Troy is THE Man! He fixed my curb rash for my Model 3 in literally 15 mins. and it was pretty bad too. Almost half the rim was scratched and there were a few deep spots also. My wife recently introduced our Model Y rim to the curb. Thinking we were going to have to buy a new rim I was a little angry. I jumped on some of the Tesla forums and started researching to see what others have done about getting a single rim from Tesla or repairs. Someone mentioned local rim repair shops could normally fix curb rash or that Tesla will sometimes recommend mobile rim repair companies. I got on Yelp to look for local companies and found Cal Auto Tech. The reviews and pictures told me I found the company I wanted to use. I called Troy and sent him some pictures of the rim via text. He said he could absolutely do it. Since it was my day off I had asked if he was available, he said yes and was able to come out to my house in Livermore. I really appreciated the fact he was able to do it same day. When he showed up, he sent a text letting me know he was here. I went outside, met with him, showed him the damage and let him do his thing. I kid you not, less than 30 minutes later he sent me a text saying he was done. Yo, Troy is the guru of rim repair, the wifey bounced the rim off the curb so hard, I felt my wallet shake, and with the 22in Model X rims!
