I came here everyday for a week for coffee with my colleagues. I've tried their Americano coffee and their cappuccino. My favorite was the latter and I just kept ordering it the rest of the week. The best is their hazelnut gelato! Omg so worth the calories! It was so creamy and not too sweet. I highly recommend this coffee place. The staff and the owner are so welcoming and they know the regulars on a first name basis which is really nice. There is a nice wooden seating area in the front as well. I wish I worked closer to this place so that I could keep going back!

Espresso!

This café really reflects the atmosphere of little Italy. Their coffee is excellent, they have a few cookies and pastries and apparently some gelato, benches and tables outside and soccer playing on the TV. The locals are just sitting outside on the benches chatting with no worries about the time. I ordered just a simple espresso (excellent!) took a minute to drink it outside and in that moment I got this feeling that I was back in Italy near a piazza.

Cappucinno, $2.50 tax included

They should change their name to "Perfection" or something. Amazing Coffee, the balance of bitter and sweet is in such sync in every cup of coffee. My boyfriend came here before and he was so impressed with the coffee that he brought me here later. I had a latte and my boyfriend took cappuccino and we were extremely satisfied. The cappucino wasn't too foamy, had the perfect 1/3 ratio that capuccinos should have. The intensity for the latte was also amazing, not way too milky, you get your milk based drink without losing the coffee taste. Cappuccino is $2.50 and Latte is $3.00 tax inclusive! Cash only. The ambience is very warm and made me so homesick because most of the customers know each other and the owner is also there. People are friendly and there's always a positive vibe there. Best coffee for the best price in Montreal!

World's best cappuccino

World's best cappuccino. There is a cappuccino that I remember very, very fondly. My girlfriend was studying abroad, and I was visiting for spring break. The weather was beautiful. Sunny, warm. I had wandered out, my first real foreign vacation, in search of breakfast. And I found the perfect cappuccino. Creamy. Strong, and yet, subdued. Nothing could have been more right. And then, this cappuccino came along. This cappuccino is ultimately creamy. Yet, it is neither dense, nor milky. The dairy used is wonderful. Some dairy can be quite bland or chalky. Not so here. The coffee was robust and intense without being one note or overpowering the milk. Perfection. I've considered driving here from NY just for this cappuccino. Would definitely drink again.

Espresso so strong I had to add sugar. The place jammed, takes cash only, but you hear a lot of Italian spoken here. Great coffee! Nice seating area outside where you can even have a conversation.

Came here for a freddo (iced coffee) and it was very tasty and refreshing on a humid day. I opted for some cream in it and was a wise decison and it enhanced the flavor. Coffee is very strong and even the small shot quickly picked me up. The price tag was abou average. The barista looked like he was having a long day and I felt I was bothering him. That's why I can't go 5 stars on this one, maybe it'll change on my next visit.

Amazing cappuccino.

The cappuccino lives up to the hype. Read in an article that it's the one cappuccino you have to get in Montreal -- best one I've ever had. Foam is PERFECT and good balance in espresso flavor between bitter and sweet. It was strange how good the espresso flavor was even though the barista poured the milk about 45 seconds after he pulled the shot (I used to work at Starbucks and apparently the peak flavor of an espresso shot dies if the milk isn't poured in 3 seconds). Pretty ample amount of seating, and nice little benches to sit outside and enjoy. Except there was the construction of a deck going on out front. Shrug, too busy enjoying the cappuccino. Service is super friendly and the line moves quickly. These guys definitely know what they're doing.

Caffè San Simeon on Dante in the heart of Little Italy

Caffè San Simeon on Dante in the heart of Little Italy. I came here twice. First during the weekend during F1 Grand Prix when the whole Boulevard St-Laurent is celebrating the Mural festival from Sherbrooke street up to Mont-Royal Avenue. In Little Italy they have a 4 day F1 celebration where the street is closed down to traffic between Jean Talon (north) down to I think Beaulieu? With amazing shiny gas guzzling cars parked all around the streets to admire while gulping down an excellent latte from this café just off St-Laurent on Dante. These guys are the real deal. Not a tourist attraction just straight to the point coffee! Nice little outdoors seating area in the front where to sit and sip and gaze at all the beauty that Little Italy has to offer. Right around the corner from the Jean Talon market, 2 minutes walking. Staff was very friendly and helpful even with people that are slow to choose... Will definitely be back when in the neighborhood, going to Dinette Triple Crown who have no coffee but the best fried chicken in all of Little Italy. A "Big Nasty" at DTC then an espresso at Caffè San Simeon and on my way to the market for everything else!

Excellent coffee! Very strong so we usually go for the late. Typical coffee place where staff knows your name. People sit down outside and they have a huge terrace. Sometimes very crowded but you can always sit down and enjoy your coffee. They have gelato and some croissants. You can also get a bit of Nutella if you want.

A real trip to Italy without getting on the plane! The best cappuccino in Montreal and maybe the northern hemisphere!

Their chocolate collection is the best in Montreal, in my opinion. Their olive oil and balsamic vinegar collection put a smile on my face every time. I learned or tried something new every time I went in. My other serendipitous discovery was their phenomenal Turkish coffee. Truly great! Their amazing collection of chocolates and especially my favorite dark chocolates and salty caramels made the cold winter days brighter and my nice summer days sparkling with the fanfare of their exceptional hospitality and artisan tapestry of flavors. When you step in the store, brace yourself for a wonderful journey of discovery in taste, filled with laughters. This has been one of my all time favorites in Montreal.

It's amazing to be able to walk 2 KM Est or West on Fleury and be able to find EVERYTHING you want. Le Fouvrac is responsable for that in many sense. Marche Jean Talon has their Marché des Saveurs that's quite big and have lot of cool products but also lot of not so good one. Truth! Le Fouvrac is little overpacked and filled in with high quality importation fine products. Fleur de sel, Soap of Marseille, organic products, high quality and obscur candies plus spices oil, vinaigrette. It's just a place where I personally need to talk to myself a lot to rationalize about What I need and What I want. Problem is I want a lot of stuff in that little store!
