Funny hours, open seasonally part of the week. THIS IS NO LONGER TRUE. There is a new owner and she wants to make the place a year round destination. selling high end pies and pastries etc in addtion to cider and donuts.

The cider is real great too, and quite a deal ($5/gallon) compared to other orchards in the area. The shop is quant and the staff are always very pleasant. They make some amazing looking pies; I've only tried the blackberry one but it was very good. Such amazingly tender yet flaky crust! Unlike another review here, I found the apples to be pretty reasonably priced. There's only three orchards in the Jackson area and this orchard's prices seem fair. Compared to parts of the state where growers practically give bushels away during peak season, any offering around here would seem steep. You can get lower prices farther away, but you're probably wasting all that saved money on gas, not to mention the time to drive it. Empire apples (my favourite!) here are the best out of anywhere I've tried.

I ordered a regular size cone and definitely could have gotten the junior- at some places junior cones are really really tiny for little kids, but my regular was pretty huge so I'm guessing the junior is just a normal sized cone at this place! They only offer cake cones and waffle cones though, which was a slight bummer since sugar cones are my favorite. Still, I would definitely stop in again! They got me financed and scheduled my mower for next-day delivery, all within about an hour. I also ended up purchasing a Stihl weed wacker while I was there because I was so impressed with the experience. The mower has been a great value. It has saved me both time and money compared to my old John Deere lawn tractor, which was constantly breaking down. The Exmark handled my overgrown yard with ease, and now it only takes me about 1.5 hours to mow instead of 3 hours with the old John Deere. I even got a free Exmark hat and coffee mug. (I call it my $7,000 hat--the mower is just a cool bonus! ) I would highly recommend Kings Equipment Group to anyone looking for quality equipment and great customer service.

I was happy to know of another gift option in the area and was looking forward to coming back. I have now attempted to visit twice but was completely turned off by the fact the owner and one other person (possibly employee) were standing right at the entryway smoking cigarettes. Major turnoff!!! It has happened twice now (once only the owner; once with two people). I tried to give them a chance. So, I went around the corner and spent my money at Rustic Market Co. I really liked the store offerings of the Jackson Candle Co. and layout of the store but until I can visit without being exposed to secondhand smoke to get in, I won't be visiting. That's really too bad.
