I am furious with Caliber Collision in CYPRESS. Repair work took much longer than expected (and first said when it be done ...I understand that . But there were lights on the dash were lit up that were NEVER on before-so I returned 5 minutes after driving away, and this big shot guy says, "oh, they were on when you brought car in" then shows me a copy of Diagnostic report they did after I had left the car, indicating ABS/VSC/TRAC faults...they did something to get those lights on & refused to admit it and fix it!!! I had to go to our "regular mechanic" who did diagnostic & said those lights were on after being "unplugged + wires disconnected" & so my Mechanic fixed them. I should never have driven the car away & should have insisted Caliber fix it-.... But they said it was like that-when I came in which is Bull** and a total LIE!!! My rental car had returned so I then paid $169 For my mechanic to fix these "faults" I'm complaining to my insurance company -this place is on the list they "recommend as having a lifetime warranty on their work" I am Sorry that paid them my deductible of $1,000.!! DO NOT USE THEM! read more

If you're looking for low quality work, long wait time for a repair, and an unresponsive manager then you should bring your car here. Had to bring my car here for a damaged door last year (lady hit my parked car). Caesar was great but his team's work, not so much. Replacing the driver side door of my VW took 2 weeks and when they returned my car, there was a noticeable gap between the new door and door panel. Plus the new rubber seal strip was already detached in several spots and did not match the original. I had to go back to address these concerns. Fast forward less than a year later, my car suddenly had electrical issues that caused my emergency brake to come on while at a stoplight several times and my car to react as if my door was open while driving. VW dealer determined the door harness was damaged and had to be replaced. The only work on my car, besides maintenance, that I've had done is the door + seal strip replacement done here. Given the safety issue of the e brake coming on, I had to get that fixed at VW. I reached out to the manager here soon after VW fixed it to see if I could be reimbursed for what I spent on the door harness (since CC worked on my door), and I never received a decision. The manager responded quickly when I first called about it, but after that I had to email and call at least 3 different times to get any response. In the end, she said she had to talk to the regional manager since I got my door harness fixed elsewhere but she said nothing after that. I called about 3-4 different times (over a period of a month or so) to ask if she had heard anything back and my calls were never returned. The least she could do is return my call. Take your car somewhere else. read more

Brought my vehicle in as a result of a front end collision and chose the location considering it had the highest ratings of the collision centers via State Farm. Vehicle was dropped off Mar 2 and a prospective date was set for completion. I had stated that the skid plate had sustained damage after he collision and it was held on by zip ties and was acknowledged. Initially the hood was to be bent back into shape but then a decision was made to just replace the hood. I was then called to pick up the vehicle on Mar 14 after being told that the repairs were complete. When the vehicle was brought around, a clear and visible impact on my windshield was present and I was told that the vehicle was ready to go. The skid plate on the bottom of the vehicle was no longer sagging to the ground. I had asked about the impact and was told that it was a "rock chip", to which then I said was not present when I had brought the vehicle in. We then went to review images as to confirm that the impact to my windshield was not there prior to which then service advisor Walter confirmed. I was given the option to take it home and have it repaired or to have the vehicle taken care of at the collision center, then being told that if it was completed tomorrow that the vehicle could only be held for four days. As a result, I had to cancel a shift pending the repair of the windshield since my job was out of town. I was then called on the afternoon of Mar 15 to come pick up the vehicle as the windshield had been replaced. I had asked for a copy of the invoice for the windshield as State Farm stated that any work done to my vehicle would be warrantied and was told "This one is on the house" and that no invoice would be available. A month after and I go to do maintenance on the vehicle and find that instead of fixing the skid plate, a screw was drilled from the plate and into the underside of my vehicle to keep it from sagging instead of being fixed correctly. I wish I had a more positive experience. TLDR: repairs were delayed, windshield received a hit while in repairs, was not given any documentation on the windshield, damage to the underside was addressed using a screw and retained by zip ties read more

Don't ever take your car here for repairs. My brother lives with us and took his car here repairs when his car was hit in a parking lot. When the repairs were finished my husband went to go and pay for the repairs on our credit card and we were told NO. Because our name was not on the title. My husband showed up with the actual title to the vehicle. OUR insurance card with OUR names on it that included the repaired vehicle AND the VIN and the car is registered to OUR address and they still would not allow us to pay for it!!!!! But they had NO problem taking cash or a cashiers check!!!! What an absolute scam!!!! Made my husband take 4 kids to the bank to get a cashiers check. HORRIBLE customer service!!!! I went to Caliber for a quote to replace damaged parts on the front bumber of a Ford Edge. The work consisted of removal and replacement of a plastic Bumper Grill and Bumper cover, niether with any electrics on them. The quote was $1274. Parts were $402, which if bought from a Parts outlet would be less than $250. A charge of $250 was made for Dynamic Calibration of bumper sensors for active Parking assist, which is not function of this vehicle, when asked about this and pointed out that calibration of the sensors/proximities was not required they stated that it was needed for cruise control. These sensors do not need calibration, they are plug and play and if they needed to be unpluged during the replacement for the bumper parts they would work when plugged back in without any calibration, I doubt Ford have any calibration procedure. A charge of $80 was listed for a Pre Scan and Post Scan basically plugging into the data port and reading any faults, why i should get charged for that I have no idea, you get it free from any Parts store if you have a check engine light on. Labor for paint was listed, 1.5 hours and the same charge for paint which in reality was not required. The quote shows an unrealistic approach to quoting for a small job that required minimal expertise as everything is bolted. It appears that they want to deal with major jobs and maybe overpricing is their way to disuade small jobs, they said the car would be in the shop for 2 days even if the labor for removing and fitting the parts was 4.6 hours and 1.5 hours for painting if it was done. Realistic cost for this should have been in the $500-600 range, or I get the parts and spend a Saturday moning doing it read more

Caliber Collision is by far the worst repair shop I have been to. The work is subpar, the employees are uneducated minimum wage workers who are both ignorant and incompetent. I wasn't very good with what was required of me as the accident was not severe but scared me. Caliber Collison talked me through what was going to happen and what was happening next. I would give zero stars if possible. I dropped my vehicle off to be fixed, and my insurance company gave me a rental for the day. Caliber allows you to leave your rental there when you pick up your vehicle.......I would never do that here. The only thing available at the rental was a truck, so I used it. I took the truck back home to my house, and then made one stop on my way back to Caliber. I parked the truck away from everyone else, and left it just like it was when I got it. I took my vehicle and went home. The next morning the rental car company called and said when they picked up the truck it had a flat tire and a damaged bumper. Caliber employees were the only ones with the keys, so it's my guess one of them used the truck to move something and damaged the bumper backing into it. I will never use Caliber again. read more

My first visit something happened where the lady that checked me in left Caliber Collision, and my appointment was lost in the system. I ended up going elsewhere for my Truck repair. My second was for my wife's car and they did an excellent job with no problems. It was fast, courteous, and great quality work. Recently I took my wife's car back due to damage that occured at Tomball Dodge when we took the vehicle in for an oil change. Caliber Collision did a GREAT job this time as well. I fount that this shops General Manager/Director and their staff were very interested in helping the customer and doing the best work possible. Management was very concerned with customer service and making sure their customers are very happy. Jason, the manager, took great care of my car from the start and proactively kept me posted on the progress. He went out of his way to ensure the work was done to my full satisfaction and also came to drop the car back home as I had to leave on an urgent out of country trip. Jason has been cordial, attentive and informative during the whole process. There was a noise that came after the fixes were done for which he spent considerable time to find the root cause and take care of it. He gave me his cell so I could reach him via SMS as I was traveling and was very prompt in his replies. While this car was in shop, someone hit my other car from behind and I received a very reasonable quote from Calliber which matched another quote from a different provider. I got in an accident on 3/1/18 and Statefarm sent me a list of repair shops I could send my car to so I chose This one because of its location. I called and spoke to a really great front desk associate who called me within five minutes of my claim being sent to their office. When I got there, Walter took a look at my car and gave me a five day estimate of how long it would take to get my car fixed. Before even finishing our conversation, someone from either the office or Statefarm had already set up a driver to take me to get my rental which was such a stress free process. I got my car today 3/5/18 and I am beyond pleased with their professionalism and text updates on the status of my repair. Walter was so great with letting me know the estimated cost of my repair, letting me know what Statefarm was doing with my claim and overall just keeping me updated. When my car was ready, I immediately noticed it was fixed AND cleaned inside and out including being waxed. He hooked a scam tool to my car to check for any computer errors before giving me my keys which was nice for reassurance. I definitely recommend this place! Dropped off vehicle and the service advisor was friendly enough. Went over everything and went on my way. He did a good job of keeping me updated via email as to the status of the repairs. There were some problems along the way, but nothing major. We were not in a rental car so we didn't mind that the painter didn't show up one day or that a piece had to be redone. When we picked up the vehicle, that is when things went down hill. When they pulled it up, I saw that it was missing one of the hubcaps. I'm not sure how that was overlooked, but thankfully they were able to go back and find it. If it hadn't been found, they do document all damage and take pictures before hand so hopefully that would have been proof to dispute the claim if it came to that. The interior where the work had taken place was dirty. Nothing major, but to the extent that it was frustrating that someone didn't take 5 minutes and fix it prior to delivering it. There was some adhesive residue on the interior door panel as well as dark smudges on the seat and headliner. They cleaned up the adhesive, but even when they brought it back around again now there was excess cleaner still on the panel. Had to reattach a small trim piece on the interior portion of the door that I didn't notice until I got home. The rear door which took some damage during the accident has a cladding piece that has a chrome insert and the rear quarter panel also has a cladding piece. The original estimate was to replace both but looking at the completed invoice, it seems that they just refinished them (probably 'no longer available' from Ford since the vehicle has been out of production since 2005). Looks pretty good, but they seemed to have used a generic 'cut to fit' chrome molding that isn't as thick as the ones on the other doors. Most people wouldn't notice it, but still, it's there. Overall, it looks pretty good and for an 11 year old SUV, it will do. I just wish that the quality control was significantly better. The service advisor said that he did a quality control inspection prior to delivery and found the issue with a piece of trim that had been burned during buffing... that's great and I'm glad that they addressed it, but how did the hubcap, the smudges in the interior, the leftover adhesive material, and the unattached trim piece go unnoticed? Would I use them again? Probably because they are close to the house and the communication was great from the service advisor. During pickup though, I would kick into OCD overdrive and go over the vehicle with a fine tooth comb so that everything can be addressed immediately. read more

After having a dead battery, my check light came on. Being anxious as I have limited car knowledge, I pulled off 290 into Caliber Collision, explained to Michael Hernandez my concern. He said they are Collison shop, but he would run a diagnostic test to see if there was any immediate problems that needed fast attention. He took the time to run the test and was so courteous to me. I told Michael that I hope I never need collision repair, but if I should, I will take my car to Caliber Collision. I appreciate his professionalism and him going out of his way to assure me that my car was not in immediate need of servicing. If you value your life or your money, find another company. I have had to have their repairs fixed twice. The second time I learned that Caliber recycled airbag sensors from the original wreck by splicing them into the new equipment. I was told the airbags would NOT likely deploy if I was hit in those areas. Forty thousand miles driven without airbags? No value with Caliber Collision! read more

Just had a fender and door repaired on my car at Caliber Collision in Cypress. It was excellent work plus the paint job was great! In addition it is guaranteed for the life of the car. The staff was so courteous and helpful with unloading the "Stuff" from my car to the rental and the same when transferring it back. After deciding to go with insurance, I decided to drop my car off here to have repairs. Dropped my car off on Wednesday to be fixed & was promised it would be done on Tuesday. Got a call today (Friday) that it was already done, and it looks beautiful. Very satisfied with the customer service from drop off to pick up! Definitely made being without my car worth it.
