A while back, I had a flat tire with a nail in it and just dropped into a shop on the Westside where they threw a quick plug in it. Fast forward about 8 months later, and that same tire started slowly losing air. I would fill it up, and it would be low again after a week or so. I knew it had to be related to that old repair or figured there was another nail, but no one could ever find the issue. Other places would just fill it with air and send me on my way. When it got low again, I stopped by Vic's shop. He was busy (which is totally fair since I just dropped in!), but he told me if I came back in 30 minutes, he could check it out. When I returned, Vic was super thorough. He could not see anything on the surface, so he actually took the tire off to do a deeper check. He suggested the original plug might be leaking and explained why he much prefers a full patch. Together, we decided to patch where the plug was originally to see if that helps. I even told Vic that if the tire needed to be replaced, I was totally okay with that. He easily could have told me I needed a new tire just to make a buck, but instead, he said, "Let's try the patch first since your tires are fairly new and in great condition." It has been a few weeks now and my tire pressure has held completely normal! Vic is a stand-up guy with real integrity. I will definitely be coming back to him for all my car needs!!!

Vic, the owner, is truly a rare find; he balances deep technical knowledge with a genuine friendliness that makes every visit stress-free. It is hard to find a business today that is so consistently straightforward and expedient with vehicle servicing. I make it a point to bring my car in every 3,000 miles for an oil change, and Vic always provides what feels like five-star treatment. Beyond routine maintenance, he has shown real care when I've been in a bind. For instance, when I had a flat tire last month due to normal wear, Vic prioritized the repair the very next morning, ensuring I was back on the road and ready for work by 10:00 AM. His dedication to his customers is evident, and I truly appreciate the peace of mind he provides.

He informed me of what was leaking and told me to bring the car back the next day as he was quite busy that morning already. It was a valve cover gasket that needed to be replaced. I also asked to have the transmission fluid drained and replaced. Costs to repair these items were a little over 1K but do come with warranty (see paper receipt for info) He quoted that it would be ready by the end of the day around 2-3pm. Once I arrived at the shop, my car was ready as quoted. He has a really good team working well together to get customers' cars out in a timely manner. So far, my car is running well, and I will continue to monitor for any oil leaks (crossing my fingers that we nipped the issue) and I had a great experience overall.

My late father brought his truck to him for repair in July 2025 for P1518 error code. They worked on it and he was charged almost 900 for removing and replacing the Intake manifold runner control valve. He died not even 2 weeks later. The truck had barely been used by my late elderly mother. I then took it to him for smog check in March and it failed due to P0340 sensor. I found the documentation for the repair and took it for him to look at it because according to Google AI the sensors are related. he claimed that they were not related and that it had been too long for warranty. I had hoped that when i showed him that they had worked on it and that the failures were related he would honor the warranty and correct the issue. But even though i showed him the death certificate and hoping he would honor his warranty and work due to the circumstances. He stated to me that he didnt work for free and that his warranty was either 6k miles or 90 days. He wanted to charge me 225 to diagnose when i asked him if he could check it for the problem he corrected previously, He said he didnt work for free again. That is a horrible way to treat someone. My late father had been bringing his truck here for smog and work for a while now. And he was very rude to me for asking questions both times that i was in the shop. And im left wondering if the issues are related and they never corrected the problem the first time. Also if my late father had been able to drive the truck more and would have found the problem earlier, since it has been sitting for months. see "AI Overview Yes, Ford F-150 error codes P0340 (Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit) and P1518 (Intake Manifold Runner Control - Stuck Open) are frequently related, particularly in 4.2L, 4.6L, and 5.4L engines, often pointing to a shared electrical issue, failing PCM, or severe engine performance issues causing multiple failures. Both codes together typically suggest wiring harness problems or low battery voltage, which can cause sensors to fail.
