation. Shortly after I got my car back I noticed one side of my car getting really dirty, and there a slight wobble to my wheel when I hit the brakes. I didn't think anything of it, was rarely driving my vehicle at the time and it didn't come up much. Within the month we took a trip to MD and I mentioned it to my husband, as he was driving during the trip. He said he felt the wobble too and would check it out. He thought maybe the rotor was bent in the accident and it didn't get replaced. He threw it up on a lift when we got to MD, as his brother is a mechanic up there. The boot on the passenger side axle was ripped in 2 places splashing oil on the side of my car and the caliper causing it to stick and had warped the rotor. We were told that this is something that is often done by accident when the specific work that we had done from the accident was done. Our insurance told us to call them up and schedule an appointment to have them look at it again. When we called they told us over the phone that it wasn't their fault that they wouldn't do something like that and didn't even look at it. The fact that they didn't even want to look at it speaks volumes. Definitely wont go back, those who do, make sure you look over EVERYTHING very well before signing it out! read more

At first I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I had pohanka collision fix a previous vehicle I owned. I got there had a gentleman named Clift help me. I was rear ended and needed a new bumper. He took pictures, was very nice . Today I went to get my vehicle bumper was nice and fixed BUT I get in my car look into my glove box to see ALL of my change is gone! I go inside and state my money is missing. They advised the manager is gone for the day, so they let Clift talk to me. He apologizes and states they aren't responsible for things that go missing in your vehicle. Also, lets me know that this has happened before but "they thought they had gotten rid of the problem" but guessed they didn't or someone is following in their footsteps. He tried to say that he would take my car to fill the tank, but my tank was already filled and then offered me a 5 dollar gift card to sheetz. Beware of this collision center, make sure every item is taken out because they can't be trusted! It's a shame how your vehicle just needs a new bumper but yet nothing inside needed to be worked on, but yet these co workers feel the need to snoop inside your vehicle and take what they want. Disappointment!!!! And will never do business again if I would need another repair! read more
