They first checked to see if the old tire could be repaired. It couldn't. They then sold a duplicate tire and a price than the tire that blew out. All of this was done in 30 minutes. I was amazed. First off I have to say, I have always gone to Calderon Tires since they were on Story & King and then going to the one lobated on Bascom. They are reliable and get your tires repaired or replaced within a reasonable amount of time. I have always left happy with the service they provide and the employees are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Will go to another location in the future and avoid this location. So disappointed with this location. Came in to get a tire checked out and the employee who was helping us seamed irritated and made us feel like we were wasting his time. After 45 minutes nothing was done to help us out with out tire problem. I would understand the wait time if they were busy, but we were the only ones there at the time. He really didn't put much effort into looking at our tire and gave us some malarkey about the tire being fine, tried asking him about the tire and he pretty much brushed us off. Sorry if you were having a bad day, We all do sometimes however, I will not be returning to this location. read more

Came here for a Tire Patch on Memorial Day, staff was very friendly and attentive. They asked me immediately what services I required and I mentioned I needed a patch for a tire. Initially I thought it was only one patch but they noticed I had another nail on the same tire! I did not even see it so thank God for them being so attentive! Immediately after I parked my car where I was told to park it, my tire was off and being patched in about a minute. 10 minutes later my tire was fixed and I was ready to go! Owner is dishonest!! Do not trust him to do what he says. I normally go to Frank's Auto as they are honest and fair. But Frank's alignment machine was down so I called Calderon and asked for an alignment on a Nissan Frontier truck. The owner said $80, as long as I didn't need repair parts like ball joints or tie rods (which I did not need). When I picked up the car, they had only adjusted the Toe, and the Camber was still out of spec on both left/right wheels!! He then said I only get toe adjust for $80, doing a full alignment is 2X more. That's total lie and B.S. and that was never discussed. I called both Frank's and Auto Solutions while standing in the parking lot and both said full alignment (all FOUR wheels and ALL adjustments) is $90 at their shops. Calderon owner lies and cheats. I put a Bureau of Automotive Repair complaint on file and the Owner has rejected any possibility of settling so I will be taking them to court and subpoena the BAR complaint which confirmed my claims. First time, the older gentleman saw he was a plumber as asked him to look at their drinking fountain, a quick tighten or something along those lines & it was fixed as was his tire, which he wasn't charged for. I got into my van the other day and realized my tired was going flat, from Main St. to Calderon's I limped but made it fine, they fixed it in under 8 minutes, enough time for me to call of my emergency pick up for my daughter from school and get there in time, she wouldn't have known a thing! Went here for used tires and was charged $60 each one, which if I would have paid and additional $20 each I could have gotten new ones, but whatever I say okay that's fine.. I pay mostly cash and put the rest on my card... I drove straight home 10 mi. Away and parked in my garage... woke up to go toe work and one of the tires was completely flat so I had to get it towed back there first thing in the morning.. the older gentleman tried to tell me that that was my fault and I'll have to buy another one.. I refused because it hadn't even been 14 hours I have this tire on my car.. so he then told me I'd have to pay labor which is $40, I also said no because we were the first ones there at 8:10 and he took over an hour to put another tire on my car.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! if he doesn't want to do the work he'll throw out a crazy price, what I heard him quote people for tires is outrageous! Wonderful experience! I called them a week prior and asked if an appt was needed and the man over the phone said "no just call me the day before you want to bring in your car and we'll order the parts for you." I needed all 4 tires replaced, after 4 years and around 50K miles put onto them, it was definitely time for a change. My sizes are 255, 40, 19 and I was charged $470 for parts, $160 for labor, and I added on a wheel alignment for $70. I walked out the door paying $700 even, which was fantastic! I received quotes from 3 other places The Ford Store, Big O Tires, and Costco and all started at $800 just for parts. The customer service was fantastic and the workers communicated well. I dropped my car off around 9am and they called me an hour later updating me on how long the process would be. I ended up picking up my car around 3:30pm because of a delay on the parts being delivered, but overall I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shop to anyone in need of new/used tires, wheel alignments, and other services! If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would. My first encounter was unfortunate, but semi understandable; i brought my pickup truck with two tires to be swapped. They didn't want to do the swap because the new tires were just slightly different than the ones they were replacing, we are talking a very minimal amount. They said it would do damage, being a car nut, I know it wouldn't, unless you put it in 4Low on concrete. My case, I was waiting for the other two tires to get delivered but I wanted the ones that were bad to get replaced first. I show up a week or so later with 4 tires all matching at 5:30 and they refused service even though they had zero customers and don't close until 6pm. I told the younger guy that I was dealing with that I think they just don't want my business, he just rolls his eyes and walks away. I watched them help someone else that rolled in after me no problem, didn't refuse to service them I will never do business here again and I will only recommend Big O Tires to anyone I know. read more

Was in dire need of new front tires...or used ones since I found out that my front right tire was wearing badly on one side. Its already late in the day, I didn't think I could get any shop could service me this late. I found a local Calderon, pulled up within 15 minutes of closing and they did not hesitate to help. I was greeted promptly by Samuel, my vehicle was on a jack within 2 minutes of arrival and I was in and out within 20 minutes. I cannot begin to thank them enough. They we're wonderfully priced too! Only reason why I didn't give him 5 stars is because I went to get a used tire from him and loss air the first couple hours driving. But he contacted me back really quick regarding the tire and actually came to my house and gave me a better tire and I needed a second tire and he gave me a great deal on that as well. My car was tracking horribly to the left. Didn't realize the tires were complete toast. Purchased a complete set of used Goodyear Eagle TA's with 80% or more life on them for $230 bucks out the door. My 2010 Mustang already had used tires that got over 40,000 miles on them, but had cord showing on 3/4. These tires are CHP Patrol car takeoffs. I hope to get another 40,000 out of thse as well. This is a no frills business. All the Calderon's are basically the same as I have bought from the other one in San Jose on Monterey many times before. Car was jacked and tires replaced in 15 minutes flat. Why bother going to Goodyear in Morgan Hill or the other guys in Gilroy? This place will have you fixed up in a jiffy. Thanks guys! read more

Great place to take a leak -- leaky tire, that is. I've bought used tires here for non-critical applications and Calderon has repaired punctures for me. No, you can't get a flat fixed in 2013 for $5 anymore, but $10 to $20 isn't bad, and beats the chain stores by a wide margin. I just had a valve stem replaced on a trailer wheel. The chain store quoted $20, saying they'd have to dismount the tire from the rim and I'd have to wait around. Calderon did it for $10 and only unseated the tire enough to get the old stem out and put a new one in. Total time was less than 5 minutes. Now, THAT'S service!! read more
