Well, what can I say ... these guys stole my watch from my car. They did the work I hired them to do, but not without rummaging through all of my personal items and STEALING a beautiful gold watch that my father had given me as a gift. Normally, I always grab all of my items before getting my car worked on but I was distracted by phone calls and making another appointment on time. Unfortunately, this was a terrible mistake as I put my trust in the wrong people. Once I had noticed my watch was missing, I went back first thing the following morning to talk to the manager. The second I pulled into the parking lot, all of the employees stopped what they were doing and stared at me. I could see it in their faces that they knew what I was coming back for. Upon confrontation, the owner denied that he would ever have something like this happen and that customers often leave "thousands of dollars" in their vehicles and have never had an issue. I call BS. The owner was definitely in on the whole operation and I have a feeling this isn't the first time they've RIPPED OFF THEIR OWN CUSTOMERS. Long story short, I may never see this watch again but at least I can warn all of you to BE CAREFUL with these people. They aren't as trusting as they come off to be and made absolutely ZERO effort to address the issue of my stolen items. It has taken me a long time to do this review, in apart, because of the quality of work that I received from the owners of this shop. However, I must warn anyone who decides to take their car to their shop - you MUST remove anything that is valuable from your car prior to taking your car to their shop. I put my iPod in my glove compartment and forgot to take it out before leaving my car with them overnight. I didn't really think about the iPod until an hour after I picked up the car the next day. When I looked inside the glove compartment, it was GONE! I called the shop asking if anyone has seen an iPod and I was told that no one there has seen an iPod anywhere. I read 2 reviews from 2015 and 2018 that mentioned about items that have gone missing when they took their car to their shop, but I just dismissed them. However, I always had it in the back of my mind to never leave anything that people might find tempting. I was distracted that day because I didn't realize that I needed to leave my car overnight for them to diagnose the issue. In the end, they were not able to fix the problem and I lost an iPod that was a gift to me. Needless to say, I will never go back to their shop and will forewarn others to be mindful of their stuff when they go to their shop. read more

I have been going to LA'S Auto for at least 15 years. My friend told me about how amazing her mechanic was. She was telling me about how they had fixed up her supper old car and how low the cost was. When I first came to LA's Auto, I price shopped. Got quotes from from Henry, then got quotes from many other places. Everytime LA's Auto was the best price. I saved hundreds of dollars when I had them change my timing belt. They are always true to the time. If something comes up that we did not discuss. They call me and let me know. At this point, I tell them to please fix whatever they see that needs it! Usually if it is a small thing, they fix it. A big thing, ( they call me). Where do I begin!!! About a year ago I had an issue with my car. I was busy with 2 jobs so I had my brother take it to a local mechanic. They charged me 80 dollars for an engine diagnostic and quoted me 1000 dollars to fix the issue with my thermostat housing. That was too steep so Luckily I asked my brother in law for a reference. He referred me to LA auto repair.. I can't remember if Henry charged me for the engine diagnostic or not but he not only found an issue with my thermostat housing but also an issue with my water pumped. He replaced the thermostat housing and fixed the pump for about half of what the other mechanic quoted me. Not one problem since then!! Always come here for my oil changes and charges half of the jiffy lube charges. He does this in the hopes that you stay with him for future issues. Most HONEST mechanic i have ever met!!!!! My parents live nearby and go to Henry for all their car problems. All their friends go to him, too. This is the only place in the area that I have been recommended, and very strongly. My parents and their friends aren't very Yelp savy, hence limited reviews. When my car was acting up while visiting my parents, my mother was adamant, "Don't go to anyone else. He's the best." So I did. And really it's a great shop. They are respectful, helpful, informative. He pointed out that the problem wasn't as serious as we thought and charged a really low fee. Car is running great. The dealership inspected the car and told me I needed 3 new sensors in the emissions system at the cost of about $1100. Plus, my rear brake cylinders were leaking and that would cost me $502. I wish I had more time to write a longer review, suffice it to say that Henry is honest, knowledgeable, friendly, and reasonable. He will never do work that is not necessary. While I think very positively of Henry and his work, Is $145 reasonable for rear brakes on a 2000 Ford? Pads were less than $25, rest is labor for putting pads on. Says all rotors will need some resurfacing. I think this is pretty high. What do think? I still give high review as I will have the next job be the deciding factor. I needed front brakes as well, and I had some time. In one evening of online shopping, and a couple hours, I installed new rotors and new pads for the front. I jacked it up, placed on stands and within an 1-2 hours(I took my time and followed steps, quick bite in between), I had it done. Pads and rotors total cost $110 for the front left and right. I got Wagner lifetime guarantee parts to avoid any anomalies. Would have been faster if the rotors came off easy. No such luck. Cost savings is huge, but nothing compared to the satisfaction of knowing I did the work myself. Feels good to get your hands dirty once in a while( I wore gloves), you know what I mean. read more

They even went an extra mile to fix the noise I was hearing from the front of my car by adjusting some panels and replacing some missing clips, and they did not charge me or make me feel incline to pay extra for the additional service! My husband took our motorhome to get fix and We were very disappointed when he said that he couldn't work on it after he had it on his shop for over a week, due to some type of inspection. Anyway long story short when my husband brought the motorhome back he find out our Xbox missing and so the search started we come to find out someone in the shop went trough our personal stuff ssn passports and all documents we had in the back were they had no business looking, they also took my laptop with all my information in it. Now I'm not blaming him but someone somehow in his shop went and had all the time to go trough my PERSONAL stuff that is more valuable than the material ones, but couldn't fix a simple lick the motorhome had!!
