Cold Brew (20oz)
Jillian B.

Grabbed a cold brew here while on a walk. It was more bitter than I'm used to but kept me very caffeinated! I've had better, but it seems like a decent option for the neighborhood.

This is a great coffeeshop for working-there's a large communal table, lots of smaller tables, plenty of outlets and free WiFi, however keep in mind they put a 3 hour limit on the WiFi per day once you connect your device. It is pretty quiet as it seems most customers were working/studying. The chai latte was very foamy and creamy, and a good level of sweetness. I like my chai lattes a little less spicy so it was perfect for my taste buds. The apple cider was good but nothing to write home about. They also had lots of sandwich options and pastries sitting at the display, though I have yet to try any.

Cafe Nero, you offer a tasty egg dish but your employees proudly proclaim "We do not offer condiments." #bringyourownhotsauce

Great egg dish, wouldn't kill the Cafe Nero brand to offer a condiment for the dishes they serve. #hotsauceforthepeople

One of my favorite Caffé Nero! Very friendly stuff, a lot of place for work with laptop. Sometime the temperature is too low, but I always have a hoody just in case.

This coffee tastes different and tastes good, but sadly they don't have a lot of options to eat, by 12 pm almost everything is gone and you hardly have some fruits left to eat.

My SBUX app card ate another $25 dollars yesterday. My barista gave me a free drink despite the app saying that my card only had 2.30 on it. The gracious and kind manager told me that I should call into SBUX to recover the lost money. I didn't have the time to call into SBUX before my AM coffee run this morning. What did I do? Did I wait for it to be 8 am PST in the EST time zone? Nope, I am a coffee addict. Patience is not our virtue. I went to Nero and ordered an almond milk latte. While frustration and monetary loss got me in the door, the tasty latte and friendly staff will make me return. The décor is nice; there's a wall of books. I do believe that most tables seem to have a power source. This is not true for the three other coffee shops in the square.

Caffe Nero is in my rotation of weekend places for coffee near my apartment. It gets pretty busy here on the weekends so it's sometimes hard to snag a seat. Aside from that, delicious caramel latte and tasty pastries. Friendly baristas as well!

Love this place. Warm and cozy. Excellent service. Don't know why people say that the coffees is expensive for their sizes. Basically FYI it's Italian size coffee which is not a American size. I think they do serve more on quality than every other coffee shop.

The food is absolutely delicious and clearly fresh. I got the Shrimp Scampi while my friend got the tortellini with cheese and added shrimp. Honestly, everything was so tasty and flavorful, plus the portions were huge for a terrific price! I was so excited for my leftovers the next day. They were super accommodating and provided great recommendations as well. The pasta sauces were incredible -- my friend ate the bread with the sauce and said it was heavenly. Major shoutout for the great service provided by Jimmy as well, he was so friendly and caring! It made this meal feel extra homey. (He even packaged my pasta to go for me to make sure I didn't spill on my dress I was wearing). Definitely recommend giving this spot a try and supporting a small business!

Another 10/10 visit to Tonino in the books!…read more It's such a hard reservation to get, but so worth it. I'm actually getting salivating while posting this review and looking back at my food pictures. I get the Eggplant & Ricotta Pizza as my appetizer and the Rigatoni Amatriciana as my entree each time I go - because they're consistently amazing. The service is always warm and friendly, and I also love the music playlist they play. Believe the hype & come to Tonino!!

However, I don't know that it lived up to the hype that I anticipated. We got the pizza Bianca with ricotta with hot honey, which was basically just like plain toasted focaccia and ricotta (wasn't anything to write home about). The taleggio was 100% our least favorite and we didn't even finish half. We had asked the waiter to describe taste profile, which they said was a "little funky" and had asked for clarification if it was closer to blue cheese. Once it arrived, it was like a verrrrrry strong/stinky Brie on the inside. The balsamic didn't really contribute to the taste at all. Sad that we didn't like this/kinda made me feel yucky after eating. The cavatelli was very good- nice light creamy sauce with the sausage and bitter broccolini. Very well balanced. Forgot to take a pic of the tiramisu but it was good, too! It's kinda salty (they add sea salt to the top). Drink menu was limited. Had two different glasses of red wine but wish they had something more full bodied on the menu!

I would go back just for that - crispy + slicing with scissors adds a whole other feel to it. I feel in control of my flatbread. Calamari was good but I'd choose the flatbread over anything. Parking in the area can be a bit tricky, but it's super convenient to get to via the Green Line, which made it easy overall. For food, everything was delicious: The Romaine & Kale Caesar was good, though I wish it had whole anchovies for a little extra punch. The prosciutto bruschetta was incredible, definitely a standout. The crispy cauliflower was my favorite dish of the night, so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The rigatoni bolognese was solid and comforting. The Chianti-Marsala braised beef short rib was insanely tender and cooked perfectly (just wish there were a few more mushrooms!). Also have to mention the dirty martini was so good. Overall, such a great spot with a fun vibe, amazing service, and really tasty food. I'll definitely be back!

We opted to sit at the bar in front of the wood-fired oven, which turned out to be a great call. Watching the kitchen work was half the fun with pizzas and dishes coming together right in front of us. The drinks menu is impressive too, with a large selection of beers on tap plus wine, cocktails, and mocktails. For food, we kept it simple and shared our way through the menu. The Farm Green salad was crisp and fresh, pa perfect starter. Then came the asparagus, roasted in the wood-fired oven and served with a sauce that elevated the whole dish. We finished with one of their wood-fired pizzas, and it did not disappoint. Everything had that subtle smoky char you only get from a real oven. Service was excellent from start to finish.
