Matt kept me informed during the stages of paint in which I appreciated and got it done faster than I expected.

"Owner Paints Horse Trailer, Sleeps in Trailer to Confirm Quality"…read more The owner of this business insists upon top-quality. It doesn't matter if it's a car, boat, plane, or horse trailer. However, Mark does not like to paint locomotives. Anyway, this horse trailer was destined to become a mobile bar. Yes I know that sounds odd, but that's the gospel truth. Naturally if you want to convert your horse trailer to a bar, it must be impeccable. So when Mark painted this trailer, he had to be positive there were no drips. I mean, just imagine if you were guzzling a beer and paint drops started plopping from the ceiling. That would be no fun! Plus it would add an unknown flavor to your beer. So of course, Mark had no choice but to sleep in the horse trailer. That way he could be positive there were no paint drips or drops. (Sleeping in a horse trailer is like going to a YMCA Camp, but without the archery.) I hear Mark's wife was not pleased with this turn of events, but the customer always comes first. That's just the type of man he is. I have known the owner of this business for years. He is a person of great integrity and trustworthiness. Whenever I have horse trailers to paint I always bring them to Mark.

They closed the insurance claim without our approval/satisfaction, so now we have to reopen a claim and go through weeks of processing. I had to take my car there 4 times and each time they claimed that "they fixed the issue", only for it to not look any different and the headlight still facing the floor. Another 'amazing' customer experience with them -- I picked my car up one of the many times we took it back, I turned it on and there was NO gas in my tank. This would've been fine if they TOLD me before leaving it out in front of the shop, but they didn't say a word. I had to walk to the nearby Safeway, ask people coming by if they had a gas can, walk back, and fill up my tank enough to get to the gas station with my car. Absolutely ridiculous. The one nice thing I can say about them is that they thoroughly detailed my car before giving it back the first time. That was very nice. Despite that, avoid this an auto body repair shop at ALL costs.

While I was waiting, I went to two different auto shops in the area and had really different experiences. Brooks Auto was on a whole different level from the moment I walked in. Their lobby and facilities look so nice that I actually thought the prices were going to be through the roof, especially since I was having a few extra scrapes handled at the same time. I worked with Patrick, and he stayed in touch through the whole process. He gave me clear updates and a timeline that actually felt realistic. They even finished the car almost half a week early and still apologized like they were behind. Everyone there was friendly and helpful, and the whole experience just felt smooth and straightforward. What surprised me the most was the quality of the work. My car came back looking better than it did the day I bought it. I had never had it waxed before, but since they repaired both sides they went ahead and waxed the whole thing. The paint match was perfect and even the areas they didn't work on looked great. It was the first time I picked up my car from a repair shop and felt honestly impressed instead of just relieved to be done.

Patrick inspected the car and pointed out we hit some debris that pulled the inner bumper off.
