I ordered a few cocktails here and the drinks were good. After you order, they will bring snacks to the table like peanuts, pistachios and pub mix. Both visits I sat in the outdoor area which is covered with clear plastic sheeting. They allow people to smoke in there, which I didn't like, but I also realized that I wasn't back home in California. I was impressed with the size of the menu as they had quite a few offerings beyond pizza and pasta with a meats selection and seafood as well. I ordered pizza with ham, spicy salami and basil on the first night and the second day I had carbonera pasta. I ordered the chicory vegetable side both times. My wife ordered with muscles with pasta on the first night and lasagna on the second day and she liked both. For those that are from the US and you had not been to Europe before, service is slower. Three and a half stars!

We stopped here for a nightcap which morphed into a cheese-meat platter that was bonkers. Moscow Mule here, a Sorrento Sunset (spiked coffee) there, and now everyone was greedily picking at the massive wooden block topped with cured meats, jelly, focaccia, nuts, a handful of (stellar) Italian cheeses, as well as a bit of fresh mixed salad for good measure. Stuffed (this was after dinner and gelato earlier in the night, after all) we paid and about to scoot when the waiter brought out four complimentary shots of limoncello (the official 'mascot' of this region, for sure!) and the laws and customs and mores being different here than back in America I'll just keep mum about my 15-year-olds reaction to their very first official "saluti!".

Our best restaurant experience in positano! we ate here both nights…read more After wandering around the first night and receiving a recommendation from someone at the Sirenuse hotel to check out Max for some good pasta, we decided to give it a try. So happy we did. The bread basket alone was the first indicator - they had such an array of options and all of it was warm and fresh - the focaccia was literally the best I've ever had, it was oily and salty in itself, and so rich to snack on before the food arrived The mozzarella Caprese was so fresh and delicious. The tomatoes were perfectly ripe, the cheese was clearly fresh and highly quality. Only available in Italy like that for sure. I tried the sea bass the first night - amazing. Falls off the fork it's cooked so tenderly, and the lemon sauce, everything was perfect. The second night, i had the lasagna which was also incredible and so visually stunning, just this round pasta in layers of gooey cheese, meat and sauce. On the first night My friend had the seafood pasta wjicj she was raving about, on the second night she had the pasta trio which wasn't worth ordering. Everything else was seriously amazing and the prices weren't insane despite positano being the most expensive leg of the trip. Totally would come back.

Booked via the Fork for ease and while it may seem like a more tourist-y spot (in the sense that…read morethe leads are always inviting folks walking by in to view the menu)...Naima is LEGIT. We wanted seafood because when in Sorrento...why not opt for super fresh seafood right by the coast?! Our server recommended a really delicious local red that was super reasonably priced and we enjoyed with said red: For Primi -- *Gnocchi alla sorrentina (Sorrento-style Gnocchi): I mean...we kinda had to get a regional specialty right? Gnocchi here is potato based instead. It was SO delicious - still perfect texture. They also served this HOT HOT HOT with melty cheese. So delicious and a really generous portion!! *Spaghettoni alle vongole (Pasta with Clams): Another favorite for us in general so figured a really fresh version could be stellar and it didn't disappoint! This slightly edged out the gnocchi for me flavor-wise, but the gnocchi was dang good so it just goes to show how DELISH this was!!! For Secondi -- *Grigliata mista di pesce (mixed grilled fish - this was an incredible plate of such fresh seafood. There was various fish, a giant prawn, octopus alll grilled & seasoned to perfection! *Swordfish special! -- apparently it was swordfish season and it was a 'fresh catch' and I feel like you could tell! Really lovely and nicely seasoned. Portions were very generous & we were way too full for dessert at this point! So you could probably eat more "American" style here (Just 1 entree instead of our approach), but the menu here is pretty stellar!!!

I had been bit by a crab a number of times at Amalfi earlier in the day. I decided to return the favor and had the excellent crab with squid ink pasta. I will say that the crab was a lot of work, it was also a delicious crab. The squid ink pasta itself was perfectly al dente. Added a second course of a local fish with cherry tomatoes, also delicious. Family enjoyed their dinner as well.
