It's quite good value for your money, not to mention the dim sum is delicious and big in portion too. The menu is in Chinese and English, so it's easy for anyone to order. Next time, I'll try their dine-in location to see how different that experience is, but this one's great for quick and easy takeout. We only had to wait 10 mins for all of our food. Highly recommend!

I usually don't prefer the room because the service is pretty slow. You can't wave down the server when you need something like as if you were outside. However, the upside is it's quiet in there since it's not shared in a rowdy room. The service waiters (red vest) were attentive, but the others barely speaks English and gets frustrated when asked for something. The lady who brought out our food slams the plates on the table and picked up the empty ones and threw it in her cart while it's next to me. Not sure about service but she seemed pissed. Walked away when we were trying to ask her something. Even if she didn't speak English, it's kind to say no English or I find you someone. We did the AYCE menu since it's a no brainer. It was $23 pp. The food was actually good and decent. I don't have a favorite but for AYCE DIM SUM is good price. Some items are limit to one pp. Overall, I'd come back. But this time maybe not have the pissed off lady. Having my food slammed and thrown is not very welcoming. I hope she changed or they can put her in the back!

During the day they serve dim sum, and at night they switch over to Cantonese seafood dishes. I've eaten here many times for dim sum. They offer both traditional sit down service and a takeout counter in the front if you're in a hurry. The dim sum is solid and definitely hits the spot. Since I live nearby, it's one of those convenient spots I find myself coming back to. This visit was for dinner. We ordered a fish dish that was pretty interesting (honestly not sure what the exact name was), an oyster omelet, and clams with basil. Everything was tasty and definitely made me go through a couple bowls of rice. One thing I always appreciate is that they still give complimentary dessert at the end of the meal. We got green bean soup and some ma lai gao, which was a nice way to finish dinner. Overall, Ocean Bo is one of those neighborhood gems that has stood the test of time. It may not be the trendiest restaurant around, but it's reliable, serves good Cantonese food, and keeps the locals coming back.

We arrive around 2pm and there was no wait. You order off a form and the food arrives quickly because they have most of it pre-made and ready for take out in the back. Here are my thoughts on the following: - har gow: decent and STUFFED with shrimp - siu mai: super juicy and probably the best siu mai I've ever had - shrimp rice roll: decent, nothing to write home about - ham sui gok (deep fried meat dumpling): good, but not as airy as I like them, but still good - soy sauce chow mein: super bland - egg tarts: one of them was perfect, the other two were too runny like they hadn't been set properly, but the custard was sweet and balanced perfectly with the flaky crust - egg yolk bun: my bf really liked these, but I thought the filling was a tad too grainy for my liking All in all, I was pretty impressed with Ocean Bo and would recommend.

If you know, you know. Forget standing in a line long enough to finish 8 Mile waiting for the "real" dim sum experience-this spot is too busy quietly running circles around the competition. Little Kanupe and I started the morning absolutely hangry (one of my baby soldiers) after striking out at another place (we'll leave them unnamed to protect the innocent). One quick Yelp audible later and we landed at HK Dim Sum. Best comeback since B-Rabbit dropped the mic. The first thing you'll notice is the size of the hand cared for master pieces. Run here for a quick FIFA break, but dont think you're ordering "a little something." Every bite delivers. The chow mein was memorable, so memorable with that wok hay kiss on every noodle just right. Smoky, savory, and ridiculously addictive. Every dish hit with that same "one more bite" energy, and somehow everything showed up almost before we finished ordering. No carts, no gimmicks, no unnecessary fanfare, just legit dim sum crazy great flavor. HK Dim Sum earned a rock-solid five stars. Din Tai Fung is King in most circles, but this place is the Daenerys Dragon Queen dominator. I'm so happy to be part of this sharing of secrets. BTW get the Shumai, chowmein and har gow as starters. Explore the menu. I'm comin back soon and i'm near TJ lol.

We always stop by here when we're in the area, which isn't as frequent as I'd like for it to be. For dinner entrees and dim sum lunch, both offer really tasty food and we always order more than we should here. The duck, crispy pork (unfortunately not serviced on weekdays for dim sum portion :( ) is AMAZING. I can never leave here without ordering the baked lava bun. And the shiu mai is so delicious (and big!) Like all Chinese restaurants, service is a hit or miss. I was surprised when we were here on a weekday service wasn't as quick as the weekends, but it makes sense since it's anticipated to be slower. But even then, there were a lot of tables taken up so you know this place is popping regardless of what day you go! Underground parking is also awful (small and tight), but slightly better on a weekday to offer higher chances of getting a spot without having to search for a while. It's also a strip mall too with other restaurants, shops and a gym so it gets busy with different clientele for different purposes.

We ordered A LOT so I'll just touch upon some dishes: -Our favorite item was the egg tart but maybe because it came straight out of the oven so it was piping hot. The crust was super flaky, and custard was velvety smooth and not too sweet. We were so tempted to get seconds but we were too full. -The bean curd wrapped with shrimp and pork was on point as well. -The chicken feet didn't really meet expectations. Normally I like it, but I wasn't impressed by this one. -the ham sui gok was good but I feel like it could've used more filling -fried rice had big juicy shrimp but rice was on the saltier side -Inconsistent crystal wrapper textures across all the different crystal skin dumplings. Some mushy, which I don't like. Some chewy, which I do like. The fillings were delicious though. Cart workers are a little pushy when it came to dishes they wanted to get rid of. TIP: Best to get stuff when it's hot and hasn't been sitting in the cart. Can accommodate large groups as it is Chinese banquet style seating with large round rotating tables. It was great to go with friends who speak Cantonese because mine is so rusty, I can only understand but not speak these days. I was so hungry I didn't even let my phone eat 1st like the yelped I am, but only remembered to take a photo after we had eaten at least half our plates! Having grown up with NYC and SF dim sum, NBC is one of the few Los Angeles area places that has the selection and flavors of my childhood. Some favorites were the har gow, taro puffs, and tripe. We got the roast duck but it wasn't very meaty or flavorful. We got the congee which was ok, but lacked any definite personality. The chewy fried dumplings were more dough than filling. The siu mai and veggie dumplings were both solid. I didn't try the bitter melon or turnip cakes because I don't like the taste of either, but I was happy to see them available. We got a claypot rice dish with spare ribs and Chinese sausage which was good but the rice was not crispy on the bottom. I saw they had chicken feet, which I usually love but they didn't look appetizing enough to order. Would definitely go back for other dishes and with more people so we could sample more selections.

The service was quite impressive... extremely attentive, friendly, and quick. 8/10 for the food. 10/10 for the price point 10/10 for the service. The food was definitely solid for the price point. There were a few misses, but the dishes that landed were executed really well. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area! Siu Mai 10/10 - Juicy, plump and perfectly executed. Definitely my favorite dish. Bean Curd Skin Roll in Abalone Sauce 9/10 - Flavorful with an excellent texture. The whole dish was well executed. Beef Chow Fun 8/10 - Solid and flavorful. The beef was tender, and the noodles had a great texture. Yangzhou Fried Rice 8/10 - The rice was moist and the seasoning was spot on. Shrimp Egg 8/10 - Soft and well seasoned. Generously portioned with very plump shrimp. Pork Chop Spicy Salt 8/10 - Crispy and slightly salted. It has a really great texture to it. Salted Fish and Chicken with Eggplant 8/10 - Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Generous portions of chicken, salty fish and eggplant. Chicken Feet 7/10 - It was solid. Not the best, but definitely not bad. House Special Crispy Shrimp Rolls 5/10 - The flavor of the shrimp was okay, but the rolls were really greasy. There were three very small rolls, definitely not my cup of tea. Chili Wonton 3/10 - By far my least favorite dish. The wonton skin tasted very flour-y, and hardly had any filling. The filling was also very bland and the chili oil was very underwhelming. By the way, the tea is free (I know, free tea at a dim sum spot).

Not the first time but very satisfied for our most recent visit here…read more It's been a while since we last ate here and we had family dinner as a party of 10, so we were given a private room with 3 hot pots. We had beef, lamb, and pork slices for hotpot which we ordered 5 each per order. We had two pots original and one spicy. The meat slices were very thin so cooking time wasn't long and we paired it with various sauces, so if you make a good sauce it'll be even better. The buffet selection definitely changed, there's more hot foods and they no longer have mini sausages. I do enjoy their char siu and their varieties. Staff were pretty attentive with making sure our tables are cleared and if we need more meat. Since we were in a private room, they still came by to check on us. Overall, I did enjoy this place and would come again! I think not everyone liked how thin the meat was sliced but I'm fine with it. Ice creams costs money as well.

I'm deeply disappointed with the decline in cleanliness and overall quality of this establishment…read moreover the years. What was once a delightful place to visit has steadily deteriorated, and my recent visit was the final straw. As someone who has worked in food service, I understand the significance of proper sanitation and food safety practices. What I witnessed was truly disturbing. Employees were wearing the same pair of gloves while performing various unrelated tasks without changing them. I observed staff handling dirty items, picking up debris from the floor, pushing dirty carts, touching shared surfaces, using their phones, and even making physical contact with one another all the while continuing to wear the same gloves when handling customer items. Gloves are designed to prevent contamination, not spread it. Wearing the same contaminated gloves throughout an entire shift defeats their purpose and creates serious cross-contamination. There seemed to be a complete lack of awareness of basic food safety standards. The dining area was equally disappointing. The menus were visibly greasy and oily, as if they hadn't been cleaned in ages. During slower periods, most restaurants take the opportunity to wipe down menus, sanitize surfaces, and maintain cleanliness throughout the establishment. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case here. The salad bar was in a state of disarray. Ingredients were scattered, vegetables were mixed into the wrong containers, and food was spilling over the sides. The entire area looked neglected and unorganized. Instead of appearing fresh and inviting, it looked messy and unsanitary. To add insult to injury, much of the dishware appeared dirty. Plates, bowls, and utensils had oily residue and didn't look properly cleaned before being put back into service. There's nothing more unsettling than wondering whether the dishes you're eating from are actually clean. Dining out should be a pleasant experience, but this establishment fell short on multiple fronts. The lack of sanitation practices, visible cross-contamination, dirty menus, messy food stations, and unclean dishware left me feeling disgusted rather than satisfied. Given this disappointing experience, I won't be returning. It's disheartening to witness such a noticeable decline in standards, and I hope management takes these concerns seriously to prevent any potential health risks.
