Was surprised to see so many vegan options & was a bit hard to choose without photos. I just ordered on the phone & took it to go. I went with the Mixto Vegano & it was really delicious! I'm not one to do fake meat but I'm glad I tried it, it was very flavorful. The only thing I wasn't expecting the rice & beans & everything to be all mixed together (but I maybe should have realized that with the name Mixto). Next time I will ask more questions to be sure what I'm ordering. Apparently they can make many of the sandwiches vegan too. I'm excited to go back & try some other things. read more

I had the Pavo sandwich with ham and bacon which was crunchy and tasty. I also, ordered an ice chai latte with oat milk which was a great start to my Sunday Morning. Recommended location for brunch or breakfast! Locals love this spot since it is calm. One of the greatest Cubans I've ever had, if not the best. I have always loved trying new things when I order. Additionally, their steaming coffee and marghareta sandwich, which I always have because it was so light, are both essential. I can't wait to have it tomorrow for breakfast! Absolutely love this place! It's so cute and quaint and the food is delicious too! I have yet to try a dish I don't love. They make the perfect cafe con leche - I never have to modify. The service is great too - everyone is friendly and accommodating. And the ambiance is lovely - it feels like a little mini vaca or escape right in your back yard. Service was excellent, they are willingand patiently answer all your questions of what is inside the sandwichas I am allergic to certain condiments. The Cubano sandwich was delicious. There was alot of pf meat and it is hot pressed to make it more flavorful. It is quite a small place inside the shopping center. This is a review for the Exotica Salad, sub arugula only. I love it and I appreciate how fast they make it and how fresh it is. Very sweet, humble, cool little spot that I visit often. I do think the tostones need to be served with salt and beans though, in place of a garlic oil dip and chimachurri - just my opinion. Again those salads are yummy, service sweet, and I love the citrus dressings. I haven't tried anything else. read more

I came here with a couple of friends and it was amazing I think between the four of us we probably tried nearly everything on the menu, we couldn't stop ordering. The space has indoor and outdoor seating and the quaint ambience is lovely. They pride themselves on their pressed sandwiches especially the Cubano and it is no wonder. Probably the best I've ever had. If you've seen the movie Chef you know how important it is to get this sandwich right and let me tell you their's is perfection. The service was excellent as well! Sophia and the staff we very friendly and very attentive they even brought us another table we ordered so much food lol. The owners made a point to come and check on us as well, they are both super friendly! The food was all around amazing there wasn't anything we didn't love to be honest. I especially loved the Cubano, Chivito, and the Mojo Shrimp. My friends and I unanimously love the Steak chimichurri plate. The chimichurri is made in house and we fought over the leftovers of it when we were packing our to go bags. We will be coming back for sure. It's nice that they open at 9am I count down the minutes until they open so I can get my fix in the morning! (There's not a lot open that early but n Calabasas). This is a gem of a find! One of my favorite sandwiches is the cubano. This spot provides a great option as they have a Cubano Pressed Sandwich with roasted pork, ham, swiss cheese, pickles and mustard. The flavor is delicious and well worth a try. They also have a Chimichurri Pressed Sandwich which includes tomato and chimichurri sauce. Both are great options to try at this location. Most of the food from here is very good except their rice. The meats, plantains, beans, and sandwiches are about 4 to 5 star quality but the rice is terrible. I've been there about 5 times and every time the rice is "blown out" or "mushy." It's overcooked and mushy with its outer layer broken and the insides spilling out. For people that don't eat rice too much, this is like having amazing meats and ingredients in a sandwich but the bread is sh!t. Please learn to cook the rice properly. Get a rice cooker or something. It's hands down the worst rice I've had ever and I've been eating rice for over 40 years. Ok, I'm done venting about the terrible rice now. Seems like a very popular spot, especially for locals, very few tables, so prepare to wait. I love that we have a local spot to head to for yummy Cuban food! The owners and workers are all friendly, and the food is delicious! I've had the chimichurri steak and the guava-q chicken with caramelized onions, so far. The beans and rice are spot on, as well as the meats and the portions are fairly large to the point where I can't eat all. I also had an amazing mocha made with almond milk, so good!
