About a 1-1.5: I was super excited to check out Black Valley Provender, as the cafe itself was…read morecute and seemed like a cool find in this little town of Everett. We came here for an early breakfast, and we ordered: +a Steak & Ale Pie - this was just not great; it was requested for this to be warmed super hot, but it came out almost room temperature; the gravy itself inside was not tasty, and the only thing that was edible was the side of arugula salad +a Sausage Gravy Hand Pie - this was actually not warmed correctly and came out cold +a Strawberry Scone - unfortunately, this was one of the driest scones we've had +a latte with almond milk +and, a Cinnamon Bun Latte with whole milk - the drink was okay, but could have been served extra hot We felt the prices did not match the quality, as it was pretty pricey; don't forget to ask for an itemized receipt, as the total can be a shocker! The staff were super friendly, and the space is farmhouse-/rustic-chic; loved their paintings! Plenty of street parking is available. +improperly heated items +friendly staff +well-decorated space +ample street parking

A lovely coffee spot that has so much more. Located along Main Street with metered parking is this…read morelittle coffee spot. Lots of seating and adorable decor. They also have tea and beans to purchase, as well as some other items. They even have a cooler with some fun things to take home. At first we thought it was just a typical coffee spot, but the menu proved us wrong. They do have typical coffee menu with some delicious coffee! But they also have an AM and an PM menu with some super creative options for food. We actually were in town for 2 nights and went both days! The baked goods are drool worthy! You will want one of everything. We tired the lavender blueberry scone. I don't like scones. I always think they are way too dry. These things are not! They are massive and full of flavor. Super tender too. We also got the coffee cake. This was just okay. I would opt for something else unless you ask if it was made that day. Just meh. It was a huge piece though! Super nice staff and very efficient. You can tell they make their food as it is delicious. This isn't a heat it up kind of place. They are cooking. Their baked goods are absolutely amazing! The portions are monster sized. You will need a to go box. We ordered coffees - delicious. Grab some beans to go! Then, we ordered a smoked salmon bagel with capers, pickled red onions, and flavored cream cheese. This was absolutely delicious and HUGE!!! Tons of salmon, the flavors were terrific! Also ordered the pork belly Benedict and it was just as good. This is served on two homemade lard biscuits. Like seriously??? Absolutely delicious! Can't recommend both of these things enough. We were going to come for dinner, but didn't realize they were closed. Apparently they have an incredible fish and chips that's to die for. This place is awesome!!!! Prices are reasonable too!

What a gem! We stopped by Sowers Harvest Café for breakfast and were genuinely impressed…read more Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The Greek omelet was light, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The Pesto-Port Egg Sandwich was simple but absolutely delicious with a perfectly cooked egg and great pesto. The Balsamic Garden Avocado Toast was as beautiful as it was tasty, with fresh ingredients, creamy goat cheese, pickled onions, and a rich balsamic glaze. The Spicy Mango Sriracha grilled naan was incredibly unique--the sweet and spicy combination worked perfectly. The fresh-baked pretzels are a must-try! We took home several varieties, and they were warm, soft, and some of the best we've had. Even the latte and biscotti were excellent. On top of the amazing food, watching the staff handcraft and bake the giant pretzels right behind the counter added to the experience. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and the service was fast despite the café being busy. If you're in State College, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Fresh ingredients, creative menu, outstanding baked goods, and genuinely kind people. We'll definitely be back!

I also tried the oatmeal latte for the first time and highly recommend it. It wasn't overly sweet, but still had so much flavor and was the perfect addition to breakfast. So glad I got to come back!
