There are so few options like this around here. However, I have to knock off a couple of stars over something that should be very fixable. This is done in the sincere hope the management can see this feedback and change things, which will only increase their chance of success. What is the issue? The vibe. Concurring with Heather M below, the staff seems kind of cold and standoff-ish. Outside of bare-minimum service pleasantries, which are always fine, there is little to no other effort to engage and create an upbeat environment. The staff just doesn't seem to know what to do when not actually serving. They need to engage more, show some energy, and just plain seem friendlier. If the owners can fix that issue, they will have a winning total formula here. Perhaps make one Red Bull per hour mandatory for the staff! Edit: I stopped in again for the awesome beer, and things were about the same. Will keep bringing my business in hope, though...

So I wondered on over and looked over their menu. Lots of good options and I selected Cowboy Chicken Sandwich. I chose well. Nice thick crispy fried chicken breast, a couple slices of bacon, melted American cheese and a hand battered onion ring on top. I got the BBQ on the side since it was a to-go order. This sandwich did not disappoint. Everything worked. The BBQ sauce had just enough of a bite very good. The only thing I would do different is sub the fries for onion rings. The fries were frozen from a bag. The ORs were hand battered and d do good.

They said they will be in the location on 80 in front of China King Buffet from Tues to Sat for awhile I think. They have Facebook and such sites to look up their times and locations and we posted a picture of that too. We each tried the same 3 things. Our favorite by far were the "Poutine MAC Fries"....a large order of fried in a to go box covered in brown gravy, macaroni and bacon pieces. That was really good. We each tried 2 sliders and they were both good but we though the bread held them back meaning the buns could have been thinner and better if buttered and toasted too. The Bacon MAC slider is just that and good anyway and we liked the Black &Bruiser too with its Bleu Cheese and bacon. Will get with the onions next time:) This is a neat idea and we will probably be back weekly for a while.

So overall the service was very slow. When they brought the food and the tray of condiments over they only had one ketchup on it vs the traditional full tray of options. The burgers were still cold and the buns were stale/hard. I will say the gravy for chicken strips was flavorful and very hot! Overall not the experience we wanted to have. Prices are a little higher than your typical food chain but the portions are larger. The restaurant is large and we found good seating. They also have high chairs available. The place was so smoky and smelly it would explain why my order was so bad. I got a whataburger classic burger and when I bit into it, all I could taste was mustard and ketchup. I lifted the bun and there was a pool of each and more condiments than meat. When I took it back in and asked the manager if that was normal she wouldn't answer and would only offer to remake it. So I ordered that one plain and added the condiments myself but the burger still didn't taste like I remember when visiting Texas. So sad to see them go so far downhill. A week later we had an rv camper pull in next to us and say the same quality issues with the whataburger in Sugarland. They two said that was their last visit.
