...,....,, This time was eating inside, When the lady served my food, i felt a weird smell, Then I started eating the beans and rice with my tortilla and by the time I ate the first swrimp y really felt bad taste and the smell was coming from that as well as flavor,so I tried the salad and it was the same. Then the lady came to my table and asked me if everything was ok. So i answered " No " I gave her my credit card and said please charge this food in my card. Not only that she did nothing but to take my card but did not said a word, so I approached the front to sign receipt and leave therefore I asked her co worker if he was on charge, he said yes. Then I told him that food is not good, smells and tastes bad, I said also I left it on the table, I took a pic also of the second and last swrimp I ate to show that they were never clean before cooking them. It's always the small restaurants that taste authentic and have awesome service! I came with a party of 7 on a Saturday night and there was no wait time. You are able to sit where ever you like and the waitress brings the menu. They have a ton of sea food options and for a reasonable price. The service is exceptional. The waitress was so attentive and always made sure our table was cleared of any dishes that were empty and asked if we needed anything else. It's a place I would return to. There were a few musicians who took song requests, but I'm sure you needed to tip them afterwards. They played really well and made the restaurant feel lively. Looking back, I could not believe it had been 2 years since I'd visited Mariscos Vallarta. I remembered the first time I came the food was very good, so I was happy and excited to be back. The restaurant layout and seating hasn't changed, it is still small and mighty. It gets busy too, so when we arrived it was a good time, before noon because we were able to get a table and our order taken quickly. The location of the restaurant is in an old building, and they do fry some foods in Mariscos Vallarta, so it does have a fried food smell to it. It is nothing alarming, but I feel like when we left, we smelled a like oil. This particular day, we had a taco and some of their bacon wrapped shrimp, the camarones a la costa azul. I had the Campechana camaron y pulpo, a shrimp and octopus cocktel- and a preparada; a prepared drink with pacifico. Everything was as delicious as I remembered. It hit the spot, and it left me satisfied. The seafood tasted fresh, the bacon wrapped shrimp was hot and delicious, and the price they charge for the amount of food you get is worth it absolutely. The service was top notch, our server kept checking on us, she was prepared with everything we would need, and our food came out quickly. A very simple place with decent food at a fair price. Nothing to write home about, but nothing to sneer at either. No decor to speak of - an open kitchen with diner-style seating. But the food is consistently tasty. I was concerned when my shrimp arrived looking like it might be dry and overcooked. Not to worry! It was perfect. A great hole in the wall! The food is incredible, prices are fair. Service is alright, but the quality of the food is worth it. Our family really enjoyed the Oysters, Fish Tacos, Shrimp Tacos, Aguachiles, and more! My only complaint would be the 4% service charge that was added for credit card transactions. Our bill was over $200, so it was about an $8 charge just to use card. This is something I hope would change because almost everyone uses credit cards nowadays, and most credit card companies don't charge that high of transaction fees. read more

It's a local hidden spot and the fully loaded oysters are 10/10 and reminds me of authentic mexican seafood from mexico. They have cheap drinks and it's a hole in a wall gem. The service is excellent. Ambiance is lit dive bar. read more

This is my girl's go to spot for ceviche in Las Vegas and when I told her I was a fan of ceviche but didn't know of a good spot, she took me here immediately. I was a little weary mainly because of the rough location and the bars on the windows but the inside was very bright and welcoming and the employees were very genuine and nice. For the food, we ordered three mixtas ceviche tostadas which come with fish, shrimp, octopus, crab, and avocado. I also ordered a shrimp burrito which came with a salad. The tostada was okay, nothing more and the same can be said for the shrimp burrito. I would actually put the shrimp burrito ahead of the tostada because of the different sauces that came with it. There were two or three different hot sauces (two of which were very hot) and one crema or mayo based sauce which mellowed them out. When combined, it had a really good flavor which paired well with the fried shrimp. The salad was completely disappointing as it was just iceberg lettuce and a slice of tomato with no dressing... I just came from the Northwest and had the best ceviche I have ever had in Spokane and I was really excited when my girl said this place is super legit and has the best ceviche she has ever tried. I enjoyed the food and our time there but it wasn't even close to the best I've ever had. I would recommend going down here though and giving it a try especially if you are into seafood. read more

Man, where can I start. I'll actually rant a bit for starters. Among my favorites cuisines is Mexican seafood. There are plentiful of these restaurants throughout beautiful Sin City. Often, most are actually good. I rarely rate a restaurant below 4 stars because I'm actually considerate of things such as being understaffed, people having grumpy days, being out of a particular dish or ingredient. However, this place sincerely pushed it. I only added an extra star because the service was good. I must say the food was beyond disappointing on its own, but there were other variants added into my equation leading to my opinion (based on facts I must add) that drove me to write this honest and fair review. I decided to go explore this seafood joint as it bares the name "Vallarta", which I have been to the actually city, Puerto Vallarta, in México. I ordered takeout consisting of their camarones a la diabla (shrimp in a spicy sauce), an horchata, tostada de pulpo, and a flan to top it off with a delightful dessert. Upon opening my food I noticed a bit of a distasteful presentation, but whatever. I tasted the camarones and instantly regretted my choice . They were sweet! The quality of the shrimp was crap and overcooked, portions were mediocre for the price mariscos as those of your competitors, the rice was terrible, but beans were ok. The tostada was actually not bad, but nothing special at all about them. The tortillas were a joke. Tasted like the Guerrero brand. To top it off, they forgot my flan so I had to go back and treat my taste buds to a delicious, homemade flan....I could not believe they handed me a processed flan in a cup and have the nerve to charge $3 and not tell someone it's homemade. On the brightside, it was actually the best tasting item on my pallet. I have been to mediocre marisco's joints, but this place really took it to another level. Please review your menu items and methodology behind the preparation and cooking process of the food you serve. read more

Woke up with a craving for Vallartas, headed there now! We been going here for years. Service is great and the owner is almost always there. He's very hands on. Our favorite items that keep us coming back are the fish tacos, shrimp cocktail, any tostada is great. Anything with their shrimp, especially their Camarones a la Diabla. They use delicious, sweet shrimp just like in Mexico. Make sure to have a Pacifico michelada. They are simple and delicious. Not overly done like the recent trend. Enjoy! read more

Been coming to this place for years and it was always great. Today 11/21 I came in and something in the campechana didnt taste right. Never have I had an issue before but I couldnt possibly eat the campechana because something tasted spoiled as if it gone bad.I nicely told the server and we returned both our campechanas completely full. When we got our bill the cook, not sure if hes the owner, refused to take the campechanas off our bill because he claimed he had sold so many and never had an issue. I kindly told him I have also been a customer for years and would never complain unless something was really bad and that I felt it wasnt fair to be charged. He proceeded to snatch the bill of my hands and throw it on the table beside him and say "whatever its fine then". He took off from where he was and just left me there. Both my boyfriend and I have worked in the restaurant industry and I cant imagine treating or talking to a customer like this. Although he said not to worry about the bill I still paid for what we actually consumed. By far the worst customer service provided. He could of cared less that we are regulars let alone treated me the way he did showing no respect, manners or even manager/owner skills.
