Really cool space, seems like it would be a great spot for a coffee date or to work for a day. The service is very friendly. I have some questions about the coffee, though. The cold brew is very good, but not great, which puts it a notch below some of the local competitors, especially when the price is on the higher end. The hot coffee needs some work, as other reviews have indicated. For some reason, they don't have half and half or cream for coffee, just milk? Seems like a strange choice. I think they're more targeting the matcha/flavored latte crowd, which is fine, but not my thing. I've tried the ube coffee cake, which was extremely sweet, but not any of the savory food options. PROS: The vibe and energy are really great. I loved the trees and decor. The large windows give the perfect amount of natural light. There is plenty of seating and open space. They have chargers at the majority of their seating locations. It seems like it would be a great place to study or surf the net. Bring headphones becuase to noise from chatter carries allot. The staff is so kind and professional! I enjoyed the Ube coffee cake!! CONS: The Hojicha Latte was ok. The first few sips tasted fishy which was odd. It was my first time trying Hojicha so I don't have anything to compare it too. I will stick to matcha. I decided to try a regular black coffee with their homemade maple syrup flavoring and whole milk. I rate the cup of coffee a -5. The bitterness was egregious. My goodness! The beans tasted really burnt. Two sips in and I couldn't finish it. Unfortunately, it's a one and done for me. I wish them all the luck and success. read more

Stopped in on a weekday. Very friendly and helpful service. The drinks are small and expensive. I understand why but not everyone will. I discovered my palate is not as fond of high grade matcha but I appreciate that they use it. The interior is very interesting and different. This cafe is probably one of the most unique spots in Jax. The guy who took our order was super friendly and helped us figure out which drinks to get. The menu is small and simple, so it's pretty easy to navigate. We ended up getting the Chai Latte and Cafecito Latte. Both drinks were delicious. We would definitely come back. read more

I must say i have found my favorite coffee shop here in Jax, i live in the area and only walk 5 minutes to get my coffee. The athmosphere here is amazing, great music, great coffee. My Filipino heart lit up when I saw Bibingka cheesecake on the menu, had to try it. Soooo delicious! Barista suggested pistachio milk for my vanilla latte, it was so yummy. This is a cool spot for some cafecito and great vibes. The area has a nice modern rustic look. I love the regular-style and bench style- seating. Their matcha is nice and so is there cortado. Their food and sweets are also good. Their avocado toast is a nice way to start your day with a cortado and finish off with a chocolate chip cookie. Parking is a little tricky but it shouldn't stop you from coming over. read more

The space is huge with plenty of seating, really cute / modern/ minimalist design. Coffee (got an iced and an hot latte) was okay, we got maple syrup for the hot coffee (the milk was a bit overpowering so didn't get a lot of the maple flavor) & brown sugar for the iced coffee (it tasted like the brown sugar syrup wasn't properly blended in and only on the top part). Hot latte was $5 & iced latte was $5.50. Syrup was $1 extra and any alternative milk options were $0.75 extra (). They also didn't have decaf option at the moment, the staff did say they are only doing soft opening right now and will have decaf option in the future. Overall a really good space (unlike a lot of small coffee shops where it gets crowded easily and fast). Wish we liked the coffee more for the prices we pay. But staff were all really awesome with amazing service. Definitely would be a good place to hangout. read more

In this review I have to give a little grace. Cafecito just opened up so a lot of requests I had for coffee additions to my coffee the response was "it's coming soon." And that's okay. The ambiance was nice in my opinion a great work space if you can deal with mild noise or just bring headphones. The coffee was really good and the guac toast was chefs kiss! Being someone who is spiritual the only thing I really didn't like was the Tarot cards on the table. Too many energies touching the cards...and seeing people using them like playing cards kind made me cringe. But to each his or her own there. Cafecito is a new coffee shop in the Versailles downtown area. The aesthetic of this place is so futuristic. It feels like you're not even in Jacksonville anymore, but you are now in California or something great location awesome place to meet up with friends and just chat they have Housemade syrup, so nothing too sugary and you know exactly what you're drinking. So excited this cafe is finally in its soft opening!!! The line was out the door when we arrived, which tells you how much the community is loving it so far. I ordered the ube halaya latte and it was great! More of a subtle ube flavor, but one of the owners told me he made the ube halaya syrup himself and is trying to steer away from using extracts, since those have a lot of chemicals! I definitely commend him for going the extra mile to keep things natural and homemade! My only complaint is that it can get very loud and echo-y in there - I had to pop in my Loops earbuds because I was getting slightly overstimulated. Americano advertised as $4.50, pandan syrup advertised as $1, after ordering, total came out to almost $8? I was fine placing the order hoping the coffee would be good but it was terrible. Tasted like a wet paper bag and the espresso tasted poor quality. Also, ambiance is nice but not good enough to make up for the pricing and product. My friend got a matcha and paid almost $11. After seeing them pour out pre made matcha in a pitcher, I was really disappointed with the lack of quality. The cups at southwest airlines even make these look like pup cups. read more

The matcha was watered down and tasted just like a culinary grade matcha powder. Jasmine milk wasn't there, i could barely taste any jasmine at all. I just wasn't getting an adequate matcha for $10. On top of that, we waited 20 minutes for a prosciutto arugula toast when it was not busy at all. They gave us a steamed bun for a free because of the wait but for 20 minutes i expected the toast to be at least warm. read more

Came in around early afternoon time and the store was full but not busy. I ordered an iced matcha with vanilla and the ube coffee cake. The coffee cake was good but definitely more of a traditional cake texture as opposed to a coffee cake. My matcha came out quickly, which was interesting. Overall it looked great in color, but when I took my first sip it was not whisked properly, and a lot of the matcha powder fell to the bottom. The presence of any vanilla was also missing. Great aesthetic but I hope they get the drinks running up to full speed as well as this is right around the corner from me. read more
