Have you ever met someone and thought...how have I survived this long without them?!? That's how I feel about Shawn. I had a 2013 Hyundai Elantra with 170k+ miles on it and the past 1-2 years she's been going downhill. I remember finding Shawn on yelp and he told me to bring my car in the next day. He fixed it that same day and she was perfect! Unfortunately, the car just kept falling apart (I would commute 45-50 miles a day and 150+ miles every weekend) so I had to come in a few more times. Honestly wow! Just wow! Anytime you need a major repair on a car it's nerve racking, unsettling and causes way more of a headache than anyone would like to have. Not with these gentlemen. Over my lifetime I've done auto repairs and while I'm the Marine Corps often did regular maintenance on humvees and other vehicles, so the days of getting under the hood are behind me. That being said I was nervous to find an auto repair shop in my area who was not only honest but also affordable and would treat my car the way that they would treat their own personal owned vehicle. That's exactly what they did here! First, I asked for a quote through Yelp a water pump and thermostat change on a 2006 BMW 325i and like any other price conscious shopper I went requested quotes from other shops. Stuttgart Garage beat the next best price almost by 50%! Immediately I had to respond asking if they were genuine BMW parts and to my surprise the shop used all 100% oem parts in all of their vehicles. Mind blown. When I asked how soon could they get the vehicle in for repair, again they surprised me by responding with, "bring it in tomorrow and we can get the job done." Within 24 hours of bringing asking when I could bring the car in they not only completed the requested repair, they also didn't try to aggressively upsell me on parts or services that were unnecessary. This shop is 100% honest and incredibly affordable. If you've read this far you might remember me saying I also wanted a shop that would care for my car as if it were their own. Well after they finished the repair they not only washed the car but cleaned my entire engine bay out. No extra charge either! Just straight up excellent customer service. From the moment I arrived the guys were great! Nice guys. Awesome service. They listen intently to understand the problem if the problem is something they cannot handle they will let you know right away. When work on your car they will explain to you the process, the parts they need to work/replace and labor. My car had some battery issues and they stayed in longer and replaced it with a loaner as they couldn't get the new one, just so I can keep the car untill they get a new battery for me. I was drawn to this business due to the favorable Yelp reviews. I believe many of the reviews are well deserved. My first experience with Sean (spelling might be wrong) was very positive, he was very honest and he was very straight forward which I appreciated. However, I had him and his guys do a full tune up on my 1948 Chevy Fleetline. Originally the sound of my V8 small block sounded improved, however, my cold start issues continued and more importantly the oil leak from the valve gasket covers not only continued... it got worse. That leak was my initial reason for having a tune up done. My biggest issue was when I paid a $1000 plus dollars for a full tune up, I also paid for a new air filter. I was informed that they had difficulty securing a proper fitting air filter but one was to be secured in a couple days and that I would be called to come in when it became available for install. However, 3 weeks passed and I received no call. I texted Sean's cell to follow up but received no response. 2 days later I called to follow up and Sean told me he'd call me right back. He didn't call back. This business lost a potential long term customer. I am now with another business who seems to be more knowledgeable about classic cars and is fixing my valve cover gasket leak and replacing the air filter that I am paying a second time for. Whether you're running a business or just being a decent human being... do what you say you are going to do. read more
