Desserts are hit or miss depending on the day but the meal portions are so large you probably won't have room anyway. There's nothing fancy about the dining area, it's pure diner style. The food is a LOT better quality than the local chain accross the street and was served quickly. The coffee is also very good. The food selection on the buffet was as good as anywhere. The waitstaff is super freindly and helpful also. This is clearly an overlooked restaurant for the Oak Ridge locals, since it's inside the hotel. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food that is availible. There is a ton of close parking and its easy to access. We plan on going back for dinner one night just to change things up. Yes you can chase a dollar and eat cheaper locally, no doubt, but to have a nice clean, not crowded place with high quality food sets this place apart. It's been a long time since I sat in the relative quiet to enjoy my food.

After a few visits, I figured it's time to finally write a review for Buffalo Mountain Grill…read more BMG is an unassuming spot--definitely not trying to impress you with its looks. When you walk in, there's no host stand or friendly greeter, just a sign that says, "Seat yourself and let us know you're here." The layout feels a bit patched together, like a restaurant built from spare parts. It's dimly lit, and the interior design doesn't seem like a top priority--so I wouldn't recommend it for a first date or an attempt to impress someone. It has strong dive bar energy, just in restaurant form. There is a small outdoor patio, and the bonus? It's dog-friendly. Inside, there are plenty of TVs, so it leans a bit toward sports bar territory--but without the usual rowdy crowd or game-day vibe. Service has been solid overall. On our first attempt to eat here, they let us know they were short-staffed and wouldn't be able to serve us for an hour. Disappointing, sure--but I appreciated the honesty and that they didn't waste our time. On return visits, service has been on point. We were greeted quickly, our server was helpful and attentive, and food came out hot. There is a bar, but don't expect craft cocktails or a resident mixologist. It's best to keep it simple here: grab a beer on tap or something straightforward like a whiskey neat. Anything more complicated might fall flat. As for the food, it's been consistently good. The hot wings are a standout--crispy with a flavorful hot sauce that actually delivers on heat. I've also tried the fish & chips and the burger; both were solid and satisfying. The only inconsistency was with the side salad. The first time it came out with a fresh spring mix, but on another visit, it was just iceberg lettuce--not a dealbreaker, but a little disappointing. We used to go to Oakey's for our dive-bar wings and casual grub, but Buffalo Mountain Grill has taken that spot for us. It's quirky, no-frills, and definitely not fancy--but they serve up legit food and deliver where it counts. Give it a shot. Just don't come looking for ambience--come hungry.

This is the THIRD time this has happened, and I'm officially done trying to give this place…read morechances. Tonight I called at 8:25 and spoke to someone about placing an order. I called back at 8:30 (literally FIVE minutes later) to place the order while I was already sitting outside, and the same man suddenly tells me they're closed. Mind you, the store hours say they close at 10 PM. When I told him I had just spoken to him 5 minutes before, he immediately got hateful and rude, started raising his voice, and then turned the lights off like I was bothering him for trying to order food during business hours. Just 4-5 days ago the SAME thing happened except it was around 9 PM. At this point it's honestly giving pure laziness and unprofessional behavior. I'm really not understanding how this place is still open if employees can just close whenever they feel like it and treat customers like trash. He refused to tell me his name and was literally yelling saying his name is "Buffalo Grille" (???) which tells me everything I need to know. I'm sure I'm not the first customer who's been yelled at or cussed at over the phone. I will be calling every day until I get answers from a manager or owner because this is unacceptable. DO NOT waste your time here. Still no apology from owner

The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, and I believe there's also a bar area. We were seated right away, which was a great start. Their menu has a little bit of everything, from appetizers and gumbo to customizable seafood boils with different seasoning and spice options. Before our meal, they brought out their cheesy crab bread, and unfortunately I didn't snap a picture because we all devoured it within minutes. It was that good! I ordered a half pound of crawfish, a half pound of snow crab legs, and a lobster tail with the Cajun seasoning, "Make It Hot." Everything was delicious! The snow crab legs were packed with flavor, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the lobster tail--it was incredibly meaty, buttery, and cooked perfectly. The boil also came with sausage, corn, and potatoes, making it a hearty meal. I also have to give a shoutout to our server, Amanda. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. She checked on us often, cleared the table as we finished, and gave great recommendations when we had questions about the menu. If I ever find myself back in Tennessee, I'd definitely come back to Storming Crab!

It's a local chain that I found to be above average. The Q was moist with smoke flavor throughout but not overly so. A good dose of hospitality was served. The sauce was vinegar based, which I don't prefer, but it was tasty and thankfully not overloaded with vinegar. For a quick BBQ sandwich, I would recommend Buddy's.

Our server was Dylan who was pleasant, knowledgeable, and an overall likable young man. During our time there, he returned to our table several times and asked if our food was to our liking and if he could provide anything else for us. I ordered the Biscuit Benny which is CB's version of Eggs Benedict. It is a biscuit with choice of ham, sausage, plant-based sausage or bacon, eggs and Hollandaise sauce. Finished with a tomato-green-onion blend garnish and a choice of two sides. I chose the bacon with hash brown casserole and spicy baked apples as my sides. When the food arrived at my table, it was the most beautiful plating job I have seen at a CB. Instead of the nondescript white plates, mine was a blue and white Dresden design. The biscuits were fluffy, the eggs cooked perfectly (when I cut into them, the yolk ran liberally over my biscuits) and bacon was covered in a delicious Hollandaise sauce, with colorful diced green onions and tomatoes. The hash brown casserole was divine and the apples cooked to perfection. Considering many restaurants who are raising their prices, I thought for $12.49, I got a delicious bargain. I had to give kudos to and tip the cook as well who prepared the most delicious meal I have had to date at a CB and plated it with artistic aplomb (see attached photo). Kudos to George who is the King of the Line Cooks. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger is famous for saying, "I'll be back!"

Four piece fried chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans and we decided four pieces was enough between the two of us just split . I ordered a side salad as well. I asked the waitress what the four pieces were, if there was a choice. Her reply was "there are pieces of chicken." I explained to her the chicken has drumsticks, wings, breasts, thighs. ..." oh she said...... I can go ask!" No worries, we'll take what comes ! Room temperature, fried chicken, obviously been sitting under their lights or somewhere... dried out mashed potatoes that were the color of I'm not quite sure... with a crust on top.... Only because they too have been sitting somewhere for a while, cool to the touch. Green beans were also barely lukewarm. We have been to Cracker Barrel many times and typically are happy but have noticed that that southern comfort style and grace is a little bit far and in between ... Cracker Barrel is comfort food, good old fashion meals that should be served hot . This was 8 o'clock at night. There was not a lot of people dining in at this time. And I'm not sure why they felt that serving this type of fare was acceptable. We also had to ask for a basket of rolls, which typically have always been a combination of biscuits and cornbread... there were just biscuits. We got up and asked to speak to management..... which did finally come out at the back kitchen area.... Obviously not overseeing what type of food was being served. She was kind apologized, offered us food to go or whatever at that point we weren't interested at all. I certainly hope that the management at the Cracker Barrel's.... take some management concern in helping especially number one their servers that don't understand the baskets of biscuits and cornbread come out with the meals and that there are different parts of a chicken.... And the server definitely should pay attention to the food they're serving, and if it doesn't look fresh and hot that they need to return it to the person preparing the meals. I honestly don't know how that food even left the kitchen. Nobody was obviously looking at the food they were serving. Truly disappointed and hoping again that management makes corrections in these areas.
