Unfortunately, ive had to take my vehicle in here a few too many times. This place was recommended by my insurance, and I did my diligence on it before I went to it. A lot of the reviews and complaints I found were pretty bad, but were fairly old, located in other states, and were from before this company was run primarily by AAA. I was a little leery at first, but gave this location a try. My experience here has always been really good. Cody, my "account manager", is really friendly, and really helpful, and took care of everything for me. I lived a little far from here, but each time I came in, I was always offered a ride home, which made things a lot easier for me to do, as my wife and I were working somewhat different schedules. I had 2 minor issues after the repairs, and each time, Caliber fixed the issue without any complaint. Like their agreement says, they do seem to stand behind their work, and will correct any mistakes that may have been made, or issues that creep up later as a result of their repairs. Hopefully no one else hits my poor car, but if they do, I will come here first without question. My detailer noticed last year that the bondo used in the repair of one of my side panels was bubbling, and causing the paint to look like a "matte" finish instead of a gloss..... At first, I couldnt see what he was talking about, but it has gotten a little worse, and I can tell now. I need to come in and see if they will fix it for me, but I have been super busy, and my schedule hasn't allowed it. I will update this review when I bring it in, as I am sure they will take care of it no problem. read more

My car looks amazing! Honestly I would never take my car anywhere else! So I had been in an accident before and taken it to a repair shop and they took way longer than they said they would take and there were still things wrong with my car when I picked it up! So I took my car to this place and they fixed my dent and also fixed the previous mistakes the last guys made on my car! They cleaned it all up (even the inside) and made sure it was all sparkly clean for pick up. They told me when it would be done when I dropped it off and it was done exactly at that time! So amazing! They then called me the same afternoon to give me an update on my car and I felt like I was in the loop at all times. Calibers Collision's Pomona, Costa Mesa location is the top-notch body shop you'll find in Orange county. My two month brand new RV4 was in an accident. Caliber was one of the body shops my insurance company Farmers contracted for the clients to choose for their car repairing. I never had experience with Caliber before the accident but from now on, it will be my only choice to go to when my car needs body work again (hopefully, it's never!) People there are so professional and caring for their customers. The person who handled my case was James, the minute I walked in, he showed the best customer service anyone could expect. He was detailed, very professional, and supportive. He demonstrated Caliber's lifetime warrantee policy to assure that my car is in a good hand and he kept every word he said. When I went to pick up my car, I couldn't tell the difference and the car looked like as was never been in an accident. However, I must say I am a dummy when it is down to parts of a car, cosmetic wise the car looked perfect as it were brand new just like before. I won't be able to tell if the condition was the same functionality wise, I had no idea how the car will behave when it is back on the road again. James even encouraged me to take my car for an inspection at my dealership (I am still in the complementary service period with the dealership as there is barely any mileage in that RV4)and if they found anything wrong , caliber will take it back and fix any potential problems for free. The shop also listed every single details where and how they worked on the car. They tested the car many times to make sure the original condition was restored. Now I have been driving the car for a while and I do not feel anything wrong with it while on the road. I really don't think I should have any reason to doubt them and my next complementary service is coming up very soon, by then I'll have it inspected to see if the condition of the car is completely restored. But I am pretty confident that the car will pass the inspection. Whoever is looking for a legitimate body shop and happens to read my review, if your car needs body work let Caliber handles it for you, you will leave the shop with great satisfaction. Also note I have never wrote a review this long, honestly, I am quite picky when write review for services, but I am taking my time to write every details of my car's repairing process because I think the people in Caliber who worked on my car definitely deserves the recognition. When I think of 'going out of the way to help' and 'doing the right thing when nobody is looking' I think of Caliber, Pomona Costa Mesa. From my recent experience I found this body shop to lack basic intelligence and professionalism. As I sat in their waiting room over hearing their interoffice conversations were offensive. Finally getting my car appraised was a challenge and then it was obvious that they lacked basic knowledge and integriry. They never did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. I was forced to speak with the manager. After days of geting her on the phone it was crystal why the shop was the way it was. After many days and many excuses I was forced to move my car to another body shop who completes the work on time on budget and hassel free with honesty and integrity. So - obviously getting in an accident is less than ideal.. Having a decent repair shop was all I was hoping for. I received SO much more than decent. I dropped my car off at Caliber Collision on Pomona and to start - James. This dude's smile and customer service, out the gate, will immediately lessen the pain of having to get repairs done. He is one of the most friendly people that I've ever seen at a collision shop. I was expecting someone who rushed around, didn't really care that I was there... Just getting the job done. He stopped, spoke to me like a human being, and treated me with great care and concern. He was prompt about all of my repair updates, he was super courteous, and beyond the level of efficiency I would've needed or that I had expected. Next - the body work - perfect. And the detailing that happen after my rear bumper was fixed was above and beyond what I expected. I have a little blonde dog that sheds like he's balding; the effort that went into the detailing of my car was above and beyond. Washed, dried, and vacuumed - straight up VIP feeling over here. I'm super grateful for everyone that was a part of my repair. Like I said, it's painful having to wait for your car to get fixed.. But this location was super quick, they were able to put me in a rental car without issue, they were great at communicating with the insurance company I was dealing with (taking much stress off me) and overall, delivered above and beyond service. Make sure to look them up - the location is easy to get to from anywhere in Costa Mesa (and the surrounding areas) and Enterprise (should you need a rental) is right up there road. My husband owned a body shop in Huntington Beach for 30 years so I am familiar with the business and I can't say enough about Caliber Collision. My daughter as a new driver had a fender bender in a parking lot so it was minor but still dramatic for her. They were so nice and patient with her questions. Very disappointed. I went in for an estimate on some front end damage repair, (blown out tires left on the freeway are very dangerous). When I got there the person I was suppose to meet with assisted me, but I was told someone else would be writing up the estimate (they weren't sure where he was for past 2 hours though). I was assured that the pictures taken of the visible damage would be enough for the estimate (without looking under the hood which had obvious damage?) really? I got the run around for 4 days (no estimate). Finally after several phone calls and much frustration I was emailed an estimate. It came in $6 over my high deductible, along with a note stating that any additional repairs would be charged to the insurance after they started the work (the estimate didn't even include the broken headlight cover, an obvious repair need since half of it was missing). After getting a legitimate estimate from another shop, and being shown the true damage to my car... Well, Needless to say, I will not be trusting the repair and safety of my family to this Calibur location. read more

I had the unfortunate experience of ramming into a rolling tire on the freeway which ended up smashing into the front of my car, cracking the bumper in the process. My insurance company suggested Caliber Collision, one of their preferred repair shops. I decided to give it a try and headed down there for an estimate. I met the repair estimator, John, who responded swiftly and estimated the damages very accurately. He was very friendly and eager to answer all my questions/concerns. The car was in and out of the shop same day (bumper replacement + repaint), which was very convenient, not having to drive around in a rental car. I was worried about the paint/fitment, but the paint came out a perfect match and the fitment was spot on, no gaps anywhere. If you're looking for a place to bring your car back to OEM spec as it came from the factory, I'd highly consider Caliber Collision. read more

Caliber Collisions was WONDERFUL! I was rear ended and I took my Toyota Sequoia to them to fix my rear bumper area. They were able to get my car in quickly and had it completed in 3 days. I'm getting to this review a little late, my repair was done a month ago, but I was asked to write a review from a business where I had a great experience and it reminded me of this review I had meant to write. While the work on my car was fine, the customer service I received was definitely not. You're assigned a "rep" based on what insurance you have so I felt like I didn't have the option to ask for someone else. The person I was assigned told me he would call me with updates 3 times. How many times did he actually call? None. So I ended up making 3 phone calls to see if my car was going to be done when he said it would be. Not only was there always another reason why my car wasn't done, he never once acknowledged that he hadn't called like he said he would. There were also some other minor issues, like my rep didn't seem to know how to wear his pants, they always appeared to need to be pulled up. Also, the parking lot is horrible, you should definitely get there early in the morning before there are too many people. One positive was the woman working the front desk and phones, she was always super sweet and helpful. I also had a couple of short interactions with Nick, wished I could've had him as my "rep". He treated me better as a customer and I wasn't even his client. He greeted me in a very friendly manner and made comfortable small talk, even though he had no idea who I was. I have had a more postive experience at another Caliber Collisions so I will probably use them again if needed, but I will choose a different location. read more

So first of all, I have to say that the quality of work they did on my Subaru, which was nearly totaled, was very good. I've been happy with the repairs. But the quality of customer service was terrible. All I can say is don't expect them to give you any unsolicited updates on the status of your vehicle and don't expect them to return your calls. If you want to talk to someone and they're not available, plan on calling back repeatedly until you nail them down. Some things have not happened in a timely manner and the lack of communication has been frustrating. But again, the quality of the repairs was good and in the end that's what mattered most. read more

My car hood was vandalized and USAA suggested Caliber Collision. They were GREAT! They gave me an estimate that day and I got to schedule a convenient time for me to drop it off. They said it might take up to three days to complete and they got it done it two days. I couldn't pick up my car Friday evening (they are closed on the weekends). Nick Thornburn, their insurance specialist, said that he needed to get some paper work done on the weekend and said I could pick it up on Saturday even though the shop is closed. The best part is they fixed another dent on my fender that was not part of the estimate for FREE. I didn't ask for this but they noticed it and decided to fix it while they were fixing my hood. My insurance company and now I do not recommend this shop. They charged us for realignment work that they did not complete. I have to buy new tires and take the car to another shop for realignment. After repair the window was not closing but they did not want to come to fix it and I had to take it to MB dealer to get it fixed.
