The Lock-and-Load shrimp appetizer was huge - a big taco salad shell with a thin layer of cabbage in the bottom and a huge pile of shrimp with a sweet, spicy sauce. My wife ordered this appetizer as a meal, but still brought most of it home. The Doe Burger is NOT a lady's size portion. It's a huge grilled chicken sandwich with the normal toppings, plus grilled onions and jalapeños. Even though I set the top bun aside (I knew I couldn't eat it all, and I'd rather leave a bun than a piece of meat) - still got stuffed trying to eat it (couldn't eat all the golden brown, crispy tots - the sandwich was too good to fill up on other stuff). Lots of other good looking choices on the menu, and judging by overheard conversation in the dining room, quite a few local regulars stopping in. Four stars - definitely worth stopping if you are in the area and need a good meal.

I walked up to the counter as I had visited before with a friend, this time I was alone and I ordered the seasoned cracklins, instead of the chicken cracklins. They were good though. I was trying to obtain assistance from the cashier about the boudin burger, she seemed very monotone and I felt like she did not want to assist, just hurry up and buy type of attitude. I think they assume that everyone knows what they want when they walk up to the counter, it's okay to be polite and knowledgeable about your products enough to want to explain them to the customer so we can make a better decision. I had two friends in line after me on this visit and they had the same horrible experience. These days no one acts like they want to go to work or be in the service industry.

These burgers are so freaking delish... the flavor was amazing. We both put them away if ya know what I mean, and didn't stop until we finished. This is a for sure gem! We loved it!

Remind me of a yeast roll all our food was really good, balanced flavors. Only wish I could have asked for my burger to be cooled medium or even medium-well. The burgers were over cooked, but not to the point you couldn't eat them. I know ow some people like a grilled crust on their burgers. The fries were so crispy and seasoned just right.
