I've come here many times lately especially since moving back to the area, where I grew up, and it's pretty widely considered one of the best Nero locations. It's actually a training center I think. The staff are generally quite helpful and friendly. The line usually moves pretty slow though even if there are a lot of people working there. You're not always charged totally correctly for what you order, but obviously it's nice when undercharged! On to the details: the drinks are great, especially for a chain. The lattes are often creamy and unique tasting, especially if you add cinnamon and the honey which are complementary. They could put out some milk and cream which I think would be appreciated. Their sizes are good, but that leads me to that the prices are pretty steep, so if you get a single origin coffee option for example like in a latte, just order a small I would say. Same with the bagged coffee, like $11 for 7 oz. is a bit much. The Colombia single origin one I think in springtime is my favorite. Their app is great with many deals, and I got a free strawberry matcha thing a few weeks ago which I quite enjoyed. I also recently tried the new passionfruit guava refresher which is fantastic, highly recommended in summertime. The pastries are generally great, and they have multiple ones I haven't seen before. The cinnamon Kouign-amann is wonderful, with a kind of cinnamon jelly filling in the center. I also love the apple caramel bread and currently the apple cinnamon coffee cake they have is sublime. I recently tried the decadent s'mores croissant which was great. For the sandwiches and those kinds of things they look kind of dry and floppy, like they'd fall apart if you picked one up. I just tried the new clam chowder, a steep price but tasted pretty good and I loved that there were quite large clam pieces in there. The inside of Caffe Neros are always interesting and kind of old fashioned, with classical music playing and real and fake books alike on shelves. Random cushiony chairs are placed at tables and there's a good sized interior. It might be European influenced since it originated in England and is supposed to be Italian. I always have a great experience at this location. The management staff are fantastic, even though I miss the ones that have since moved on to other locations (Burlington) or jobs. They always give a friendly greeting and modify drink orders to be just right. I also love that the Cafe Nero app has a student email verification for drink discounts - makes it more cost efficient than Dunkin or starbies. One note is that you need to ask for the matcha to be made darker green if that floats your boat, and it makes you pay extra for that in the app. The actual matcha powder is quite good though. One more note is that I have noticed the sandwiches have less content in them then they used to, to the point where now there are entire bites of just bread. I definitely have to inspect the sandwood options now before purchase, and cannot buy them on the app ahead of time due to this. read more

I had a surprisingly good experience at this Cafe Nero. Be aware that it does get packed on the weekends, but we were able to find a table easily. Typical Nero aesthetic - mismatched "antique" looking tables and chairs, lots of dark wood paneling. Pretty cozy despite the crowd. The line was pretty slow-moving so don't come if you're in a big rush. There's a large selection of both sweet and savory food - pastries, baked goods, sandwiches. I got the elderberry raspberry tart and a hot coffee with milk. The coffee was tasty and I loved the tart! It had a really unique nutty flavor, which I realized was because there were sesame seeds in the dough. I loved that savory element. It was a little dry, potentially because it was dairy-free so no butter, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. read more

They have a large seating area hidden around the corner from the entrance. There is a parking lot behind the store, but every time I've been to this neighborhood it's been full with people circling the lot waiting for spots. This Cafe Nero is by far the best. It's consistently good and much better than any Starbucks. I like their iced lattes. They make good espresso. It's not my top choice for lunch, but it's not bad. I prefer pastries and ready to go items like the yogurt parfait and chicken salad. They're very good at their pickup service. I always order via the app because it always so reliable. Our drive is 15 min away and you can expect it to always be ready. Usually it's ready as soon 8 min or less. I've been to other locations, most are fine (the seaport location is a disaster), this location is my favorite and it's the mostly cozy if you want to stay and work. read more

Because of the number of fancy drinks and food options, and usually only two employees behind the counter, it can take 15 minutes in a long line to order a simple cup of coffee. We were staying just a block away and found ourselves coming to grab iced coffee three mornings in a row. Very good iced coffee and such a great spot to sit and people watch of you can grab one of the comfy chairs in the front. One morning my husband had a Turkey and cheese croissant and enjoyed it. There are a lot of great coffee shops, bakeries, etc. in this area, but today I was in a rush so I tried Caffe Nero for a quick lunch for the first time. My order, placed online, was supposed to come with bread (a critical component!), and when I saw it had been left out I went up to the counter (negating my time savings) to ask for the bread. "We don't have any." Well, were there any substitutions available? "No substitutions." And of course, no refund or discount was offered, either, despite me receiving only half my lunch. Super shady business practices/bait-and-switch. From now on, I'll stick with the better, locally-owned places even if they take a little more time up front. read more

I admit I waited a while to go to Caffe Nero. I really didn't believe Concord needed another chain coffee shop, particularly one that seemed to appear out of nowhere in every mall in the area. I also don't drink coffee. Today however was a bit of a mess and I ended up in Caffe Nero out of necessity. When I walked in and saw the exposed brick walls and general ambiance of the place, I thought it was nice. I even thought maybe my preconceived notions were wrong. They weren't. Although the service was friendly, the place was messy. Nothing says warm and cozy like a big pile of dirty dishes, an overflowing trash can, and a napkin dispenser begging to be refilled. Worst of all was the hot chocolate which tasted like Swiss Miss (not even the good one with marshmallows) that had too much water added to it. This is probably the least flavorful hot chocolate I have ever tasted. As I said, I don't drink coffee, so maybe that's why it's crowded. I have no use for it and don't plan on going back. read more

I was ready for a fun experience but ultimately disappointed when I ordered a large drink (16oz) and received it only a third full, disguised with foam - like I received the "tail end" of the prior customer's order. The line was long but I was equally mad at myself for not questioning the poor value or making a scene at the time. I searched for cafes in Concord with WiFi and somehow this place didn't come up, so I figured I'd write a "review" even though I haven't bought anything here yet! I came across this cozy coffee shop while walking down Main St and the exterior drew me in. Inside I discovered the perfect vibe for a warm cup of coffee, tasty snack (vegan or otherwise) and/or a pleasant work environment. Once I found out they had free WiFi, lots of place to work on a laptop AND a fireplace I knew I had to return. The only bummer was when I discovered that it's a chain with 27 locations in MA (and 1,000 coffee houses around the world - how did I not recognize it?!). I'm sure it's still great, just not as special as a one-off location. Can't wait to try it out! read more

The macaroons tasted OK that's about it. Everything else was a beat and switch you saw it in the case but the piece you actually get is a lot smaller very disappointing. I just spent $35 and that's how we get treated. I've been a regular since Caffe Nero opened in Concord. The baristas are warm and welcoming, and their coffee drinks are excellent. My favorite is their flat white. The atmosphere is cozy with plenty of seating, even with the socially distanced protocols in place. Can't say enough good things about the staff, coffee, and atmosphere. read more

I've never been a big coffee drinker, but got into it when I was traveling in Italy. Coming back, I wanted to find a place that would serve authentic espressos, macchiatos, and cappuccinos (and Starbucks, Dunkin, and other chains simply wouldn't do). Caffe Nero, however, serves delicious coffee, and is currently my go-to spot in Concord. The cappuccinos in particular are excellent. However, some of the pricing is a bit high for what you're getting, especially regarding some of the pastries and sandwiches. Still, this is a solid coffee shop. read more

I don't blame her for getting out of that toxic environment and I wish her the best of luck. If you're concerned about the environment, I would think twice about coming here. I was told by sympathetic staff members that the restaurant only recycles paper. Many drinks and a lot of the food are served in plastic and it all gets thrown away. There is no recycling option! read more

So happy Cafe Nero is here but what a disappointment today. Long line that moved like mud. I was shocked by the price of their sandwiches. 8 dollars for baguettes the size of a large pickle!! I settled on a tuna sandwich as it looked like the better value size-wise. This must have been the saddest, most uninspired tuna sandwich that I've ever shucked out 8 dollars for. At first we ordered 2 coffees that were VERY week (we usually go to the café Nero in Burlington which sells their usual strong brew). After requesting a stronger brew they said they had to make a new pot which took over 10 minutes... Did not offer any pastries or anything for waiting!! The atmosphere is great though. They do an amazing job with the diversity of orders in my family... some like a mocha, some like vanilla latte with almond milk, myself- I like the nitro or a single macchiato made the correct way. I recently went for coffee and a hot choclate at Nero's in Concord. My husband and I were not impressed! The hot chocolate was only about 4 oz. and not hot and the whipped cream was tasteless! I was not impressed with my coffee. The atmosphere was ok. The area where the dirty cups are stored was piled high and not maintained. We'll think twice about another visit. read more
