Sushi
Vanesa P.

We saw this place on a tik tok video and decided to give it a try. Parking was pretty packed but we were able to find one. Walking In it took a few minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. We were taken to a booth and given menus. The menus were super dirty and sticky. Asked for clean ones and well they were all the same. Family ordered and they brought everything at different times so I felt like we didint eat entirely as a family. Sushi was ok. We got a Gordita and honestly tasted like it was fried in old oil. We also got a tostada de ceviche and lacked a lot of flavor. They had lice band and honestly that was the best thing of the night. I don't see myself coming back.

We were excited to try the restaurant occupying the old Hush Puppies building, and Antojitos Sinaloa (Sushi & Mexican Food) did not disappoint. The menu is printed in Spanish, but even though we don't speak Spanish, that wasn't an issue using Google Translate on our phones...it just took us longer to peruse the menu & decide. Our server, Adriana, was friendly, kind, and patient. We ordered our drinks & a Cheetos Roll, and then she gave us plenty of time (after we old her we were still translating the menu). My girlfriend doesn't care for raw fish in traditional sushi, so she was excited about the unique Mexican sushi rolls offered at Antojitos Sinaloa. We shared a Cheetos Roll (10 pcs), 2 Shrimp Empanadas, 2 Tacos (Birria), and an order of Enchiladas Caseras (carnitas, verdes). The filling in the empanadas were fresh, and we really enjoyed the dough (soft instead of crispy & hard). The Birria tacos were full of tender meat & the consume flavorful & not overly oily (like others I've had elsewhere). We shared the Enchiladas meal, which came with 3, and included beans & rice. The carnitas were moist & the verde sauce was sooooo good (not spicy). There are plenty of condiments on the table to add "spicy" as you see fit, including the small red salsa (fiery) included with your complimentary chips & salsa (2 kinds) & beans. Our server, Adriana, checked on us often, as well as others, and our plates were cleared as we emptied them. She even offered us refills on our horchatas, which was a plus we never expected. The music was loud & festive, but it was a Friday night, so maybe louder than a regular weekday (?). There were also a couple of roving musicians, in addition to someone peddling trinkets, coming by the tables. They were very kind and moved on with a simple "no thank you"...'cause we were here for food and conversation with each other. We shared a Rice Pudding to end our meal. It was "homemade", with swirls of cinnamon & not overly sweet. We can't wait to come back for breakfast (served all day according to their business sign by the street/entrance).

If you want great food with a great ambiance this is your place! Lots to choose from and the cocktails are great also!

Pets welcome

THE WORST SERVICE!! We literally walked in with our service animal, there was no sign on the door prohibiting any pets at all. We had already order we had already begun to eat with 2 remaining orders to deliver. All of a sudden the manager nears our table immediately saying we could not be there with our dog because people were complaining... really ??? She automatically assumed that she was not a service animal. We decided to leave. It wasn't worth staying there. Especially where there is no sign and on the website it says pets welcome. The only nice person there was our waiter, she apologize as she was unaware that her manager did that to us.

Food was amazing delicious staff is very friendly and attentive to everyone needs! Family restaurant

Hands down one of my favorite and most affordable taco spots!…read more It's located next to a busy plaza so parking can be quite difficult They're open daily 10am-2pm. Definitely recommend going when they first open because otherwise it doesn't matter the time or day of the week, the lines are extremely long! Love how spacious the restaurant and how organized it is! Once inside the restaurant, there are several lines and you just line up according to which meat and item you want. The longest lines are definitely the asada and adobada (pork)! Once you reach the front of the line, you just tell the staff which and how many of the item you want, as well as any customizations to it. After you get your order, you just head to the cashier line and paying is so easy and convenient! Pricing is reasonable. - Tacos, tostadas, taco aztecas - $4.12 - Sopes, quesadillas, vampiras, & mulas - $7.54. - fries with meat - $22.18+ - soft drinks - $3.31 Arrived at 11am on Sunday and it was already super crowded. Stood in the asada line for at least half an hour but the wait was so worth it! Got 3 Asada Tacos and the tortilla was so soft, hot, and fresh. It was stuffed with plenty of tender beef! The beef was packed with flavor and marinated so well! The pico de gallo was so delicious, as well as the salsa and guac. The Horchata was ok and nothing special since it wasn't made from scratch like the phenomenal tacos! Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and my food. Definitely would recommend and return!

SO GOOD! Favorite spot of the day , hands down. What a great way to end our day trip to Vegas!…read more We started with two appetizers which were more on an amuse bouche. Small in size but packed with flavor. The Himachi? We could've eaten ten of them. Deeeelicious. The main course came out while I stepped away for a few minutes so I missed the fire show, but got to see it when another table got it later. The taste of the beef was absolutely amazing and loved the accrucements that accompanied it as well. We ended our meal with an almost missed Tres Leches. (Silly me didn't ask for the dessert menu, almost had grounds for being left in Las Vegas!). I'm so glad we circled back and got it, cause it was fan freakin tastic Service also was amazing - our server was so patient and kind

I came here for brunch, and the menu was small but tasty. I had green juice, coffee, and sparkling water. I was for sure very thirsty. For food, I shared a potato flauntas which is a must order! The taste was great and super flavorful with the sauce all over it. I ordered a gem salad because I was feeling like I wasn't eating enough vegetables at all during this trip. Service was super nice and overall I did enjoy all the drinks and got super hydrated. Wouldn't mind coming back to check out their dinner options for sure.

I'm very picky about Mexican food being from Phoenix and eating it at least 1-2 times a week there…read more I've tried a few other recommended Mexican restaurants and Carolinas did not disappoint!!! The salsas, guac, and their chips...out of this world flavor! Loved the tomatillo based salsa...SO good! I ordered the Cheese enchiladas as it's been years since ai had good enchiladas....ordered them with the Tinga chicken and they were amazing!!! The flavors were excellent, the cheese melted just right, and the chicken so flavorful and tender. I also ordered the Horchata hoping a praying it wasn't the watered down stuff you find everywhere....nope! It was creamy, thick but not too thick, cinnamon, rice, and I tasted a hint of a little something else...nutmeg.....surprised and blew my mind. I will most definitely be coming back here to order food again! So amazing!!!

They do have chips & salsa for a charge, but the chips are excellent and the salsa is yummy. We ordered birria egg rolls and our guests got Vegan enchiladas and tacos.
