Our normal fill company was eight days out, so I began calling every place around Pinellas county, and south to Sarasota. Sunrise not only said they'd fit me in, but for a trivial $75 off-route fee, they could come the next morning instead of waiting a couple days for their normal weekly visit to my area. They showed up right on time and took care of everything; even swapped out my foggy tank gauge so I could see what percentage I was at, which I'd been unable to do for a few years. Five more days on generator and I was ready for a top off the following week, they were back out again on the normal day while everyone else was still a week or more out from being able to get me. The rate per gallon was a bit higher than market, but hard to complain about that when everyone was a week or more out from even being able to service my house.

We did get there just before closing and the staff worked with us efficiently. Vit was the one who helped us! He was great, explained everything to us perfectly. We also grabbed a lock, blankets and some of the green wrap they had there. We were in and out within 10 minutes. This location seems very big, they sell all kinds of packing accessories inside, such as boxes, blankets, straps, ropes, locks, wraps and a lot more. Prices were normal, not expensive. Actually I checked if Home Depot sold some of the things we needed and at this uhaul location it was cheaper by a few bucks.

I scheduled an appointment, The manager, Rachel called me back to let me know they could not install the electrical, only the hitch. I had to cancel since I need the hitch to be legal for towing, When I asked if they could do the job with electrical pigtail on my wife's Ford Escape the manager said yes and gave me a price. I agreed and set up an appointment (2 weeks) to get the correct parts. Today we brought the truck in at 7am. at 8:15 I receive a call from the installer telling me he can't do the electrical. Since I was desperate to have the hitch installed due to our scheduled move I told her to do it. VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS UHAUL!!! Tried to put a review on their site, impossible! I've called for both routine refills and…read moreemergency refills, and each time the response clock seemed to run on "Suburban Time", about seven hours minimum. Most recently, I'll admit I missed checking the tank (apparently we've been very enthusiastic gas users). So I called Suburban Propane to schedule a refill. The automated system told me the wait would be 30 minutes, so I requested a callback at 5:30 PM. That callback came... at 10:30 AM the next day. So much for urgency. Ironically, the only way I managed to get someone out within seven hours of my original call was by reporting a gas leak. That's not a workaround customers should have to discover. They proudly advertise customer service and satisfaction, but my experience reflects the opposite, slow responses, poor communication, and urgency only when safety is on the line. If reliability matters to you, I'd strongly recommend steering clear of this company. ***UPDATE*** Want to make it abundantly clear that the actual service team, "Jeffrey and Braleo" were excellent, and the reason I changed the rating from one star to three.

This company is terrible for the customer. They double charge you and will not fix their billing…read more We have gotten one cylinder exchange every two months for some time now. They said they delivered two tanks in November, charged us for two, but we only received one. We had to order another one in January (per our normal usage of one tank every two months). They will not fix their mistake. They also often push us out from our original delivery date and you just have to hope you don't run out of propane. We will be going elsewhere for our propane needs!
