My 2022 Lexus was "injured" in an accident. I was referred to Caliber Collision at 14000 Willard Rd, Chantilly, Va. The service technician (Rafek) was excellent from the very start. He assured me my vehicle would be repaired to pre-damage condition with a lifetime guarantee on the repairs. Throughout the process Rafek updated me by phone and text several times on the repair status! He was absolutely amazing to work with! When I received the call from Laura (who is always a joy to speak with), I was thrilled to see my vehicle! Rafek said my Lexus would be repaired to pre-damage condition and he is a man of his word!! it looks great! I must also mention the technicians behind the scenes working diligently to ensure the quality of their work is represented in the final product! The garage/work stations is where the magic really happens! and they should be recognized! I don't plan on revisiting Calibers amazing individuals but if I do, I feel very confident my vehicle will be well received and cared for! It took 23 days to get my car back for one thing. When I finally got it back, there was still a streak of black paint from the black vehicle that sideswiped me still on my car!!! I was directed to caliber collision by insurance, as it's a one stop shop of sorts for Geico. Given my experience, I would certainly appreciate coming to caliber even if it was on my own dime, given their quick service! I dropped my car off for some repairs to the bumper on Monday, and was told by insurance later that day that I would likely have to wait two weeks--flash to my surprise on Wednesday, two days later, when I got a call from Caliber telling me my car was ready for pick-up! The work was pristine, with a like new bumper, and the staff were extremely friendly overall. A great experience! read more

Really feel that being forced to give one star is too generous. Caliber's marketing folks responded to my initial review noting the reinstallation of broken parts with boilerplate language asking me to contact them directly. I did so. I received one follow-up email asking for the address of the specific location that failed to perform the necessary repairs, which I responded to on the same day. I had already provided the invoice number. It has now been 8 business days and I have not heard back despite sending them a follow-up email. As you can see from some of the other reviews, this is pattern behavior. Their expressions of concern were as meaningless as their work was shoddy. read more

First of all, Caliber Collision's Better Business Bureau rating was REVOKED this past June (2023) for terrible behaviors against customers. To put it in perspective, Amazon has maintained a B+ rating with the Better Business Bureau since 8/1/1996. Your company has to be a special kind of horrific to have their Better Business Bureau rating revoked! Think about that. Juan, the manager, was very very very very rude to me. He talked over me while I was trying to explain what was wrong with my car. And he walked away while I was in midsentence and told me to get out and take my car with me. And he mumbled the N word under his breath. I can't believe this is the way Juan, the manager, treats people. I thought I was the only one, but according to other one star reviews here, he does this behavior to other people too. It's his MO. I guess Caliber Collision doesn't mind continuing to employ him. Caliber Collision returned my car to me in worse shape than I gave it to them. Shame on Juan, the manager, and shame on them. Recently had Subaru outback front bumper cover replaced there and I am not happy with the quality of the work. Bumper cover does not fit correctly and it has huge gaps around the headlights, grill and other areas where it meets other trims. I haven't gone back to show them the areas I am unhappy about yet and I doubt they'll replace it with another one that fits correctly. We'll see. read more

A downed tree limb caused $6k of damage to our Mercedes SUV at a time when the end of lease was only 4 weeks away. Caliber managed the repair closely and it was nothing short of perfect. When we turned the car in, the dealership was amazed there had been any damage (I told them so the next owner wouldn't wash the paint for 3 weeks). Highly recommended. I almost died they made my car worse. Don't let this branch work on your car if you value your life and the lives of others. Didnt even care to write a review however the michanics at BMW keep finding lazy work done by Caliber Collision and honestly its rediculious how horrible the service here was. My biggest issue was that they didn't safely reassemble my car. My rear bumper started falling off because they took the screws out of it and used them to install my new replacement front bumper. They also didt fix my cars alignment or put the tires back on the right way so my tire tred had extremely irregular wear and I had a tire explode on the High way at 65mph I could have died and killed others with me. These people are not cool. They're not your friend theyre just trying to push your car in and out as fast as possible while cashing in on your insurance. Insurance companies should not endorse this shop. Holly was a horrible service rep she should be fired if she hasn't been already. All she ever did was lie (flip flop on her word) about everything to me and her coworkers she seriously made everything 20x more frustrating and harder intentionally. Had to get the District GM involved - It really got bad all over installing a grill of all things. read more

I took my car to Caliber Collision after it was rear-ended as I was waiting to make a right turn. They offered me a selection of times to present my car for repairs which was very convenient. The personnel were helpful, pleasant, and polite. They kept me informed of the progress of the repairs and even managed to speed up the process so that my vehicle could be returned to me the day before Thanksgiving rather than the day after - - thus saving me money on a replacement vehicle rental. As to cost, save for a deductible of $300, the repairs were paid for by my insurance company. In addition to the repairs, my car was thoroughly cleaned inside and out on its return. I was thoroughly satisfied with the service and would gladly recommend this facility. read more

I was in a minor accident at the end of September. Caliber works with my insurance company and it was close to where I live so I picked the Arlington location. First they didn't call me. My insurance company said they had contacted the office, nothing happened. I called the insurance company back to check and only then did someone from Caliber call me. Then I had a 2 week wait just to get an appointment to get an estimate which wasn't great, but the damage to the car was just some scratches and a small hole. When I got the estimate I asked for the amount to repair some other scratches not related to the accident, figuring while the car was being repaired and I had the rental car through my insurance, might as well get it all done. They gave me the total and I said "Ok let's do those repairs too." I walked out with both sets of papers, one for the accident repair, one for the additional work. Another couple weeks later, I dropped the car off and nobody at Caliber indicated there was any confusion, so off I went in my rental car. They kept calling my home number to leave messages about the status of the car, despite having my cell. I got worthless text messages that included no information and finally forwarded my home phone calls just so I could actually speak to the "customer service" guy. He initially told me he doubted it would take the entire 11 days they said but of course, each day had a fresh excuse as to why the car wasn't ready yet. So today I go pick the car up and I knew something was wrong when the inattentive woman at the desk didn't charge me for anything. They hadn't done any of the additional repairs! Only the place where the accident occurred had any work done, the scratches on the rest of the car weren't touched. And they had the nerve to try to blame me! "Well when you brought the car in I didn't talk to you or go look at the car." "You never said anything when you dropped the car off." I got an estimate FROM YOU! When you looked at the job order how did you miss that information for 11 damn days? Nobody thought it strange to not fix the really obvious scratches on the car at any point, or maybe double check the file or ask me? The kicker is in the photo. I was furious and walked out of there and drove home. I tried to put my water bottle into the cupholder and one of those dental pick things is sitting down there. That is NOT mine, I don't use those things. Which means some employee of theirs left it there. I pray to God it wasn't used, but I'll be sterilizing the entire interior of my car anyway. It's mind blowing that a company fails to do work someone was perfectly happy to pay for and then tries to make the customer feel like its their fault they screwed up. I'll be letting my insurance company know about this, not that I expect it'll make a difference. read more

I had 2 accidents within 2 months and had work done with them both times. Both times I was amazed with the job they did because I mean EVERYTHING was on point. Yes, it was the same drivers side for both accidents, but they fixed it right up and I was back on the road in no time. The staff was AMAZING!! I really wanted to give this place 5 stars! They were on top of their work and so nice. They got my car done early, however, it was clear that they rushed as they didn't put my car back together the right way. The wheel wasn't on as it should have been and made the BMW cap come off and the dude was like "Oh well your front one was off." I never said anything about the front, I said the back! Rude! Anyway the manager ordered me some. I haven't gone back to get them because I don't feel like driving all the way out to Arlington from DC. Recently I had to take my car into the BMW service department to get oil changed, top wasn't coming down, etc. And guess where they found a bunch of water? That was causing my top to not work...right where they did work. They asked if I had work done on that side of the car where the window wasn't coming down and the top wasn't working, I said yes and that I took my car here and they straight up told me this place didn't do their job. I will be disputing any charge I have with this company and I will never bring my car here again. This place sucks. read more

My car was taken to this Caliber Collision through Landmark Honda to repair some paint that was going bad on the roof and the trunk. This repair took two weeks as opposed to the few days it was supposed to take, but since both Caliber and Landmark Honda blamed each other, I am restricting my review to the quality of the work. In short, this was a bad paint job. There is debris in the paint, including a big chunk on the roof, and the color match isn't very good. The paint also doesn't seem to be as smooth as better paint jobs I've had in the past. Finally, it looks like whatever they used to tape off the rest of the car that wasn't being painted removed some of the patina from the paint and there are scratches around these areas. I am really upset because the point of getting this work done was to repair the paint problems, and now there are new problems due to the awful work! Additionally, during this process, Caliber broke my windshield and tried the old, "We don't know if it was broken when it came in" line. It, of course, was not broken when it came in. If I was dealing directly with Caliber Collision, I would not have accepted this work. Even with Honda paying for half, I am not happy and would rather have paid full price myself and gone elsewhere. There is no excuse for such a shoddy and rushed job and no reputable business should be giving customers back their cars in this condition. read more

Had to take my car in for a repair after a small accident and was provided their name by my insurance company. From when the initial call was made and my car went into the shop, it was only a week or so. Once they had my car, they communicated with me very frequently about the status of my car and any changes to the schedule. I knew exactly when my car would be done and what work they had to do to it. When I picked up my car, an employee escorted me outside and made sure I was happy with all the work provided!! I was referred to Caliber by my insurance company. They are very friendly and always answer their telephones -- already better than I expect of any automotive service shop. They set an appointment for me to bring my vehicle, and they processed me promptly when I arrived. I had minor damages to be repaired, and I would have thought it might take a week to 10 days. It ended up being two weeks, which is not terrible. Though communication on completion date was not great, and I had to press them about it, as by the end I was leaving for vacation and needed to return my temporary rental vehicle. I am very pleased with the repair work and cannot tell in any way that there was ever damage. One setback was that they apparently hadn't protected the driver's seat and door while working and moving the car, so there were some grease stains on the seat and the inside of the door. I pointed it out when I came for pickup, and a technician attempted to do a quick cleanup, but that didn't solve the issue. Since I was leaving the following day for vacation, I had to return a couple of weeks later, at which point they quickly cleaned it up. All-in-all, I am very satisfied, and I likely would come back (though I hope not to need their work.) read more

Needed to get a relatively large repair job done where the right side doors and front panel needed replacement and painting. The result of the repair was fine, no problem there as far as I can tell. The speed of the repair was also good, taking about 2-3 weeks which was about what I expected. The first issue that I had was communication. I am familiar with Caliber Collision's communication policy, where they send updates by text on the progress of the repair. I received the initial text, which confirms that they had my number, and then never received another text until after I picked up my car. Any time I wanted an update on my vehicle's repair status, I had to call them myself. When I went to pick it up, I was given an apology where I was told that they had the wrong number on file for me. How is it then that they sent me the initial text message that told me that they'd be sending me updates? In addition, they specifically go over your contact information with you when you first drop off your vehicle. Anyway, I had a similar experience with a different Caliber Collision, so my expectations here weren't very high in the first place. The second issue that I had was that my vehicle had a couple of problems even after I got it back. First, I got an airbag warning every time I started my car, caused by some issue with resetting the monitoring system after the repairs were done. Second, wind would somehow be getting into my car whenever I drove. The faster I drove, the more it felt like I was sitting in a wind tunnel. This was due to an improper seal on the passenger side door that was replaced. Both of these issues were fixed when I brought my vehicle back in. I will say that my review could have been much worse. What saves this location a couple of stars is the mechanic that worked on my car. While I was driving it back to get it fixed, I noticed an additional issue where my AC wasn't cooling properly. Upon inspection, the cause was apparently due to a lack of refrigerant, potentially signaling a leak somewhere. This issue was NOT due to the work this location did on my vehicle - it was actually a result of the work a DIFFERENT Caliber Collision did from a separate repair. Originally, I was advised to take it back to the other location (Falls Church branch) to get the mechanic that worked on it there to fix the issue. However, the mechanic here volunteered to fix it for me on the spot in exchange for just a bit more of my time. Ultimately, he saved me a huge amount of time that I would otherwise have had to spend setting up another appointment with the other location and bringing my car. I unfortunately didn't get my mechanic's name, but I definitely wanted to highlight his exemplary attitude towards customer service. read more

Hopefully they did a good job repairing my car. However, it was returned with paint leftovers all over the car. They tried to remove it with no luck. And while doing that, scratched the car. I can go to manager and see what my options are (there was no manager on site upon the car pick-up and it was a weekend ahead, I was advised to come back on Monday). But should I remind how inconvenient it is to waste time, find another car to drive, and still to be functional for work and for the kids. Such a pain in the neck. And the customer service is restricted by "Hello" and "Have a good day". No updates. And if you are trying to point at the new scratches and stains, they will not admit it was their fault. The best part was vacuuming the car's interior. Update: new paint on the bumper is bubbling after a week from the service... read more

Can't say enough good things about Joey and the management team over here. My car failed a safety inspection because the headlight alignment was off - my bad as during a DIY bulb replacement I pulled too hard and broke a fastening clip (nevermind that it passed the year before in the same condition, though). Two shops told me it was broken and the only solution was to replace the entire headlamp assembly. I called Caliber because the next door location did a great job on an insurance repair. Joey told me replacing the entire headlamp - OEM (from a salvage yard, which is fine on my 2008 Pontiac) would be $380. About what I expected if not a little under. I told him to go ahead and order the part and let's do the repair, and he asked me to again tell him about the safety inspection. Upon going into more detail he said "ok let's hold on for a minute, we might be able to repair this without replacing the part. Can you bring it by in 10 minutes?" I drove down and he met me right away, I showed him what was going on and he was confident it could be fixed. He asked his manager what the cost would be and the manager said they'd repair it as a courtesy "as long as I kept them in mind next time I needed body work" - DEAL! I was there for under 30 minutes total and they fixed the thing for free! The repair was a bit more difficult than they thought since one component was, in fact, broken, but they found a solution to fix it and it passed the safety inspection. I was involved in a minor accident (not my fault) and the other driver's insurance is associated with this shop. I had an excellent experience from start to finish. Employees were friendly, helpful, and communicative throughout the process (appreciated getting text updates regarding the status of my repair). When my car was returned (looking like the accident had never happened!) the inside had been wiped down as well, which was a very nice surprise. Overall, this shop made an otherwise stressful experience pain-free, which was greatly appreciated! My only complaint (not significant enough to make this a non 5 star review) is the amount of time it took to A) get in for the initial estimate and B) actually get the car fixed. From the time of the accident, it took several weeks to get an appointment for an estimate, and after the estimate, I had to wait a month for them to take my car in for repair. I know the fact that they're busy is a good sign, but I did have to drive around with a pretty significant scratch on my car for a couple months. Although I hope to not need any more body work on my car - if I do, I'd absolutely return here! read more
