We have had a membership with this location since it opened. We have watched the quality of the washing decline steadily for several months now. There are times when the brushes are barely touching the car and the one set at the end just drags over the car, not even touching in some places. The back of the car in particular is often as dirty when it comes out as it was when it went it. This seamed to be a very good thing at the beginning, not so much anymore. read more

At the beach. Went through the state park which is gravel roads. Had sand all over the side rails so went through the car wash. Paid for the most expensive one they had. Pulled up to vacuum it and saw all the sand still on the rails. I asked the manager if we could go back through again since it missed most of the sand and he refused. He said we should have "self removed it first" & it would be full price if I wanted to go through again. Mind you if we had given our email for the sign up we would have had unlimited for the month. Glad we don't do that because even with unlimited washes it was piss poor and customer service was ridiculous. Also - no towels or anything to wipe the windows or anything after parking. Just cleaner and a vacuum. Can't really use cleaner without something to wipe with. Will never be back. read more

So, when we discovered Caliber Car Wash was literally around the corner from our hotel - off we went to rectify the problem. They have three price levels, and all we needed was the $12 basic. The friendly guy who set us up asked if we wanted to upgrade to the middle option for just $3 more, and when we declined, he didn't push things any further. He was a very cool friendly guy and I enjoyed kibbitzing back and forth with him. The was turned out to be excellent, I mean really -the car looked great. Started out great when they opened and then...... I was a monthly user and the price jumped more than I was told it would be...and to top it off, a service charge of $3 extra dollars a month! Customer service people are very helpful. They help to get my truck on the track to get washed. If I need help about how something works they are very informative. I like the vacuum and the sprayer that gets the sand out of hard to reach places is awesome! The sales of plans for car wash is good. I've been going there for years and never had any problems. The employees are kind. Great customer service. The Facility is always maintained and clean. If I'm not sure how something works there is someone that could be of help. read more

For $30 the wash should clean your vehicle. We had to scrub my van after more than we should have had too. The tire shine only got on the left side of my van and none on my right side. We told the gentleman we were disappointed and wanted our money back but we were told they couldn't do that. Will not waste our time or money there again! read more

Bottom Line: A good automatic car wash and friendly employees. I typically don't take my car through an automatic car wash but after being blasted with salt air for several days due to a storm off shore my car was in desperate need of a bath. My car had just been detailed a few weeks prior so I was primarily just looking to get the salt spray off of it. I drove up to the screen where you place your order and pay for what kind of car wash you want. I was pleasely surprised that an employee greeted me and walked me through the options. He was very welcoming and helpful. And much to my surprise, the screen didn't even prompt me to tip him. I seriously can't remember the last time I went anywhere, even to the self serve yogurt place, where I wasn't asked to tip. Anyway, my car came out mostly clean. I feel like the side view mirrors were missed a bit but overall it accomplished what I needed it to. I still won't be a regular at any automatic car wash but I appreciated being able to get a good rinse while on vacation. read more

Picked the top wash option but was disappointed. Since they didn't pre-treat my vehicle in any way before it entered the automated wash (like the competitor does), the bugs DID NOT come off the front of the car. Ugh! I did like the included vacuum stations and the towels/cleaning products provided but will not be back. read more

Went to this car wash while i was on vacation. Their equipment malfunctioned and damaged my truck. They will not respond to my emails, text messages, phone calls. They will go on the comment side and tell you to send them an email. You do and they still do not respond. Save yourself the chance of your car being damaged. Dont use that car wash. read more

I took advantage of the $10.00 promo offer as a chance to decide if I wanted to become a member. Went in maybe 4 times during the promo month and decided not to join. The next month my husband looked on our charge card bill and Caliber had charged our charge card $39.99, which it says will be a reoccurring monthly charge! I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THIS CHARGE!!! I have reached out 6 or 7 times to the KDH location, and on one of those calls the lady who answered the phone, apologized and said she'd refund the $39.99 to our account, that's been almost 3 weeks ago. Best car wash on the beach! I work in Rodanthe and my car is always salt water and sand blasted. Using Caliber, it comes out like it's been hand washed. Well worth the drive from Manns Harbor. I highly recommend the monthly subscription as well. read more

I went to this car wash in March 2024 and it did damage to my truck and they told me to get an estimate and it would be taken care of. After I sent them the estimate I didn't hear anything back from them. I sent in a review and got the same message everyone else is getting from them. They ask you to send an email and then they won't get back with you. It is now June 2024 and still nothing. I wish there was someway I could get in touch with other people who has had the same problem and file a class action law suite against them and make them pay for these damages. Took my Toyota Sienna there before we returned to Canada. One of the brushes ripped the rear bumper off and an employee shut down the machine down quickly. I had to drive out manually with it dragging. The manager checked the video and comfirmed what happened and offered to have it repaired quickly so we could go back to Canada the next day. I was able to fasten it my self before we left. He indicated repairs would be covered and to submit two estimates.I have just sent them in so now we wait. love this place!!! took my jeep and it was BAD!!!!! lots of mud and sand from looking for bears and wolves in the wildlife refuge. the gentleman kindly told us there was a possibility it might not all come clean the first time and offered us a second go for free! The first trip in and it got us all but the running boards 2nd time got everything!!! Will definitely be using this car wash ever trip we come down!!! read more

I called and canceled my membership in Nov of 2023 after a car wash left damage to my vehicle. Caliber has continued to charge me full membership fees after cancelation for 2 months. I received no apology when I called the store seeking a refund on these additional charges. I was coarsely directed to email an accounts payable within Caliber. I had to ask them to double check their system to see if my account was in fact canceled and it was. Showing the disorganization of this business and their willingness to take money for services that had been terminated. There is no email address listed on the website for an accounts payable department that I can find. No phone number listed for a customer service department that I can find. Poor business practices and customer service feel like I walked into a scam. Not to mention the hoops I will have to jump through to get my hard earned money returned. I will be leaving additional reviews tracking this process so other potential customers can see what they are getting into if they make the mistake of signing up for a membership plan. read more
