And it did not disappoint. The dish was absolutely delightful. I chose a level 5 for the heat, which ended up being the perfect balance. I enjoy spice, but not so much that I can't actually enjoy the food. Honestly, next time I'd probably go up to about a level 7. I also ordered a Hurricane, which I really enjoyed, and they brought out complimentary bread to start things off. Which is always a nice touch. I sat at the bar where you can watch the chefs work, and that really added to the experience. The atmosphere felt lively without being overwhelming, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. Overall, I truly enjoyed the experience and would definitely come back again.

This place reminded me of the rainforest Cafe as the outside of it had water all around it with "waterfalls". We were able to sit at a table and watch the Knights game while we ate a dozen oysters, I can't remember what the name of them were. We followed that up with a clam steamer in the garlic sauce. That sauce was incredible to dip your bread in! To finish up the meal, We had the chicken gumbo with medium heat. That was the perfect amount of heat for me and I've never had okra that wasn't fried before! I would definitely come back just for the gumbo.

It was lovely weather so I sat outside on the tavern side as it was fairly crowded and I didn't have a reservation. I don't care to sit inside as the restaurant side is very noisy. The inside of the tasteful bar side is quieter. I have eaten there in the past and felt very comfortable. I ordered The Herbalist: Prairie organic gin, fresh lime, muddled basil & mint. I had it with vodka, per the waitress's suggestion. It was ok, but the overpowering taste of mint reminded me of a mint mojito with lime overtones, and the basil wasn't even a footnote. If you do like mojitos though, then this would be good if you enjoy a twist of lime as your background notes. It leans to the refreshing versus cloyingly sweet. Stephanie, my waitress, asked how I liked the drink and when she found out I did not care for it, gallantly exchanged it with an Old Fashioned. No complaints on that drink. Great for sipping. I ordered the Blackened Wild Ono (Wahoo) with a Potato bun / cabbage slaw / cilantro / pickled onion / remoulade. I asked her to just put the bun on the side as I wanted to just enjoy the fish as I had not had it in ages. I realized it came with French fries and so I asked if they could make them extra crispy. The fish was blackened and so I expected some saltiness, but it was so overbearing and the fish itself was a bit overcooked. But because I was incredibly hungry, by time the fish came out, I decided I would just eat it. The Frenchfries were perfect, and the bread that came with my drink at the start of evening helped to soak up the saltiness along with my water. When it came time for the check, Stephanie asked me how the Ono was. I let her know that her service was impeccable (it really was, (very patient, professional, and caring), but that in the future maybe to not salt the fish so much and to not grill/sear so long. My only intent was trying to just be helpful for the next customer. When she came back she said she talked to her manager and they would not charge me for the Ono! I was surprised of course as I had eaten it and most of the fries. But she said they just wanted to make things right. I have to say I was very surprised and grateful with the care that they continue to express with their customers. Thank you for making my evening Stephanie and King's Fish House. I will be back.

Then I got the Wild Ross Sea Chilean Sea Bass, which is way out of the norm for me, but it was just as good! Not an overly large order, which was perfect as the app kinda started to fill me up. AJ was our server and he was fast and friendly and very knowledgeable about what was on the menu. I actually took his recommendation on the fish. The manager came by, I forget his name right now, but he customarily asked about our food and service, but then we started taking about a little of everything else. He was just as knowledgeable about the food and the history of the place. I would highly recommend this place for seafood. We will definitely be going back in the future.

The Red wine mignonette with the Anchovy chili lime sauce and Habanero sauce combination has to be the perfect trio. (Hidden technique, add a bit of wasabi onto the oyster!) (discovered by my sister) The service was a tad slow at first and other people's orders came out before ours even though we sat first. A few orders were forgotten but I am giving Cin-Cin a 5-star review solely because of Chef V. Chef V approached our table and offered to take our order after noticing our table was the only empty table in the dining room. He greeted us professionally and took our order after we waited for 20 minutes and he did a fantastic job. His hospitality is great and he took accountability for the service being slow, and that is what a restaurant should strive for when it comes to their staff. Ana (Anna)? Also provided fantastic service and kept watch of our table to make sure that we got everything that we needed. I would recommend her as your server if you want a pleasant experience where your server cares about your time at the restaurant. The ambiance is cool! If you ever come dine here, sit at the bar and watch the chefs shuck the oysters! It's definitely relaxing and 100% worth the money. Thank you so much Chef V for recovering our experience. When your guests order appetizers, I would recommend to ask them if they would also like to order their entrees instead of saying "I'll start you off with your appetizers" or Try to finish our sentences for us when we weren't done ordering. (We had to wait an extra 25 minutes just to have Chef V come take our entree orders for us....) 5. Your prebussing capabilities were great. But I feel like you were trying to rotate your tables too quick when the restaurant wasn't busy and there wasn't a waitlist. After, we got the crispy rice and a few handrolls (spicy tuna, shrimp tempura). I highly recommend asking for their spicy habanero sauce. It's actually spicy! (Which I love). I can see myself being a regular here. A nice place to stop by for happy hour for some drinks, oysters and a great time.

Who wants two big loaves of bread bowl??? The salad adequate-- a big bowl of romaine with croutons with a side of dressing. All in all not worth the over $150 it cost. Not in the least! And they charge an extra 3% if you use a credit card. We will not be back.

    Finally tried takeout from this new Cajun/seafood jazz club (all my favorite things in one package)…read moreafter venturing over one night only to discover they had closed up early. Since their recent opening, they have had some slow nights that warranted closing up earlier than their posted hours -- something to keep in mind. They also only seem to be serving "mocktails" at the moment (no alcohol). Dine in to enjoy live music on weekends! So how's the food? I really had high hopes because I enjoy some good Cajun-style seafood and their menu (especially during weekends) offers great variety from Frog Legs and Oysters "Rockafella" to Gumbo and Seafood Boil. They even offer several Vegan entrees and dessert. Unfortunately, the dishes I tried just didn't hit as expected. Surf & Turf Burger. Big, plump shrimp with no shortage of ooey gooey cheese but even with the plethora of sauces and seasonings, the flavors didn't quite pop. Just a standard burger with added shrimp. Good bun, though, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. Grilled Salmon & Shrimp. Again, great presentation of seafood and creamy sauce filled with various goodies like crawfish, all WITH a generous helping of cheese grits. Sounds heavenly but not a dish for which I'd go out of my way. Shrimp was perfectly tender but salmon was dry and definitely needed the sauce. Good Sizzler/Texas style garlic toast on the side. Seafood Potato With Salad. Okay, this was the main event that drew me to this place but WOW, was I disappointed. It was literally a baked potato broiled with seafood and cheese. I expected much more flavor. For some reason, the cheese grits accompanying this dish had an unpleasantly pungent, foot-like aroma and taste that was not as noticeable in the Salmon dish, possibly attributed to the cheese blend? I really wanted to report back with glowing praises, especially since the owners and staff are so warm and welcoming! I hope my remarks help this business grow and improve with time. I would still return for the music and intimate, speakeasy atmosphere.
