The problem that I sent my 50-yr-old Kenmore machine in for, a very-tight flywheel, wasn't…read morerepaired. I called, and he agreed to look at it again at my request, but said that he didn't know what else could be done. He said that he deep oiled it, and that it was stitching well. I knew the latter, and had just oiled it myself. I'm disappointed. I can barely turn it with my 71-yr-old arm. $165, and we took it out of the cabinet, took it to his home, and picked it back up ourselves.

The lady tried to talk us into spending an extra $400 for new glass. When we told her we just wanted the frame repaired she begrudgingly said ok. 3 months later. No call, so we drop in. The frame hadn't been touched. The clerk said he could fix it today. We ask why it hadn't been repaired before. His answer. " The squeaky wheel gets the oil." Poor business philosophy!

I am sincerely baffled by just how terrible the customer service is here. It's like it's a bad joke…read moreor something. I was extremely thorough and clear with A) what I needed framed and B) when I absolutely had to have it done. I even gave them half of the overpriced estimate just to make sure they could order the material needed. A week later Peggy still had not ordered the material. The piece ended up being 3 days late for the date it was explicitly for. On top of that, it was done incorrectly and Peggy promised to fix it . So I gave her 3 WEEKS to order the correct colored and sized metal plate. I dropped in 3 weeks later and she hadn't ordered it. Half a week later I went back and she had ordered the wrong sized plate and still not inserted into the matting like I explicitly and repeatedly had requested. And this was after 3 emails and two trips up north just to clarify exactly what was ordered. It was at this point that I just gave up and took it to another shop where the people didn't lie and cover it up with excuses.

I went into Broadway on 8/6/25 to have some prints matted. The man that helped me (I think his…read morename was Alex) acted as though I was putting him out and was very condescending to me. He sarcastically questioned why I would want to matt the prints. I told him they were gifts and he replied "the person will probably just remove the matts, not sure why you want to do this?" This was not in a helpful tone at all. Just rude and snarky. He then advised it would be $150 to matt all three prints, as though that would deter me. He looked at me as though I was stupid, and my 12 year old son even suggested we just take our prints and leave the store. Won't ever be back there again.
