I haven't been to America's Tire in the last 10 years. I feel like they have smoothed out the ordering process now , and are easy to work with. Someone always answers the phone relatively quickly , and I found each person that I have communicated with to be professional and courteous. The only issue that I see is that they don't carry a full stock of tires onsite. They didn't have the size I needed, so they had to order from a different location. It took about a week for my tires to arrive. I promptly set up an appointment for the following day and headed on down to the store. Once the gentleman checked me in and took my keys , my car was ready in about 2 hours. I am not sure if America's Tire is the cheapest option available, but my experience was pleasant for the most part. On a side note , I took advantage of their 0 interest for 6 months financing option. read more

I came in for my 1:30pm appointment and was surprised to see a long line -- there were about 10 walk-ins ahead of me. I asked the front desk if there was a separate line for appointments, and he kindly let me know there wasn't -- you still have to wait in the same line as walk-ins. That was a bit frustrating because it made me wonder what the point of making an appointment was if you can't check in separately. That said, I now understand why it's still helpful to make an appointment -- once I was checked in, things did move along as expected. My overall wait was about 1.5 hours, which honestly wasn't too bad considering walk-ins were being told it would be over two hours. Once I was helped, the associate told me my car should be done within an hour since I had an appointment. Standing in the same line as walk-ins was a bit annoying at first, but I can see that the appointment helped with the overall timing. I purchased two Continental tires for $670. Thankfully, I only needed two. I even called my husband to double-check if the price was reasonable, and he said it was, so I went ahead with it. It felt like a lot, but with a baby, having safe and reliable tires is absolutely worth it. Overall, the staff was polite and the pricing seemed fair for the brand. My only suggestion would be to create a separate check-in line for appointments to make the process clearer and more efficient. I would still return. read more

I went into America's Tire on the evening of 12/17/2025 after my TPMS warning went off while I was driving. I was losing about a pound of air every few minutes and called them in a bit of a panic since they were close to closing. Despite that, they were able to take me in about 25 minutes before closing, which I really appreciated. They inspected the tire and explained clearly that it couldn't be patched because the tread depth was too low and the object in the tire was too large to safely repair. I was also in a hurry, and the woman working the counter was absolutely fantastic. She quickly found the exact tires I needed at the right price and promised they would have me in and out in under 30 minutes. True to her word, I was in and out within 30 minutes of arriving. That's 30 minutes to demount four tires, mount four new tires, and balance them, which honestly blew me away. Customer service was excellent from start to finish, and the entire crew completely killed it. Professional, fast, and honest service when I needed it most. I've been going to this shop for wheels and tires for about 10 years now, (5 or so when we lived in Gilroy and now another 5 or so since moving to Morgan Hill). A couple of weeks ago I had the low tire warning light come on on my dash, so I pulled over at the nearest gas station as sure enough saw a screw sticking out of one of my tires. I took it to an America's Tire in San Jose and they told me it couldn't be patched because it was too close to the edge of the tire. I went home and checked America's Tire website and saw that the same tires I had could be installed the next day. I decided to replace all 4 tires because the rears were looking a little bald anyway. I mistakenly assumed that since the website said I could get the tires the next day, that the Gilroy shop had them in stock. But when I got there first thing the next morning I was told that the tires were being delivered and wouldn't be there until 10am at the earliest. I guess they keep the tires in a local warehouse and then bring them to the individual stores when they are ordered. Kind of a bummer because I was counting on getting them installed in the morning and going in to work late. As I was getting the tires installed, I asked how many miles I had gotten on them and was shocked to find out that my rear tires were pretty much bald after only 10,000 miles! The tires were supposed to have a 45,000 mile warranty. The manager Ramiro got me a discount on the rears that almost paid for them completely but he said he couldn't get me a discount on the fronts since they had slightly more tread on them than the rears. Come on, those tires were not going to last another 35,000 miles. STAY AWAY FROM BF GOODRICH TIRES PEOPLE!! Anyway, a couple days later, I washed my car since it had been raining for a couple of weeks prior. While washing my wheels I noticed there were light scratches on pretty much every spoke of every wheel. I pay attention to the condition of my wheels because I wax my wheels when I wax my car. I took the car back and showed my wheels to Ramiro and he said that he would put me in touch with a repair company. The repair guy texted me about an hour later and we made arrangements to get my wheels fixed. I expected him to just buff the scratches out but he told me that he was actually going to paint over the scratched. America's Tires' insurance company contacted me to get some information and they were a bit of a pain to deal with, just like all insurance companies are but I did end up getting my wheels painted. If I could give zero stars, I would. I should have listened to the negative reviews. This place was a complete disaster from start to finish. They promised my tires would arrive at a specific time--never happened. No calls, no updates, no accountability. The entire process took far longer than promised. When I went to pick up my car, they hadn't even done the alignment that I had already paid for, forcing me to wait an additional hour. Then, as if that wasn't bad enough, they casually told me they couldn't even do the front tires--something they failed to mention at any point beforehand. If I had known they were only going to do half the job, I would never have paid in the first place. The lack of communication, wasted time, and incompetence here is unacceptable. This was a frustrating and infuriating experience. Never again. I would strongly recommend going literally anywhere else. read more

I've been here for tire repair twice. Both times they lied to me saying the tire needed a full replacement. I was able to get it patched at another tire store close by. I did one full tire replacement here, they bent and broke a piece that wraps around my rear tires in half. So as I drove away it was instantly rubbing onto the new tire making a horribly loud noise. I returned and spoke to the manager about the damage, but he said they would not be fixing it. Basically it wasn't their fault. My car NEVER made this noise before. read more

Almost every time I'm there, they screw up. Today was sending me home with 2 different sized tires ( 3 of one, one larger). The time before that I went in and paid for four tires got an appointment the next morning at 9/came in the next day and they just looked at me blankly and said "your tires aren't here yet." It's a half hour drive. I wish they would've called to tell me. So I came back four hours later, waited 45 minutes finally got my car in? Even though they said I would be bumped to the front of the line since I had already wasted my morning. Nope! The last two times I took them four Costco pizzas each time hoping that would help? Nope. Auto chain service centers (whether for tires, oil changes, repair) often have pretty poor reviews, but I was very pleased with my experience here. All the staff were professional and polite and did their best to keep people informed on the status of their vehicles. I called in and was told they had my tire in stock, but the wait time was roughly 3-3.5hrs. I wasn't able to get there for another hour, at which point they told me to make an appointment because they were fully booked for the day. If they couldn't accommodate me, I had an urgent situation that meant I had to drive 350 miles on a tire I wasn't fully comfortable with. They agreed to take me in after my explanation and while the wait was long (about the 3-3.5hrs projected), I got out of there with a new tire I could confidently resume my trip with, which I really appreciated. The team there seemed very together as well with high morale, which isn't always the case. Their manager/s appear to do a really good job in that regard. So I had a very positive experience and I appreciate the way they do business here. read more

I was changing a tire on our 2018 Chevy Silverado, and I could not get the spare back into place. I made an appointment and was lucky that Jose was at the counter. He said let's take a look, and the next thing I know he's under the truck, in clean clothes mind you, identifying my problem. He replaced the spare and sent me on way. Awful experience. I came in today to get a tire repair due to a nail that was in the tread. The gentleman there tried to sell me new tires, twice, I told him it wasn't an option today and I just needed it repaired. He said he would take the car back and inspect it. I came back an hour later and they had removed the tire put my spare on and told me they couldn't repair it because were too worn out. They did not call me or discuss needing to do this as an option with me prior. It's extremely frustrating and now I have to spend more time finding a location who can help me and is willing to actually listen. read more

I tried to give this place another chance, but my most recent experience was not pleasant. About a year or two ago, I filed a claim for the store to replace my wheel after they damaged it. After a few weeks of back and forth, they finally replaced my wheel. Since then, I've only gone back for a couple of tire balances and rotations. My visit last week was for routine maintenance--balance and rotation, etc. When I arrived, one of the representatives came out to meet me to receive my car. I kindly requested that the technicians working on my vehicle be careful, as I had one of my wheels replaced and I didn't want to go through that experience again. However, he became defensive, pointing out scratches on my wheels as if I didn't know what was going on with my car. In a condescending manner, he asked me, "When was the last time your wipers were changed?" as if I were a child. He didn't want to listen to me; instead, he became defensive about the scratches on my car, implying that I was lying about the condition of my wheels. If that's the case, then why did you replace my rim? Claim #1276859 look it up. Anyway, I've been going to America's Tire Company for years--probably before this person was even born. I probably won't go back and I work on my own cars! This guy acts as if he's better than everyone else, but he just works at a tire store; he needs to get over himself. Even the manager, Ramiro, is much nicer and more humble. I wouldn't be surprised if they just put air in my tires and didn't rotate. read more

America's Tires' prices are competitive, and they have a great selection to select from. I found their website to be easy to use and especially helpful in selecting tires to meet my needs. Whenever there has been an issue, they correct it quickly. Today, I was taken care of by Jesus. He answered all of my questions in a professional manner and made sure I got all of the discounts and adjustments available to me. Being a senior citizen, I especially appreciated the time and patience he took with me as I completed my purchase. Their tire protection plan is not cheap, but I found it to be well worth the price. I ordered my tires around 3:30 PM. I immediately scheduled the next available appt at 10:30am for two days later. The day after ordering, I received an email stating that the tires had been delivered. I waited about an hour and called down to ask if in fact the tires had arrived, one of their techs went to verify as they hadn't yet been scanned in and lo and behold, they were there. I asked if it would be possible to just let my car sit there and either get in later that afternoon or possibly the next morning at my regularly scheduled appointment. I was told that I could bring it down and that they would be able to get it in that afternoon. At about 11 AM I drove down and dropped it off, checking in was relatively easy despite both techs being slammed with customers. The tech explained that they had just recently started doing alignments, which was ideal because my tires were wearing unevenly for $90. I went ahead and gave them the OK to do the work as the price seemed very reasonable considering I wouldn't have to go somewhere else. At about 330 that afternoon, I received a call from one of their guys asking if I wanted to have my windshield wiper blades replaced. I figured it was a air filter situation that you run into when you have your oil changed and that they would be at an exaggerated price. To my pleasant surprise, they were actually less than what I had just paid for another set a week prior on my other vehicle. I gave them the OK. My car was done, completely, by 4:45 that afternoon and I went down to pick it up a full day less than I expected. I can't say enough about the service or their efficiency. They also conveniently price match and while I usually use Costco for tires now that I am close to this place as well I think this will be my new go-to. Gilroy location TRASHED my AMG wheels - either these folks don't care or they are malicious. All four wheels have demonstrable damage of varying degrees - three highly damaged, one minor damage. Damage is verbatim to the radius of an impact wrench socket used to remove and install the lug nuts. Lug nuts and recessed and apparently the installer locates the lug nuts by brail. Installer then removes off the center caps with sharp metal objects, and gouges the rim. And DANGERSOUS - they failed to correctly install the valve core one of the tires, causing the tire to lose air. Now I am forced to chase down a claim with their third party - or take them to small claims court. Thankfully I have all required evidence - but this is just BAD BUSINESS. read more

Tires were due to be replaced. America's Tire had competitive pricing compared to other tire shops. My tires wouldn't have lasted another couple weeks driving about 100 miles daily ish. Compared to other tire shops that would have the tires I wanted, America's Tire had the best pricing and would have the tires available in two days. I had an appt but opted to come in earlier. They said with appt, 1 hr wait. No appt I waited about 1.5 hours. Restroom available. Store was heckin cold, bring your own water bottle for the fountain so plan ahead. Scuffs left on the rim really is the only thing that takes the rating down. I had self-made scratches on the rim but the damage is so obvious. Didnt see till I got home.Didnt have issues with these on a different America's Tire location when I had service with them twice previously. read more

My Tire Pressure Monitoring System light went on when I wasn't expecting it to so I stopped by America's Tire in Gilroy without an appointment. A staff person assisted me right away and inspected my tires. They were able to tell me what was wrong very quickly and gave me advice on what to do next. Special ordered Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02's for a 1999 BMW Z3, shipping was quicker than expected. The fitting appointment was very smooth, checked in, and was out the door in less than 45 minutes. But what really set this location apart was the attempted flat repair less than a month later. They attempted a repair and it would not hold due to the angle the hole was (they even brought the tire into the waiting area to show me).
