English Fish And Chips - Dinner
    Emory B.

My husband and I met friends of our here for dinner. They had been several times and recommended it. It was delicious! Menu that has a wide variety of options- anyone can find something there that they'd like. I had the mussels and they were delicious! Our waitress was nice. Small space- not a ton of seating, so not sure how great it would be for a large group.

This European style restaurant is amazing! I stopped in for an espresso and breakfast and was amazed by the vibe and the food. I will definitely be a regular here

I found a great work lunch spot - menu and receipt pictured. Swipe to see the turkey, Panini, curried, chicken, salad, sandwich, the West Coast veggie sandwich, chunky chocolate, chip cookie, and the frothiest cappuccino ever!

This place has the most unique flavors of empanadas in town. My favorite was the gyro and the spinach. I love how they also serve coffee. I love their giant cookie here also. I aim to try each flavor of empanadas they have one day. Hopefully, like an empanada flights lol.

Garlic shrimp pasta is the star here! Deliciously sweet and garlicky! I'd forever come back for this dish.

Had been driving past here for years and finally stopped in!!! Very diverse menu with lots of affordable options for many kinds of cravings. Extremely European feel (but with better service) all around. Doesn't make you feel like you're on Frankfort Ave!

By far one of my favorite restaurants in Louisville. A nice, quaint restaurant with amazing food, their pomme frittes are probably the best fries I have ever tried! This restaurant gives a very intimate feeling, like a restaurant where you could go alone and have a nice meal without it feeling too overwhelming. The staff is very attentive as well and since the restaurant isn't too big, the staff is always in eye view where you can politely wave them over if need be. Definitely recommend if you are looking to have a quite evening with a wide variety of food!

Café Classico is one of our favorite places to go to for a nice start to our afternoon with a wonderful cappuccino and Belgian Pomme Frittes or a light lunch or dinner. The environment is calm and comfortable. The people are polite. And service is always on point and satisfying. Try the desserts with your coffee they are always satisfying.

This place is so close to being one of those small treasures, with only a couple of misses: when you do make reservations (not needed) they do not greet you very efficiently... it was actually a bit awkward, and the setting for dinner was pretty bright. The only thing we ate that lacked any pizzazz was the Pizza Alla Bobo... the pie lacked flavor and any kind of herb enhancement. Otherwise we really enjoyed our dinner and have some bright spots to share: The black eyed pea soup was awesome! Slightly spicy but not over bearing. The Chicken Roulade was tender and well cooked with lovely add-ons. Closing dinner with an Espresso and Argentinian Alfajores cannot be passed up. Absolutely lush! --- oh and despite the sound, the Fig and Feta gelato was delish! We will be back.

This deli hits all of the high points. Matzo ball soup? Si. Corned beef and pastrami sandwiches on rye bread? Oui. Black and white cookies? But of course. Latkes? Well, this one surprised me, because I didn't think a deli would serve latkes, but why the heck not? For good measure, there's even a signed and framed photo of Larry David hanging on the wall. This is my kind of place. The thing to get here is the corned beef with pickled cabbage. The sandwiches here are huge, but you can get half of a sandwich with chips, and it's just the right portion for a nice lunch. Along with my half corned beef sandwich, I got the matzo ball soup. That's a pretty big matzo ball hanging out there, like Seinfeld would say, but it's hanging out in a clear chicken consomme. The matzo is the size of a whiffle ball, practically. It's dense but gives way easily under the slight pressure of a spoon. It's a very satisfying and comforting soup. My children shared a grilled cheese sandwich, which they liked but were thrown off at first because the cheese they used in the sandwich was white. So if you have a kid who likes yellow/orange cheese, maybe keep that in mind. There are lots of tables inside and out, but Good Belly gets very busy, and we barely got a table. This is also a great place to get takeout, if you're not feeling like fighting the crowds.

The bacon was thick and a great portion. The fries are thin and super salty. I'd recommend a different side to go with your sandwich. I noticed a pick two for a salad, soup, or sandwich. It included a drink, which made it a good deal. The menu offers several breakfast and sandwich items, plus bakery, salads, and sides. I started off with a diet coke and it fell flat. The menu listed a fountain drink and it was coke served from a soda gun. The carbonation wasn't strong and didn't last past the first few sips. I ordered off the breakfast menu and got the huevos rancheros and a blueberry muffin. The eggs were cooked to order and the potatoes were delicious! The muffin was okay. It was a bit on the dry side and would be skipped next time. My friend got a BLT and wasn't impressed. One piece of bread was soft while the other was hard, almost stale. It's a beautiful space but the meal was a disappointment.

There isn't a bad seat in the house or the butcher shop. Every corner has its own character, as unique and thoughtful as the food coming out of the kitchen. The open cooking in the shared space adds a warmth that makes it feel like dinner and a show, without the performance. The menu rotates with the seasons, but the crowd favorites never disappear. And for good reason. The burger is a legitimate contender for best in Louisville, no small feat in a city with serious competition. White cheddar, Ross Sauce, bacon jam, fried shallots, pickles, and Red Hog bacon, served with hand-cut fries and a curry aioli that deserves its own review. Unreal. The seasonal farmers market salad was everything summer should taste like, fresh, crisp greens with whey vinaigrette, market vegetables, and cave aged cheddar. Light but deeply satisfying. Because it was bigger than my head (ok, maybe this is a slight exaggeration but not by much) i had to disassemble it to eat it in stages. First off were the waffle fries and I found them to be tasty, crunch and fluffy in all the right spots. Once the taters were off I cut that biggie baby in 8 'Oh My Danwich' slices. Y'all, I rarely find myself at a loss for words, even my high dollar, 10 letter ones, but I can't fill this space with all the adjectives I would want in describing this sanwich that would make you want breakfast for every meal. The sausage had that savory salty pork taste that makes you happy you're not a vegetarian with an egg slice that was fluffier than my German Shepherd's downy fur. The cheese even had a nice pull with the topper being their chive aioli. And that sandwich was just the beginning because I also ordered a Strawberry Cruffin, Bourbon Peach hand pie and a raspberry Danish to have as late night snacks. The handpie didn't do it for me. The peaches lacked flavor that I found myself asking bestie if she wanted it because I was jiat going to toss in the trash after just 2 bites. The strawberry mascarpone cream in the cruffin was silky smooth and berrylicious with the croissant being flaky and fluffy. It was almost like a sweet and savory after school snack. The kind of bakery item that keeps you coming back for more. And more. And the piece de resistance was the raspberry Danish. I've lived my 61 years learning to never turn down raspberry anything and today, my raspberry research paid off. One hundred percent tenfold. Even though the glaze drizzle was super sweet, the flaky danish offset it with that light crunch but fluffy innards. Y'all, with each bite I just fell more in love. The Danish was so good that when I came to my last bite not only was I sad that it would soon be gone but I wanted to cry. Cry y'all. Over a Danish! Yes, do it. You only live once. Order the Danwich & the Danish. You won't be sorry. You can pay me in Butchertown gift cards. Or Bourbon. Hubby's brother lives across the Ohio so, next time he goes to visit them I'm going with him.
