I found some things I wasn't looking for, but that I needed and wanted. I saw beautiful pieces I wanted just for myself, like separate or broken jewelry pieces--a clasp here for a necklace or a link for a watch. Also, I recently picked up an old knitting habit and wanted to replace some old yarn. It was nice to see an area dedicated to yarn, other crafts, and other hobbies. I can say I really got lost inside the store, discovering so much. I saw some frames to purchase to make a gallery wall. So, I will say this: if you need to revise a place or restock on some office supplies, please come here. Or if you just need some ideas on creating a space in your home, come here; it's a place where anyone can get a lot of ideas and inspiration.

When we got there we saw furniture inside the window and were confused until we realized that this store and the fabric store were one in the same but two areas joined together. The fabric side has a lot of really good options to choose from. They are aroubnd $9.99 for a yard for fabric which is higher than Joann but it's local so I can let it slide. The furniture section had solid wood furniture and at good prices. I couldn't get anything but certainly good quality. The main store had all the sort of crafty knick knacks like those you'd find at Michael's so nothing too fancy. I was sad there was no doll hair though. The staff was really attentive. They do have bathrooms but they're in the back and don't have privacy doors inside with the stalls. Strange. Parking is easy as it's in a large lot.

I took the Intro to Blockprinting class this past weekend and overall, it was fun. It is an open space with all sorts of art supplies, tools, and just about anything your imagination can muster up. Lots of inspiration. I was hoping to make more than just one small block and have different supplies like fabric for printing. It was very therapeutic to carve my small block. The class felt a little scattered - but it was a very easy going environment, super relaxed. Our instructor was friendly and encouraged us to tap into originality without overthinking it instead of looking up patterns or inspo on our phone. I really liked that. And she offered us all coffee, freshly made. You can basically come in to do all the arts and craft your heart desires, on a donation basis. Affordable and unique way to release your artistic side without investing too much in all the supplies and then an abandoning a hobby. I'd come back with a friend and check out a different class.

She walked us step-by-step through the process. Now, I'm not a crafty person, but I was inspired enough by the ambiance and overflow of art supplies to get some creative juices flowing. At the end, I was able to create my own lanterns with some creative twists. I had a fun time and will recommend my crafty friends to check this place out!

I put the pics against an etching board as the matte finish felt better on the board and the pics adhered a little better. I tried using actual poster board, however, whenever I use paints and or glitter, depending on the water content of the paint the paper curls. Technically you're not supposed to use etching board outside etching, however, it is a crafters that many people use this for photos. They are $$ at Michael's but I was able to score a decent number with shipping for a reasonable price.
