The place was pretty busy when we got there but it took all of 10 minutes to get a table. I got the steak and eggs, and was happy with my choice. The steak was a pretty low-tier cut (thin and fatty), but that was expected, and it was cooked fairly well. I got my eggs over-easy and the yolks were perfectly runny. Additionally, the breakfast potatoes that I got with my meal were scrumptious. I'll also add that while the portion of fruit they give is small, it's actually FRESH, instead of the soupy soggy fruit salad most places give. Others at my table ordered a grilled-cheese style breakfast sandwich and a waffle eggs benedict. Everyone thought the food was pretty good.

Recommended to me by a colleague, this inconspicuous little joint has everything from sandwiches and pizza to focaccia and delicious coffee. I ordered a coffee, some cookies, and an almond croissant - and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. My wife got some kind of pastry that I also ate part of because that's how i ROLLLLLL (and I needed to wrtie this review) The best part about Nonnina? It's conveniently located off the highway, so you can stop by whether you're driving into or out of Montreal. And let's be real - when you're in Lachine, everything is "on the way" because you have no idea where you are! So if you're ever in the area and looking for a quick bite, be sure to check out Nonnina. Trust me, you won't regret it - unless, of course, you hate delicious food and good coffee. But who hates those things? Not me, that's for sure!

It was so sweet, we were sitting outside and one of the servers saw we had stood up because there was a bee next to our food and we were trying to get it away. The server tried to shoo the bee away, and it finally left. He offered us another round of mimosas because of the worries. It was such a kind gesture. I won't say it's the cheapest breakfast/brunch option, but the service, food, and ambiance was 10/10. Would definitely come back!

This restaurant has been around for 102 years, so they gotta be doing something right, right? The interior isn't huge but there are booths against the walls (booths for 4 diners against one wall, and booths for 2 against the other), with freestanding tables in the middle interior, and coatracks in the middle and back (more like a closet in the middle). The walls are covered with record album covers and photos. In the front of the restaurant is a long counter, with cloches and serving dishes full of huge muffins and cookies (they all looked bloody amazing!). All in all, it's a very warm and casual interior, and it feels like an old pair of favorite slippers. Comfortable and unassuming. We sat at a booth where my folks always sit, and although their usual server wasn't working that day, we had Devon (and she was wonderful). We had a variety of meals: mom had blueberry pancakes (lots of blueberries! She loved it), and my kid and my dad and I had a variety of eggs with bacon and toast and potatoes. It all was excellent. The bacon was crispy and they sure weren't stingy with portions (nice!), and the potatoes were great, too. I didn't have the coffee but the rest of my family did, multiple refills, in fact, and they all said it was excellent. Did I mention that the portions were very generous? I could not even eat my toast, even after giving some of my bacon to my kid. Two eggs, potatoes, toast and bacon cost $11. I think that's very reasonable. (I live in Vancouver now and that'd be considered a steal in Van). FYI: there is a parking lot directly across the street from Nick's and parking is free there on Sundays (probably on the street, on Greene, too), and free after 6pm as well. Nice!

The food was normal. We got eggs with a crepe and french toast. Could be duplicated at home but overall tasty (if a bit bready). I will note that there was no seasoning at all, so be prepared to season it yourself (except the mashed potatoes which were delicious). Also, they charge extra for maple syrup and do not include it with the crepe meal. The milkshake was watery and warm, definitely not worth the $8. Also, the water in the restaurant was not working at all when we went (there were no signs to indicate this, and they didn't let us know until we tried to wash our hands and asked). They also had no hand sanitizer in any of the 3 dispensers. Overall it was okay, but I wouldn't go again and would recommend finding a different place.

The Long Version: So I had never heard of Rossetti before. They didn't exist when I was living in Montreal (the 2000s) and after I left, my husband (who was still my boyfriend at the beginning) and I would return often (at least a few times a year until 2019) and I'm pretty sure they weren't around then. We took a few years hiatus from visiting Montreal and then when we returned in 2024, boom, Rossetti had 4 different locations in the downtown core! What's their origin story? I have no idea. Their website has no "About Us" section. All I know is they opened sometime between 2020 and 2024, lol. I tried their caramel eclair ($5.50). The caramel icing was really tasty, but I found the choux pastry and the custard filling a bit dry. They have cannoli, amaretti, financiers, croissants and tarts. They also have sandwiches and pizza. I was disappointed that they didn't have sfogliatella, my favourite Italian pastry. Oh, they also have coffees and teas. The interior is nice with seating to dine in. Service was neutral. I may return to try another item. Maybe at one of their other locations. Review #16 (2025)

While in Miami last year, my husband, mother-in-law and I became big fans of the Rosetta on lower Collins Ave and then once they opened the one by Lincoln Center in NYC, we began to visit that one often since it's walking distance. After climbing to the Kondiaronk Belvedere on Mont Royal, we decided we needed sustenance on our way back down and we spied Rosetti as we were walking back to our hotel. Since it looked very similar to Rosetta, we decided to stop in and grab a bite. The sandwiches and pastries were on full display and we knew we made a good choice. I had a Pizza Margherita which was huge...I could have shared it. I also had a caramel tart for a sweet treat afterwards. Others in the group had sandwiches and other sweets which they all enjoyed. There are some stools at a counter downstairs and a little more seating upstairs with a few low tables along with some high tops and counters. The ladies who worked there were very nice. We enjoyed our food and think it's a great place for a quick bite that's a bit elevated from traditional fast food.
