I enjoy restaurants that create unique items for their menus. Cafe Wren makes a very yummy Peruvian Chicken wrap that contains chicken, sweet potato, pinto beans, quinoa, peppers and slaw. My daughter and I had the most lovely breakfast here today. Unexpected for small town WI. I loved my oatmeal with pepitas and almonds and a dollop of jam. Our maple lattes were equally wonderful. THE place to get lunch in Luck. Seriously, I always go here. My absolute favorite is the beet and goat cheese salad. So fresh and delicious. But it's seasonal, so sometimes I have to try their other wonderful salads, soups, and sandwiches. Plus their coffee is great and so are the baked goods. They always have art on display, as well. What the.......! Cafe Wren? Really? Palo Alto and Berkley check and see if one of your coffee shops are missing! Monterey and Santa Barbara you better check also because I think I may have found it in Luck Wisconsin! Located on the edge of a town in an area known for its lakes and cows, is this gem of a coffee shop. Solar powered and basically self sufficient in that it grows and makes fresh--really fresh, like on the actual premises fresh--treats that will thrash your waist line. Coffee is great and hot! The atmosphere is comforting and punctuated by soft music in the background. The rooms are colorfully painted and the walls decorated with art from local artists. The baristas are friendly(again, what the...)and polite. Now don't miss it. It is located about 25 feet off of WI 35/46 in what appears to be an old house in need of painting. The patios out back feature cows, beautiful green pastures, and lower blood pressure! Good food, good coffee, good views, and good people. I'll be back for sure. read more

We're fortunate to have such an exceptional bistro/coffee shop in a small town like Luck. Been going there for years. Made-from-scratch soups and sandwiches are always amazing, and don't get me started on the sweets! (Almond nut rolls!) Outdoor seating is a plus, as is the community room if you need a place for a business meeting. The Wren's proximity to the Gandy Dancer Trail makes it a popular stop for bikers and hikers as well. read more

The cute atmosphere combined with the delicious and fresh food at Cafe Wren made for the perfect breakfast experience on a cold and rainy day. The staff behind the counter were super friendly and our food was served quickly and hot. I ordered the turkey, Brie and Lingonberry sandwich (lunch served all day!) and my husband got the breakfast sandwich. The coffee was delicious and we were truly made to feel at home. I would definitely recommend Cafe Wren if traveling through or around Luck, WI. read more

5 stars for location. who would have thought this little cafe eatery would be here? And who would know 2 yelpers would write a review of it in the same day? Its like a glut for this little wren. I had heard from M about the luck of Luck, WI, and on the way in I planned a "bathroom" break here, (read coffee break). Cold press was delish. Just what I needed on the way to the cabin! So, on the way back, dodging tornados we popped in for a late light lunch and I got the Hummus sammy, and the wife got a soup and salad. Corn chowder with butternut squash? Yum. Yum. Yum. Keep up the good work, and go out of your way to eat here amongst the cows and cabins. read more

This cafe stands out for the crowd that it brings in. Located in rural Wisco Cafe Wren pulls out the musicians and poets in the community offering them a place to showcase there eminence talent. Cafe Wren prides itself in using solar power and the majority of food served is grown or supplied locally(that's right Sysco does not deliver there). The bakery goods are home made and the coffee is fair. the seating is not very warm though. Going back to the live music, there is some great up and coming bands that have made mark there. Whats really cool is where they preform used to be a bait shop in the 90's so the stage is in frount of the minno tubs! Acustics suck but none the less i'd see a show there anyday. read more

Maybe I'm biased. After all, I did pick some of the spinach that is served here when I worked on a local farm for a week. In my experience, many restaurants pay lip-service to the local food trend without actually serving much local food. Dealing with a dozen local farmers is much harder than dealing with a wholesaler like Sysco. So they sprinkle some local chives on a couple of dishes and then call it local. Cafe Wren really does buy from local farmers. Oh, did I mention that the food is good? They use good ingredients, both local and non-local. I love the turkey-bacon sandwich with greens. Don't forget their delicious desserts. The moist carrot cake with creamy icing is my favorite. Not what I expected in rural Wisconsin, the cafe has a lovely ambiance and many interesting music and art events. read more

We have enjoyed Cafe Wren for all their ten years of existence. We have been huge fans for all of these years. Their soups are sublime. I've purchased many of their recipes and made them at home. I love working from there when I need to get out of the house, heading down there on a Saturday morning for a nut roll, or a delish lunch of my FAV homemade soup and sandwich! I'm in love with their homemade made from scratch soups. And it's super awesome that Stephanie shares the recipe. Of course mine is never as good when I make it. Everyone was very friendly and eager to help! The restaraunt is decorated very cutely and featured local art and pottery. I had a mint milkshake (with whipped cream of course) and a mozzarella pesto sandwich. My boyfriend had the Bahn Mi and a chai latte. Cafe Wren is every bit as good as others have said. Stephanie cooks up fabulous food, largely vegetarian, wonderfully interesting, often spicy, using local ingredients as much as possible (I have seen her shopping in the local food co-op). The cafe is a popular local gathering spot and offers a venue for events. Local art on display, as well as *locals*. Cafe Wren is a jewel and we are ever so luck to have it here. read more

Was here for the Memorial Day Garden and Art sale.... nice unique gifts and something perfect for my Master Gardner mother.
