After visiting the Deutsches Museum, I wanted some food and relax a little before taking the U-ban back home. After finding this on Yelp, I decided to give this cafe a try. When I entered, I saw a warm environment with soft music and pleasant decor. However, no one greeted me upon entry, so I thought that I was supposed to order something at the cashier. After five minutes of confusion, one of the baristas finally confronted me and asked me to sit down and gave me a menu.
Already with an unpleasant experience, I decided to order something small and leave. I ordered the mini chocolate cake and an interesting bottle of Italian soda. The cake was dense and flavorful, but was also a bit stale. The bottle of soda was as expected. After taking my time to enjoy my snack, I ordered the check. To my surprise, the pastry and soda were each 3.50 euros. Compared to other cafes I've been to in Munich, this was really expensive, so I was not pleased.
Overall, I would not go here myself unless someone else decides to change my mind. The prices are pretty high for a cafe (the menu items cost as much as those in the museum cafe), which is the deal breaker. If everything was a bit cheaper, I would have enjoyed my time here more. read more
