Great food at reasonable prices. That sums up Primo. Out here, in the north, there are few places that you could call quality. It's easy to locate and track a burger, or various chain sandwich or chicken stores - but Primo is a refreshing breath of variety and quality. Thanks to the Smithfield location, also low cost. A little bit of eastern suburbs Italian out here, far from foodie paradise. I recommend going to the Primo website and joining their gold club - you get the second meal at half price. My friend and I just had two magnificent meals (that come with a garlic bread entree, which I must admit, I'm not as keen on - very heavy dough) with a 1140ml jug of coca-cola to share, all for less than $40. Good service, good food, clean and organised dining area... This is why Primo is one of the few 'chain' resturants worth visiting. It may not compare to a resturant run by dedicated chefs with a life-stake in the business's future - but for low cost and fufilling dining, it hits the spot. read more

Have been to many other Cafe Primo's before but this one is bad. Customer service is the worst I've ever experienced, the staff seem to not even want to be there, let alone show any kind of friendly service. Waited 30 min for two lunchtime specials. Had to ask where our meal was which then only took 5 min. Will go out of my way to avoid going back to this one...full of regrets and wasted time...wish we had just gone next door to Subway!! read more
