For some of us our car is not a material possession. It's a symbol of accomplishment, pride and sophistication. The man and machine relationship is only something a car enthusiast can understand. Calliber Collision understands this. I selected Calliber Collision to get work done on my Lexus. I made my selection based upon reviews from Luxury car owners that had wonderful experiences working with Paul. From start to finish the customer service at this location is phenomenal. Paul W was the service advisor that greeted me and inspected my car exactly on time and inspired confidence in me that they would take great care of my Lexus. Driving a luxury vehicle you want to make sure they true experts get their hands on it if you need work done. Especially bran new Luxury cars. I was very concerned about the cosmetic damage and paint damage my car had given the pearlescent paint and hit and run damage. Just absolutely terrible that someone would do this to me but I'm grateful I was able to find Calliber. Paul provided daily updates, talked to me about the process, set proper expectations. communicated effectively and most importantly even did the added touch of calling my car her name I gave her. He really understood how much I love my car. I sure hope I never have to get cosmetic or repair work done on my car but I know for a fact if I do, I'm calling Paul W @ Calliber Collision. Any friends or family will be referred to him. Ask for Paul W. He'll be forthright with you, he'll take great care of your prized possession. Tell him your baby's name. He'll remember it. That personal touch speaks to his professionalism and passion, dedication and commitment to his craft. 5 stars in my book.

My floor mats and car were two months old...I didn't turn them in with all those white foot prints and marks...

Took my two-month old (aka brand new) SUV with rear bumper damage to Caliber after my insurance company, Geico, highly recommended it. While I had the option of taking it to my dealer, Geico encouraged me to use Caliber because it would likely be done faster and just as well. As it turns out, my SUV was ready for pick up in about 3-4 days after dropping it off..however, when I inspected the paint I noticed a difference between the original paint and the new paint. I brought it to my adjuster's attention and he talked to Caliber to take the car back in. I didn't mind waiting longer as long as the paint matched or was unnoticeable. It was somewhat concerning that the paint difference was noticeable yet they had it parked out front ready for me to drive off in. A few more days later, I received a call that my SUV was ready for pick up. Good news--the paint job was way better on the rear bumper. It matched the original paint very well. Overall, the main issue was addressed and my car was restored...but there was another pain point because that my car was dirty when I got in. There was white dust inside as well as white footprints/dirt all over the floor mats that were pretty clean when I turned over the car. I just think they need to pay more attention to detail. Caliber's representatives are extremely customer service oriented, but the words don't matter if I have to come back twice and the car isn't clean or at least in the same condition that I turned it over in. I had to clean the interior of my car myself just so I didn't have to drive back for a THIRD time.

Car before repairs

Caliber Collision (University Research Park, Davis CA) was a pleasure to work and they did a great job. From start to finish, they made the whole process easy. Careful evaluation of exactly what would be needed to fully restore the car. Keeping me posted during the process. Getting my car back when promised despite delays for parts. Doing such a great job that it's impossible to tell the car had ever been damaged. Thanks!

Caliber, thank you thank you thank you! I ran into an off-duty police officer on a Saturday afternoon...ruh-roh. A scrunched up hood and damaged front end....ruh-roh again. After the commotion was over and I had stopped crying, I called up my trusty Geico rep to file a claim. I tried to tell the nice lady that I'd like to take my car to Service King (this isn't my first rodeo, boys and girls), but she recommends Caliber and tells me it's a Geico Auto-Xpress care center. At this point, I really didn't care - just fix my baby! She set up an appointment for me on Monday morning at 9am. BF drives my car up there with me, and they're already waiting for me. The front desk woman (Amanda?) was SO nice and made me feel super welcome there. I noticed they have a mini fridge with sodas and waters, and some snacks (yay animal crackers!) for customers. Nice touch! They have a Geico inspector on site which makes it unbelievably easy. He inspected the car and they got me a rental as Enterprise is also on site, all within 30 minutes. If that was any indication of their service I knew my car would be fixed pronto! That afternoon, my Geico dude called me with an estimate...$3500 fender bender. And do what?? You've already taken my car apart? Heck yes! And I'm not kidding you, Wednesday morning I got the call that my car was being reassembled. Yay! I picked it up on Thursday morning, and everything looked so shiny and new! Maybe because it is Nikki, duh. Everyone was so warm, welcoming and quick *again*! In less than 15 minutes, I had taken care of the rental, paid my deductible and had the keys in my hands. *Crosses fingers* IF I ever have another accident, there's no doubt I'll call Caliber again. But keep your fingers crossed for me - I need it.

Nice lobby

Any shop that offers a 10% discount in exchange for a positive review should, in my opinion, be approached with caution. My experience with this shop was far from positive. A truck that had 250,000 miles on it and was showing signs that should have raised some serious questions about a failing head gasket. Instead, I was led through a series of costly repairs that basically treated the symptoms instead of finding the actual problem. Those repairs ultimately failed within a few weeks. They also installed what I believe were cheap aftermarket parts, including the wrong front struts. When I brought it to their attention, instead of taking responsibility and replacing them, they wanted to charge me to install a lift on the rear of the truck to compensate for the front end sitting higher than the rear. WTF? Another big concern was the price and quality of the parts. When I asked about the brand of the parts they were installing, which seemed they were hesitant to reveal, I was surprised to find what appeared to be nearly a 100% markup compared with retail prices. Their invoices also don't identify the brand or manufacturer of the parts, so you really don't know what you're paying for. In my experience, the parts were marked up an unreasonable amount, especially considering the quality. Looking back, I feel like the focus was more on getting me to authorize additional repairs rather than properly figuring out what was actually wrong with the truck, knowing Id probably just cut my losses if I had been told the truth about the head gasket from the beginning. I originally brought my truck here because I was trying to avoid dealership prices. Unfortunately, when I finally took it to the dealership, that's when I learned what was actually wrong with the truck, which was in fact the head gasket and the wrong struts installed. The dealership also asked me if I had ever used a quick sealant in my engine because of the sludge they found in the radiator overflow, the radiator that auto clinique just replaced. I don't have proof, but definitely raised even more concerns about the shop practices. I was so hopeful that I had found an honest shop, but sadly, I'd have to say they are far from it. And Ray, I'm not interested in you telling me how you offer a year warranty on your parts and repairs. Thank you

Shoutout to Kwik Kar and Their Amazing Team!…read more I want to give a huge thank you to Kwik Kar and their incredible employees. Recently, I hit a pothole that bent my rim, causing me to lose air in my tire. Every two days, I had to stop by to refill it, and without hesitation, these amazing employees were always ready to help. They never complained, and without me even asking, they would have the air hose waiting for me. A special shoutout to Carlos, Clayton, Anthony, Zach, and Daphni--thank you all so much for your kindness, professionalism, and generosity. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and was told by the representative that everything had been checked and that my car was in great condition. Approximately 20 minutes after leaving the appointment, one of my tires popped. After having the vehicle inspected elsewhere, I learned that two of my tires were bald and deteriorating from the inside. This was especially concerning because I had just been assured that the vehicle had been checked and everything looked fine. A proper inspection should have identified tires in that condition, particularly when they were deteriorated enough for one to fail shortly after leaving. I also discovered that the filter that should have been addressed during the service was not changed, which raised even more questions about how thoroughly my vehicle was actually inspected. I understand that routine maintenance cannot prevent every unexpected issue, but telling a customer that their vehicle has been checked and everything is fine creates an expectation that obvious safety concerns have actually been reviewed. Driving away with two severely worn tires, only to have one pop 20 minutes later, could have resulted in a much more serious situation. This experience has left me with very little confidence in the quality and thoroughness of the service I received. I would strongly recommend that customers independently verify their vehicle's condition rather than relying solely on the inspection performed here.
