Hey it's fast food that's fast and tasty! It's a mound pound of food. I'd take this over some kind of golden arches or some royal meat about day. My only nit pick is nothing to do with the food, but the seating areas could be better optimized to accommodate even more people. Those stools just aren't the most comfy. read more

Kinda like a Chipotle or Qdoba, but it is cleaner and more personal to the customers Burrito and quesadilla looks good. You select you ingredients, they will put it on the tortilla and then they will put the meat on it after and grill it. I do wish they dump more meat and toppings in my quesadilla, it taste good but not filling enough. Overall a good place for a quick bite to eat. read more

We were looking for a quick, cheap and cheerful lunch. Cali Mexican Grill met our criteria and provided us tasty and plentiful meals quickly and for reasonable prices. Our bowls were custom cooked and garnished using fresh ingredients. We planned to eat at one of the communal beaches on the premises and were a little surprised when our orders were provided in carry out containers. It turns out that was prophetic, portion sizes were generous and while I powered through mine, my spouse brought her leftovers home. A good experience for us. read more

Great place if you want a quick bite and don't want to line up with the crowd in Yorkdale Mall. Their menu is quite simple, choose you protein and whether you want a burrito, bowl, tacos or quesadillas. Price ranges from $10-$12 pre-tax. An extra 50￠, if you want guacamole, which I find the price extremely reasonable. I got the steak burrito with whole wheat tortilla, refried beans, corn, lettuce, coleslaw, cheese, salsa, guac, sour cream and cali sauce. I would say flavour-wise the burrito was average, but it was definitely hefty! It looks like they jam pack their burrito bowls too! Kudos to their food and hygiene protocols, everyone who prepared the food wore gloves. They had a very steady stream of customers on a Saturday at around 1pm. Lots of food delivery app orders too. read more

One of the best fast restaurants I've been to (i'm a chef) it's super clean and efficient. I love ordering from there and watching the well choreographed system they have. From ordering to watching them prepare and cook. Very impressed, Oh and the food is outstanding. I would give them 10 stars. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants. read more

I came here based on the reviews on Yelp and I didn't want to go to the busy and annoying food court at Yorkdale nearby. I had an excellent vegetarian burrito bowl with grilled sweet potatoes. Everything was very fresh, a good selection of toppings (including pineapple!), the portion was very big (had to save part of it for later), and the staff was very friendly. Excellent value too. read more

I was super excited to discover another quick and tasty lunch spot close to my office. It's in a bit of a weird spot; I only just realized it was tucked in off of Dufferin just south of Orfus Road. I've been a few times now and I usually get the bowl option, which is basically a burrito without the tortilla. It's a lot like Chipotle's, where you choose your fillings and select your choice of chicken, beef, pork, fish, shrimp, tofu or just veggies. It's nice that they have so many choices. Everything tastes really fresh and they aren't super stingy with the ingredients - although I did have to say "extra" cilantro a few times to get enough. read more

First time here so tried the works. Got a beef quesadilla, grilled chicken cali fries, and fusion chicken bowl. The quesadilla was good! Filled up well and green sauce with it was great. The grilled chicken cali fries was ok. The fries were very soggy since at the bottom of the bowl but didn't have much flavour either, and same goes for the grilled chicken. The fusion chicken was great! Looked amazing and filled to the top. Definitely a dish I would order again. Overall, after experimenting a few dishes would go back, and reorder just a few. read more

It's similar to the other burrito bowl places except you can choose what style you get your protein cooked in. We got the buffalo sauce chicken and veggies nachos. They have about five different varieties/sauces in which the meat is marinated and cooked. The buffalo chicken was delicious, spicy and added The flavor. We got the guac and sour cream as well. Highly recommended. It was about $26 for a chicken bowl and veggie nachos. Absolutely worth the money. read more

I came across this place as I was looking for a decent Mexican resto near Yorkdale. First time I tried the burrito bowl with steak which turned out like "pulled beef" texture and was not a fan. I came back and gave it another try but with shrimp this time and I was not disappointed. The shrimp was pan fried so nothing was burnt and tasted amazing with a drizzle of hot sauce. However, the food preparation rather took long only because the staff was focusing on prepping food for online orders which is why I decided to remove a star. Other than that, this will be added my favourite list!! read more

You MUST try this place. The quality of the food was absolutely amazing. I have searched high and low for a Mexican restaurant in north york where I can get a burrito bowl with pineapples on it and I have finally found it. The food was so fresh and delicious. I ordered the steak burrito bowl (with pineapples) and I was not disappointed to say the least. It was the perfect combination of sweet and savoury. The meat was grilled to perfection, the guacamole was fresh and everything was perfectly seasoned. I ordered the mild hot sauce because I am a complete wimp when it comes to spice and that sauce still packed a lot of flavour. 12/10 and better than chipotle. read more

Reliably good Mexican delivery (I've never actually been here, only ordered in). The ground beef burrito with all the fixins is very tasty, as are the chicken quesadillas. And I always complete the meal with churros and caramel sauce, and I usually end up scooping out the last bit of caramel sauce with my pinky finger because life is short, right? read more

If taco/burrito was a family business- Cali Mexican Grill would be the younger cooler version of chipotle. I say that because they follow almost the exact same formula- even the seating and layout. The menu is eerily similar as well. However what impressed me was the toppings that they had that was different from chipotle. Like the pineapple and cilantro. Also the option to put "crunchie" which is basically toritlla chips crumbled onto your burrito. The place was shiny and shimmery and sooo soo clean. I am a fan. read more

My wife and I ordered the fish tacos. We have had them many times before and they have always been good. This time, the toppings were very sparse, and they no longer come with nachos. No nachos and very little toppings = a very empty feeling box! The fish was still okay, but knowing what this consistently used to be, they seem to have fallen a long way. I don't think we will be returning. read more

I absolutely love Cali. Food is amazing for a late night quick snack or meal. In love with the quesadillas and poutine. Burritos are also great but would choose quesadillas over the burrito. Staff is always nice and crack jokes. read more

Good spot for if you're in the mood for Mexican. I always opt for the fish bowl and its amazing. They aren't cheap about the quantity of fish they add and the toppings make it extra tasty. Ive also tried the taco's which are equally good. read more

Enjoy take out from this place! Nice portions! I usually order a burrito bowl with chicken and pork to go. Lots of great options to go with the meal. They have coleslaw which is sooooo good, guacamole for an extra cost (you don't get that much), and hot sauce. I love heat and it's pretty hot 7/10. Portions are reasonable, actually very good on the protein department. The reasons I give it 3 stars is because of taste. It's just meh. read more

Came across Cali whilst trying to find a quick spot to grab some good close to Yorkdale and found it on Yelp (of course). Ordered a steak burrito, boyfriend got chicken I believe. Now, in Toronto we have Burrito Boyz which has gone downhill in the last few years, we have Mucho Burrito which I find overpriced, and a few other chains. Cali has easily been the most fresh tasting burrito I have had in Toronto, and I honestly thought about it for days afterwards. I can't wait to go back and try other menu items. My boyfriend and I ordered fish tacos and we both enjoyed them tremendously! I was unsure if they would be enough for me and they were filling and delicious! (My BF also agrees!) we also got the churros-and they were SO YUMMY! Good food for great prices...which is not easy to find....thank you for a scrumptious dinner, we will be back! This place is fairly new and a little bit of a weird location but is needed as there is hardly any similar places nearby. The food is excellent though and I think it's better tasting than even Chipotle. I usually get the chicken or beef burrito. They seem to cook the food well and it tastes great. Hope the good quality food continues on in the future. read more

Got 4 items to try today for take out, plus some churros for dessert. Had the fish tacos, pork bowl, chicken burrito and ground beef quesadillas. Our favorite was the fish tacos, followed by the ground beef. The pork and chicken were both a bit on the dry side. The portions are huge and there's a ton of options to choose from and ingredients were overall fresh. Churros were a bit dry and tough on the insides. It's not totally authentic Mexican, compared to some of the dishes we've had whenever we go south of the border to the US. Overall an ok place if you're in the area. read more

It's funny when you find a place with so many great google reviews (hundreds), & you try it & it really does live up to it, yet there are a few of these outlandish negative reviews. You have to take into account when you read reviews, some people are just miserable as &@$# & can never be pleased, & some are just trolling because they wanna see the world burn. It would take a really bad experience for me to give a place a zero, I've come across that a few times, this place definitely doesn't fall in that category. My wife & I have eaten Cali Mexican Grill in store & ordered at home on Uber Eats a few times, & have yet to be disappointed. It's also pretty comical when people try to slag a place, because it's not as good as the country of Origin. I've been to Mexico many times, tacos are fantastic, the Al Pastor amazing....they invented it, so it's kinda to be expected, but that doesn't take away from the Quilty of food you get here. Is it Mexico? No of course not Is it still pretty good & worth trying? Absolutely. I was gonna give Cali 4 stars that's where I see them, but to offset the negative reviews of a few clowns that toss out zeros, without any clue of the implications that can have onon buisness, especially one that doesn't deserve it, they get a 5 from me! read more

Was in Toronto on a business trip and stumbled across this gem. This place is as legit as the food spots in Southern California where I have lived for 12 years. It's perfect food if you are on the go and want to get a great meal at a good price. Highly recommend this spot. read more

Was super excited to try this place out as I love a good fish taco and didn't want to go so far to Satisfy my craving. My review is for the fish taco alone as I got 3 if they and wished I didn't. Fish was stale tasting, tasted like oil, hard, for sure not fresh. Almost tasted like it was previously fried and was refuted when I ordered it. Not a cheap place for quick taco, and a oily one at that. Never again. read more

Updating my review because after an order was made incorrect to two days ago, I've been trying for two days now to contact a manager but every time I call he's busy or just stepped out or is on the phone. I even instagram messaged and have yet to get a response. It's been two days of this now. Good customer service was obviously a fluke the first time I went and this is what it's actually like: unresponsive. Try this place out and pretend like it's a game of roulette: you might get good service, you might not. read more

Very disappointed in this restaurant and their delivery through Uber waited over an hour for our two Mexicans bowls and all we got was salsa and chips When we called them to enquire they say oh sorry we didn't give it to the driver We were too busy No offer to send it just oh sorry Will not ever order me go there again read more

The superior version of Chipotle. Great staff. Fresh food. I have literally tried everything on their menu and it is all delicious. I would eat here everyday if I could. My go to is their steak bowl (pulled steak is incredible). Churros are to die for. Seriously. Love it here. read more

In a different neighbourhood this could easily be a dive with cheap tacos, but at this location a place like this needs to be more upscale and El Pocho delivers with everything living up to a quality experience, yet having a neighbourhood casual atmosphere. Decor is rustic yet clean and nice! Food was impressive with good portions and bar was capable and well stocked. Great experience and can recommend!

Hacienda is located on College Street, very close to Sneaky Dees, in a bit of a tucked away, inconspicuous location. The interior is fantastic and the atmosphere is authentic. There are a lot of reviews that knock this place for service, but that's not really the point of this restaurant. It's a family run place where the focus is food and soccer (when it's on) if you need something, you may need to call the serve over yourself, but that's no big deal cocerning the food. The tacos are the best I've had in the City. At three tacos for $12, it's hard to go wrong. After reading some of the previous reviews, the beef tongue was an obvious choice. I'm not too big in beef personallty, but the meat was so tender and almost melted. Next was the chorizo taco. It was fantastic. The chorizo wasn't overly salty like in a lot of other Mexican restaurants, which made a huge difference. The flavor was deep and rich, and paired perfectly with the salsa. Lastly was the carnitas. It's hard to make carnitas as good as Seven Lives, but wow, these were something else. The carnitas were tender, juicy, and perfectly crispy. The corn tortillas were also made in-house and were fresh and delocious. The servers also bring two sauces to the table - one salsa verde (green salsa) and one hot sauce. Both were great but be careful with the hot sauce, it's a heavy hitter! Pro tip: get a Mexican Coke, it's amazing! Hacienda is the best taco place is the City. Seven Lives is a close second, but Hacienda has them beat in terms of authenticity and flavor. Put this place on your go-to list, it will it dissapoint. 5/5

So each time I have their shrimp and beef tacos. All tacos are served in corn tortilla freshly warmed and stuffed with your preference of meat topped with amazing sauces and vegetables. These tacos are super moist and flavorful. The best part is that they have maintained their quality so well over the time. Last time I got three tacos and they totaled to $12.
