And it did not disappoint. The dish was absolutely delightful. I chose a level 5 for the heat, which ended up being the perfect balance. I enjoy spice, but not so much that I can't actually enjoy the food. Honestly, next time I'd probably go up to about a level 7. I also ordered a Hurricane, which I really enjoyed, and they brought out complimentary bread to start things off. Which is always a nice touch. I sat at the bar where you can watch the chefs work, and that really added to the experience. The atmosphere felt lively without being overwhelming, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. Overall, I truly enjoyed the experience and would definitely come back again.

I can't remember our waiters name But he was very nice and explained what oyster they had available what the market price was and checked in on us during our meal. This place reminded me of the rainforest Cafe as the outside of it had water all around it with "waterfalls". We were able to sit at a table and watch the Knights game while we ate a dozen oysters, I can't remember what the name of them were. We followed that up with a clam steamer in the garlic sauce. That sauce was incredible to dip your bread in! To finish up the meal, We had the chicken gumbo with medium heat. That was the perfect amount of heat for me and I've never had okra that wasn't fried before! I would definitely come back just for the gumbo.

Only thing I'd change, and I know it's tradition, is to not put the fish on top of the chips. Messed those chips up. Got the haddock and it was amazing. Nice crispy batter on the outside. It was flavorful and crispy. Fish inside was tender and delicious. Tartar sauce was rich and a little tangy. Basically perfectly executed. It was really hot which is another reason to figure a way to let it rest and cool down while you dive on the chips. These are small quibbles.

I like the simple menu they offer. The prices are reasonable. Nice staff and good service. Simple service - order your food and drinks at the counter and wait to be seated. We dined in for the first time and we were very pleased with the service and taste of the Fish and Chips we ordered the Haddock and Catfish. Big pieces of the Fish and portions of the hand-cut chips were perfect. The Clam Chowder was filled with delicious clams and potatoes. The Battered Sausage with Curry sauce on the side was different but good. I liked the curry sauce. I also dipped the hand-cut chips in the curry sauce that was another good one (it was something that I seen people were doing and so I did the same :) I liked that the tables had the set up of napkins and all the necessary condiments needed for such a place as The Codfather. I'm glad we stopped in we will be back.

Different flavors such as the salted egg had a good mellow eggy flavor mashed inside. I don't care about the extra high cholesterol count between all that butter and egg yolk because it tastes so dang delicious. The place was simply decorated with the usual seafood decor. It is where the Walmart shopping area is. Don't think it is in the best location for this type of food but would like to see this place branch out to other areas around town since coming at dinner time was pretty quiet here with about 2 tables sat there and we were 1 of them. It's probably a good thing this place is far from me and hard to get to because if it was closer, I would go more and clog up my arteries and gain a ton of weight! Haha! Service was good and was attentive. Wished the spice level was much higher like I asked for but the flavors were all there so I didn't get all crabby about it and just ate my Yummy Crab!

Both were so good with the seafood being perfectly cooked. This week, I had their steak and fries special and their loaded garlic pasta... Bothe dishes were so good. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fries were crunchy and really flavorful. The loaded garlic pasta had shrimp, egg, and crushed chicharon flakes. It was really good. Wanted seconds on both. Also had a dozen raw oysters which tasted so fresh... Prices are very reasonable and staff very friendly. As they say, the best food is usually found at family-owned places. I will definitely return !!!!

The ambiance was super casual and kind of weird, and the booth seating was all scratched up. Water was served in paper cups, which wasn't a huge deal, but definitely added to the overall vibe. We ordered the seafood boil for two with a side of grits. The grits were completely runny -- like actual soup. We let them sit for a while hoping they'd thicken up, but they never did. Totally inedible. As for the seafood boil, the best thing in it was honestly the corn. The snow crab was decent, shrimp was okay, but the lobster tail looked gray and immediately gave me the feeling that I probably shouldn't finish it unless I wanted to risk getting sick. Service was mid at best, nothing terrible but definitely not enough to make up for the food. Overall, this just wasn't a good experience for us. We won't be back and unfortunately can't recommend it.

Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. After taking our order, our waitress was largely inattentive and never came back to check on us throughout the meal. All five of our water glasses remained empty, and it felt like our table was overlooked while attention was given to others. Once we finished eating, we also had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes before she returned so we could get our check. Overall, the food was excellent, but the lack of service took away from what could have been a much better dining experience.
